My mom and I was there for my mom's application. We had to wait about 40 min then we were greeted by Mrs Davenport. She was very knowledgeable and helpful and kind. We tried to take care of some issues over the phone and online services but was not successful. However. Mrs. Davenport took care of issue within minutes. She was very excellent to follow up with us later, too. She was the best SS office employee we ever experienced. We thank her very much for her dedication.

I stood in line of over 200 people to change my social security status from resident to citizen. And I've been waiting for my process for more than 1 month. And they tell me that I have to stand in line again so they can tell me what happened. If they don't want to work so that they can provide the service to the population.

Called to get my address updated. Woman rudely kept her speaker phone in our entire call and I could barely hear her! She said she updated my information and it was never updated and I lost my benefits! So now I try every day all day for the last week to get ahold of someone and all the phone dies is ring and ring! This location is the worst! I will be reporting this location and the lack of customer service!

I applied for benefits online but it instructs us to call to make an appt because the application is not complete without signed documents. NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE. I called several times wait over an hour each time then the line rings and itu2019s as if someone picked up the phone and left it on a desk. How can I complete anything if they are unavailable.

I keep on calling them and they are not answering they keep on hanging up on me even after I was on hold a long time. Very frustrating

Very unorganized and do not return calls with in 48 hours as required. My last case worker was awesome. This new case worker is the worse case one I have had and been dealing w/ SS since 2013 and since I moved to Houston I have had a terrible experience with this office. Majority of the office needs to be replaced.

I came to get a replacement Social security card . I got there 10:00 AM and left at 11:19 AM. When I signed into the computer there was only 17 people ahead of me.I only needed an ID or a DRIVER LICENSE, that's it ! Wow, how awesome for someone who lost everything else. Anyways, besides showing my ID, I had to answer one security question . And to get your replacement it is FREE of charge .The lady told me it will take 1-2 weeks for the card to come in. If you see a big line outside don't be scared away ! The security actually came out and let us know if we need a replacement we didn't need to wait in the big line outside. All I had to do was walk in, go to the left to the computers to sign in electronically and get a paper ticket number printed by the computer, and then go down the hall, where there is a sign that says social security cards and then there is a smaller lobby there that you can wait in. And be sure to fill out the form for the replacement it's only one page that you need to fill out and it only takes like 2 minutes to fill out.Don' t print out the form at home, they have plenty of forms and pens there .And just wait for your ticket number to be called and once I talked to the lady about my replacement she only need me for about 5 min and then I'm done , that's it. Simple. This is easier than I thought. I was scared I would have to wait like 2-3 hours on a Friday :)nUpdate : I got my SS replacement in less than 2 weeks .

I found the office to be well organized and efficient. The agent that helped me was especially nice and courteous, even though she could not help me with my problem (a Medicare issue). She was still helpful with my questions. I was in and out in about an hour, even though the line was about 50 people outside the door when I first got there. This is my second experience there, and both have gone smoothly.

Super unprofessional I have been waiting on my daughteru2019s replacement social for almost 2months and whenever I call Iu2019m told just wait another week and they also canu2019t find her info being processed even tho they sent me a letter saying itu2019s being processed!!! Sending her stuff to Conroe and hopefully I will have better luck!

Arrived at 9:50a left 11:55anThe wait was long but it's most likely because they only had 2/6 windows open on a Monday!nThey have SSA forms there for new/replacement cards. Wish I knew that before going some place to print it out.nYou need a form of ID for verification, they won't accept birth certificate (only to verify age).nOnce I was called up for name change it was super fast n easy, took literally 4minutes. Staff was nice and professional. It only goes awry if you don't have the right documents.

I literally donu2019t know what these reviews are about; Iu2019m assuming the people that are experiencing long wait times are going to this facility for disability purposes. I literally got in line outside at 9:11 AM and I got my receipt at 9:44 AM for a Social Security card . thatu2019s 30 minutes! I had the pretty black lady with the lisp, she was nice thorough and fast u2018!

Went there and the customer service representative didn't want to do her job. I called and was advised that if my paper license says I can use it with and old ID. She didn't want to help me out what so ever I heard someone else asked secured questions which she could have asked me and didn't. Then they put you out the building in the cold while waiting on a ride. Never in my life have I experienced the non customer service In my life.

I am sure the experience depends on what youu2019re going for, but I had a great experience changing my name after marriage here today. Got there right before they opened and had to stand in line outside. Once they started letting people in, we were divided into lines. Yes the security guards have an attitude, and I donu2019t defend that kind of thing, but they had to deal with some difficult people this a.m. Still no excuse but anyway. Anyway I was called quickly and got my name changed with no hassle and everyone was nice. Not near as bad as I anticipated!

My experience today was way better than expected. My whole visit took about 1hr, probably because I only needed to change my name on the SSN card. Other services would definitely take longer.nI arrived at the office at 8:30am in a Tuesday morning, 30u2019 before the door was actually opened. There was a line of about 25 people in front of me. The guards and coordinator I encountered today were very courteous and helpful (they were different people than the one mentioned in the other reviews.) One guard approached the line and explained the security policy to visitors (no weapons, drinks, foods, etc.) while another one arranging a separate line for SSN card purposes only. They actually let us in at 8:45.nOnce we got inside the building, we were met by a coordinator at the computer to sign in and received a number. The SSN card related services were served in lobby B, other services were served in lobby A (there were big, red signs for this also)nThe representative who helped me today was nice and efficient. It only took her about 5u2019 to complete my request.nI left the building feeling lucky.nI am very glad that it seemed like the office took in peopleu2019s constructive opinions and improved the quality of their service. I definitely would not be as concerned about the service here next time I need to visit.

I went to update records on my benefits and I sat in the office for 1-2 hours. I woke up as early as 7:00AM and was the 8th person in line. The representative told me that he updated my files and he told me everything was good to go. The files were never updated and he inconvenienced me and my siblings. Horrible customer service skills and they donu2019t care what you are going through.

A real pleasure and unexpected! A very organized staff and security personnel. I felt safe and respected. I had the pleasure of being serviced by a Mr. Washington and he was a real nice man. I recommend being in line for when they open as they do there best to process the morning crowds quickly. From start to finish it took 40 minutes.

Best. Service. Ever. I was concerned that this would be a very tedious and frustrating process, based on earlier reviews, and prior experience with government agencies. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised! I got there at 8:35am, to a very long line already formed out into the parking lot. Since the office does not open until 9am, I expected to be waiting outside all that time. Instead, they took in several people at a time, starting as soon as I got in line. They tried to get as many people as allowed into the lobby, even though they werenu2019t technically open, to keep people from having to stand outside. They were unbelievably organized and efficient. I was called back for a name change at 9am, along with a whole section of others, and completely done and walking to my car by 9:08am. I am so impressed and amazed at how friendly, organized, and efficient the whole experience was. They did a great job!

Iu2019m not sure about these other peopleu2019s experiences but mine was quick and painless. The line was pretty much around the corner when I got there at 8:40 for a name change. By the time the doors opened everyone was moved in and out. It took no time to get what I needed done. Most of all they were efficient at keeping everyone where they needed to be. Wish all places were this efficient.

Very impressed. Wait was reasonable - just over an hour from arrival (at 9) to seeing Mr. Porter. He was really helpful - both in resolving our problem and (particularly good) in explaining why we had had the problem. All the staff (including security who explain clearly what you can and cannot do) were highly professional.

In 2014, I visited this SSA office to file paperwork for my SS retirement benefits. The claims representatives were professional and knowledgeable. My benefits started without a hitch.nnIn 2017, I visited this office with my daughter, Liz. We filed paperwork to have her designated as the payee for my mentally challenged brother.nnOnce again, we were satisfied.
