Backwards 3rd-world State.nNo one answers the phone. You need to make an appointment to go in.nNeeded SS Card replacement, while nearly ALL States allow this to be done ONLINE but 4. They want you to send your Driver's Lic. to them. How completely STUPID! They will take a certified Medical report? So, besides getting you jailed for not having your lic with you while they have it for 2 weeks, they are prepared to violate the HIPPA?

Terrible experience applying for a social security card. Never received the card. Called the SSA office to have another card re-issued. The agent I spoke to first tried to convince me I received the card given that my address was correct and then reluctantly agreed to submit a non-receipt but ended the call with me saying she was having network issues promising to do it as soon as the issue is resolved. Turns out she never submitted it at all! So now I have to file another application.

On hold for over 30 minutes just to get a fax number. This information should be available online.

I had a problem with my social security when I first started collecting and had to go to the Morgantown office a few times. The problem was NOT their fault, but with something I did wrong. The employees there were so nice and really helpful and they were not only helpful to me, but to each other when a question arose. Also, my wait time was never over 35 minutes with lots of people ahead of me. Even the security guard is nice!
