SoI arrive at office and it is locked up, and says by appointment only. Okay. Just that it doesn't connect you with anyone. If it is giving a message I don't know, it sounds like computer noises. Nicely a Security guard did speak to me at the door. Just there was no other customers and was not let in. At least there is an online platform because as past experience has told me, this is one of the most inept government offices I have ever experienced.

Instead of just putting me on hold, I getLine busy--instantly hanging me up--or, if I'm lucky, I can get to the menu, but they'll instantly tell me that my call could not be completed. Thing is, when I was calling a few weeks ago, they would put me on hold until they were ready--what gives?

This is one of the most mixed up groups of people you could ever work with. Since 2019 I've been accused of not complying with their requests in a timely manner only to have them check my file and see that my documents had been sent by me in an appropriate time. A letter stating that my benefits were being suspended never arrived despite the fact that I had notified them immediately of my change of address. Weeks later I spoke with Dana and requested that she update my address yet again and send me that letter. It never arrived. Now I'm being told that I have to repay months of benefits that I can't afford to repay and still have money on which to live. Their mistake not mine. I tried to contact Abby, Lynn, and Mrs Flink, but no one ever returns my calls. I always send in my documentation immediately or report job changes immediately while they take weeks and months to respond. When I was married last year I took the necessary steps to have my name changed on my social security documents and card. An African American girl in the office worked on that issue and made massive mistakes so that my name was never changed and I was never issued a new social security card until I called back to investigate what had happened weeks later. She had no idea what she was doing yet she never apologized. When I call most of the people who answer the phone are rude and angry to me when they are supposed to be helping me since I am the consumer and I pay their wages. Faceless people hide behind anonymity and make life changing decisions that I have to live with while I'm trying to fight back from major disability. They make excuses for themselves while they continue to make many mistakes. I've worked a professional position where I was responsible for a very heavy case load and I never acted like these people act. I took responsibility for myself and my clients as well as keeping up with a heavy load of documentation. This is not acceptable and it's time for it to stop.

Dana input my address incorrectly. Then blamed me for it when I called to notify them that my mail was sent to the wrong address. I corrected the address mid September.nnApplied for a social security card at the beginning of September, it's now October 25th and still don't have a card.nCalled to inquire, they had both addresses listed and she saidby the time you called to correct your address there was nothing we could doand Dana HUNG UP ON ME.nI would assume they would send a card to the correct address after they are notified the address wasn't correcy.nnCan't even do her job correctly and provides the worst customer service. She needs to be retrained, she is dealing with sensitive information and has horrible communication skills.

On December 30, 2020, we called in to inquire about updating my wife's social security card to reflect that she is now a naturalized citizen of the United States. The gentleman said she needed to send in the original certificate of naturalization and my original drivers license as well as an original birth certificate. He gave me a timeline of about 8 days to get these originals scanned in and sent back to me. It was based on this conversation that she decided, she will update her Social Security card first before applying for a passport as the timeline was long but manageable.nWe mailed in the application along with the documents needed (original Drivers License, Certificate of Naturalization, Birth Certificate) on December 31, 2020 via priority mail. The local office received it on 01-04-2021. Our issue is based on the timeline given in the initial phone call, I should have had my originals back by mid January. As of 01-25-2021 I received my updated social security card, but as of 1-28-2021 have yet to receive original documents back! This is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what we were told would happen.nWe called in a few more times since mid-January. we were told they were sent out. Replacement cost of a certificate of naturalization is $555.00, plus biometrics and what seems like a very lengthy process. Being without a driveru2019s license for a month is completely unacceptable. How does SSA think they can create this type of hardship and then be so callus about it. We were hung up on today by them after we stated we will file a formal complaint. No good bye, no can I help with anything else, just a hang up. We were polite and have been on every call. We have been more understanding as well do to the pandemic, but we have to do this all again for our daughter. We will apply for passports first if we ever get back our originals.

I applied for a name change on my ss card after my wedding. They returned all my documents after 2 weeks. Its now been 5 weeks and I have not received a new card. I have called 4 separate times to try to get an answer and each time nobody can give me an answer. Each time they also agreed to call me back within 24hrs ...no calls back. This is beyond ridiculous at this point.

Close. The office is closed. And the telephone number connect me with someone who really doesn't give a s***. So save your gas and your time and just try to do everything from home like there's not even a Social Security employee that wants to help you.

I called to have a question answered a week ago, she was unable to give me the answer so we set up a phone interview three weeks from then, so I could get the info she needed. I called today with the info, Lamont wouldn't help me, saying to wait for the call, and then HUNG UP on me!

Called on the phone to see if I could get a replacement ssc, understanding the covid situation going on, requested if there was anyway to obtain some sort of physical form or if there was an availability for schedule a face to face to get it done and was instantly denied and told to go through via mail, frustrating, and rude about the situation unfortunately, thanks Carl and the US ss administration.
