After waiting outside in line, without a single word from any employees, for an hour and half, I finally made it inside. When I made it inside, I was informed Iu2019m not allowed to carry my pepper spray as it is considered a weapon. As a young female, I always have it on my so I completely spaced it. Instead of allowing me to just throw it away or have them take it away, they told me that I had to take it completely off property. I parked a few blocks away so I asked if I could still have my spot back when I come back. I was told I would need to go to the back of the line now stretching around the corner. The employee had absolutely zero empathy or logical thinking. Maybe I wouldnu2019t be as upset had I not had to pay for parking and take off work early in order to meet their 9-4 hours. Canu2019t wait to go back again on Monday for round two.

I just wanted to know if my paperwork was received and maybe a little comfort. Being disabled every change is scary but not only after 2 hours told to call back in a week but rude about any concerns I may have. Compassion can go farnn:I called back and got the most kind, compassionate woman. She made me feel better, knew exactly what I needed to know and hear. She was AMAZING

All personnel from the security guards to the workers are extremely rude with major attitude and won't listen to you or let you talk. No compassion what so ever.. You guys should be ashamed for treating people on social security like my grandma that way. I know you guys deal with all types of people, but everyone deserves a fair treatment until other wise. What goes around will come around as we all will be on social security one day! Who's ever is in charge needs to read all these reviews and hold their employees accountable!

I have called multiple times trying to set an appointment. After about 20 minutes they disconnect the line. Sometimes it switches from hold music to ringing, suggesting that someone is hearing the line ring, but they still just hang up. Also the music sounds like breaking glass.nnUpdate: I called the Social Security in Santa Fe and the Santa Fe employee picked up the phone! In like 5 minutes! I was getting a new card for a name change and she told me I didn't need an appointment. She also told me there was a drop box inside the ABQ office, and that I could just put my files in a sealed envelope and drop them off at the office. So if you're getting a new card because your name changed, just put your completed application and proofs in a file and drop it off.

On the paper they gave me , it shows that it may takes up four weeks to get my SSN. However , until now , I still did not get SSN after 7 weeks and when I called them to ask for the status of my SSN, they responded to me very poorly and rudely. They cut off my phone call while talking to me because they said they did not understand my English. I could not believe these people working for New Mexico people because from the reviews, it seems like there are many people here that have the same issue as I have with this office. I think all staff in this office should be fired because they do not do their job well. I really donu2019t want to pay tax to pay for the staff in this office. That is so ridiculous.

It is now April 1st and we are well past the covid pandemic but the office will not allow in person visits without appointments. Appointments are impossible to schedule because no one ever picks up the phone. I am unable to file taxes due to a SS glitch which I am not able to fix.

I was contacted by E Lucero to have a review done on March 15th and he sent me paperwork to have me send him more paperwork or create an appointment to bring the paperwork in. I called the number to create an appointment to bring the paperwork in 3 weeks ago on 3 different occasions and left 3 different messages. He still has not called back so I opted to send the paperwork in on April 3rd through mail and he still has not responded to let me know if he received the paperwork. So I called and left a 4th message today to no avail. Mind you the paperwork he sent me said that I had to contact them before April 14th or lose my benifits and yet he won't pick up the phone or call back and I haven't received a lick of mail even though I also tried contacting by mail as well with a response. So please if you get E Lucero as someone who reviews your case ask for someone else cause all this person did is completely disregard me and I will be taking this to the Better Business buru because this is absolutely unacceptable and I will be writing the mayor a letter about this as well.

The WORST to get a live person to speak to! Been calling for weeks to speak to Mrs. Hayes and she never returns my call. Have left over 8 voicemails and nothing!nnCalling to speak to a representative, line always hangs up or when someone does pick up, itu2019s dead air and no one comes to the phone. Other times I get a u201cNot sure what box youu2019re trying to reachu201d and the call hangs up.

The guards were nice - kinda makes a difference when your not rude to them. The rest however? Barely any parking. God forbid a massive gubbament building have parking other than just for the bureaucrats. Downtown ABQ and you have to park blocks away because the self-important government cannot put an office in Valencia county, or make parking available for those that have to come to their building. Iu2019d mention the idiotic requirements too - but that doesnu2019t matter. The bureaucracy makes its money by making life difficult for normal people - common sense doesnu2019t exist in government.

Sadly, you can speak to 10 people there and get 10 answers with none of them helpful. They do not understand the effect they are having on people that need help. This is not cable TV or an Internet provider. There is much more at stake and the impact of the information they give has much higher consequences. I am going on 6 months with no health insurance because they cannot get it together and fix a mistake they made initially.

After waiting for nearly an hour, finally made contact with a man that worked there, I attempted to explain my situation, only to have him hang up on me rudely. The customer service is very poor.

The people are working there deserve zero dollar for the service they are providing. None of them will survive even one day in private sector. Rude, zero knowledge. They go there just to get pay checks for no work. I am glad I donu2019t have to deal with them all time. I wish I can give them less then zero star

Very aggressive, workers treat you like trash, have an attitude like they are paying you out of their own pocket. I had to beg, crying, before anyone even tried to help. Aggressive with my elderly mother, confused her with questions and then cut the benefits. Nothing changed, but they act like everyone is a thief. THEY NEVER CALL YOU BACK, NEVER SEND LETTERS OF EXPLANATION.

Process started a little shaky at first, but we were able to get the help we needed. We needed to fix my mother in laws social security benefits. Ronald in Amarillo first helped us and he was phenomenal. He told us exactly what we need to communicate to the reps in the Albuquerque office. Eva in the Albuquerque office is who helped us finish the process. She was a little stressed at first (we all were) but she was fantastic! She was beyond helpful, communicative, and walked us through every step to handle the issue. We had to communicate on multiple occasions to get everything resolved. She was beyond helpful. So Thank You Eva! We appreciate you.

Worst office ever. They never answer your calls, when the do answer your calls they hang up on you, they give you the run around, they are rude and if you have a case worker well you can forget about them because they don't answer your calls and when you leave them a message they don't call back. They also don't give their really name or id number they just give some fake name. If I could I would give them a no stars.

If you like rude people and unprofessional and don't know what their doing. Then this place is for you, They refuse to send paperwork will tell you go library and wait times are in the hours expect them half time not to identify themselves and if you ask to speak someone in charge expect to be hung up on. They aren't all like this there are a very few that try but must have demonic attitude. If I had holy water I'd splash them
    Lina Isasi
They don't answer their phone. And the security is evil left me sitting outside in the cold wouldn't let talk to anyone. The security watched me freezing and laughing. I tried to call for a appointment but the 1800 number told me i didn't need a appointment. Horrible people.

They never answer no. No way to get anything fixed here. Seems like the people that need help at the social security office are on their own
    Cecil Chavez
I really hate giving a bad review. Not worth the tax dollars to keep it operational. Waste of time. Multiple calls waiting to schedule an appointment. I went to fix a simple name change issue. I was told it was an error due to a system change years ago. Finally, made an appointment, and provided all the correct documentation. They still sent me the wrong card.nAbsolutely no quality control, and unprofessional. If I had made the same mistake over again with a client Iu2019d be fired. #Incompetent.

It is a physical impossibility to talk to someone alive. The automated service is completely useless. When the phone is answered, one is left waiting before someone asks how can they help us and finally, the phone gets hung up by them. The service we get is therefore, non-existent, -a ghost office. I have tried calling and sending letters. They never respond. A completely worthless service. It leaves much to be desired.
    Gene Encinias
Staff needs to learn to have better manners with public or get a job where they don't deal with the public
    Florence Gallegos
After waiting on phone infront of building to get appointment to change my daughters name with social security. We were hung up on 2 times. 3rd time we got rudest agent on phone. Poor instructions on how to do what we needed to do. out come was mail your original documents in and we will send it back when we send it back. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Why should we pay for people like this to work. And why cant I give no star. zip zero.
    Debbie Martinez
Average wait time 15 min. A hour and 15 min later I got frustrated because cell phones are not land lines now to figure out what to do
    Derek Dao
Absolutely terrible, I called on the phone and after about 5 minutes of recording and even listing all the options, it finally said they were closed. It was a BIG WASTE OF TIME.
    Bard Hebard
On hold for 30 minutes and then at 2:50 pm their time they said it was past hours. Really, must be nice to quit working before 3 pm. I have left over 5 messages over the past week and no call back. How are you suppose to take care of issues so you can get your social security money. Very disappointing.
    Ashley Salazar
If I could rate it 0 stars I would. They have no idea what they are doing and everyone keeps blaming everyone else for their own mistakes. They never want to answer the phone and the people on the phone are soooo rude and inappropriate.
    Aba Ortiz
Called your office 4 times and been on hold waiting for a customer service rep but each time I get hung up on
