I tried to make a call everyday around 9-10AM from Monday to Friday because it was very hard to get though. My phone was hung up as always when waiting for someone.nOne day, finally, an officer picked up my phone and gave me an appointment. When I came, they were very nice to help me do SSN for my kids.nnBe patient and try if you get the same like me. Good luck!

Whomever I talk to I always get good advice. They patiently walk me through my paperwork and answer all my questions. If they cannot answer a question, they always call me back with an answer. I have also received good resources from them as well. Unexpectedly, I became my mother's POA and now my brother's guardian and had no idea what I needed to do. I am very grateful for all the assistance they have given me. Thank you to the Wausau SSA office!

On 3/15/22 went to Wausau office to get replacement forms. It's locked down. Guard gave us 2 numbers to call. One is a RESTRICTED number, it cant be accessed. The other kept me on hold for over ONE HOUR only to find out those operators cant arrange for replacement forms. Tried today to make an appointment in Wausau. Forget trying to get through and the message says appointments are only for extreme emergencies so I'd probably get turned down anyway. The website isn't easy either. ABOMINABLE SERVICE!!!! You dont even deserve the one star I gave you just so I coukd write a review

I've been trying since December 2021 to get someone on the phone & I am on hold forever & then the call disconnects. There's nobody in the office to handle my paperwork either. This is getting ridiculous. Even prior to December I could never reach an agent. As you can see from other comments, this location is useless.

I check my earnings record every year. 2016 has been wrong. Told them and gave them W2s to show what it should be. That was 2 years ago. . . . It is 2022 and the amount has not changed. Get with it.

I am frustrated that the office is not open in Wausau, Wi. It has been closed for over a year and a half. It is difficult to do things over the phone. It would be nice to meet with someone in person. I don't understand why it has been closed for so long. Other businesses have reopened after Covid. Not sure why the Social Security office cannot reopen?? Does anyone have an answer?

I've found the agents to be helpful and respectful both in person and on the phone.nnAn issue I've had for years now has been that I need to inform social security of changes at least three times before it finally shows up consistently in the system. This is not the fault of one particular office because we've moved several times and this issue continued to happen.nnIn the past I've been treated like the money I was getting for my children was coming straight out of the agents pocket, thankfully this particular office has been a much better experience.

I called 5X between 9am-9:15AM on Monday and I get an automated message saying u201call agents are busy at this time...please call lateru201d then it disconnects. Of course Iu2019d come in with my questions but you need an appointment for that. It would be nice if I could actually get a person on the phone. Must be nice to work for a job that doesnu2019t hold you accountable.

Horrible. Can never reach anyone, and get hung up on while waiting on hold. Case workers make assumptions and have personal vendettas against clients. Never receive the proper letters in the mail either. You just notice your deposits are smaller, then suddenly that they're accusing you of an overpayment and garnishing your ssdi now.....without letting you know. Shelley Cremer in particular is a very cold and unhelpful person, she'll have her mind already made up , even if you present all of the information she asks for. She'll instate the state ssi amount for you, only to demand you pay it back once she determines she thinks you're married....even if you're not.. she'll drag out a simple financial review and manipulate the terms until it breaks you. This is not here to help people, it's here to stressed already vulnerable people into giving up due to harassment or drawn out accusations that her supervisor will even say aren't ok. A disgrace to disabled Americans.

Received a voicemail regarding my daughter's disability claim, asking me to call them back. I've been calling for over a week and can't get through, and the agent hasn't returned my numerous voicemails. I even had another agent email and call her, and she promised to call back that same day, and still nothing. Maybe bringing my lawyers into it will help.

I had made an appointment to go in person and the manager I spoke with said to be in the office at a certain time. However, when I got there I waited for almost 20 minutes. I had to knock on the door and the guard opened i explained I had an appointment just to find out it wasn't true. I was upset.

You listen the recording and select 0.nIt rings a couple of times then stops. No one answers.nHow can you set up an appointment when you can't talk to anyone?

Is there a reason why no one ever answered the phone at this social security office
    Andrianna Pirillo
I am extremely disappointed in the service provided today on the phone. 9/10/20 at 1:30pm. The man I spoke with was very rude and raised his voice to me very rudely while I was repeating my email address because it was being mispronounced. I hope something can be done about this, I feel very offended by the way I was treated and nobody should feel this way after talking to someone from this office, or anywhere at that.

Wow! This was easier than I ever expected! Got my information edited quickly and efficiently. Got phone support from Keith G.in the local office. He was marvelous! Solved my question in a Jiffy!

Need better hours to accommodate everyone, not just those who don't work outside the home. I know the office is affiliated with the government; but you need extended hours at least two days out of the week!!

Really wish they had weekend hours. Even banker hours or open from 11AM-6PM would be good for us getting off work or coming in at lunch.

My husband and I received great service and every question answered once we ended up in Wausau. I am sorry to say that our experience was not the same with the Wisconsin Rapids office.

Waited for almost an hour on the telephone and with all the comments of wait time, they just cut me off after waiting almost an hour! I was on the 1_ 800 number waiting. They never said they will disconnect if they close, or what time!
