Absolutely worst attitude when I called for information. I believe I spoke to Mary and she was just awful . Iu2019m a very friendly person , easy going. But she was horrible, work on your customer service.

They are very strict here at the door and the service is perfect.

Super confused about the 1 star reviews - I am assuming people did not come prepared so it slowed down the process. I arrived 20 minutes before they opened and already found a line so I do agree you should arrive on time. However, once we were through security I had the name change process done in less than 10 minutes. I had pre checked what forms I needed to bring with me , and this ensured the employees were able to do their jobs. I was VERY impressed by the efficiency.nnTo be clear , I definitely don't work for the building or have relatives who do- I'm just a super happy customer !

Just wait to do business in person... FFS they give you wrong information over the phone and now I'm literally sending several proofs of documentation including my drivers license because I am tired of going back and forth for months with them. They are federal workers and are there to collect that easy check. ud83eudd37u200du2640ufe0f

I've had to visit this office twice now. Both times I can early so I was one of the first people in line. It was about as painless as a trip to a government office could be.nnParking is a bit of a nightmare. I really do recommend coming 30 minutes prior to their opening time (9am). Also be aware that they close for 2 weeks at Christmas.nnAs soon as you walk in, you will need to fill out a form stating your reason for coming and take a number. The office itself is a bit dated and shabby (again... typical government office) but the chairs are comfortable and there are televisions to entertain you while you wait.nnI found the staff to be fairly quick and moderately polite.

Came in at 2:12 for a replacement card and was out within an hour. A lot of people there but most were waiting with others that were there. Surprisingly the staff were friendly and got people in and out pretty fast. Would be faster if people listened for their numbers and not go up two numbers later. Have your stuff ready and you'll be in and out in no time.

The social security office lost my passport book. They claimed they mailed it, but I never received it.

Is the second trip I have had to make to their office. The first time my notarized copy of my marriage certificate wasn't good enough I had to go purchase a new certified copy. I went back a second time only to be sent away again because I didn't have my divorce decree I had two forms of identification a passport a birth certificate a military ID As well as the original marriage certificate for that marriage and a Social Security card but because I didn't have the divorce decree with me they turned me away yet again. I will not be going back to this office the most useful thing about this office is the security guards there they are very alert very courteous I wish their staff members could have the same personality as their security workers

I arrived 15 minutes before they opened and I was the 15th person in line and still waited over 2 hours before I was seen. When they first called my number, the representative's phone was not coming through on the Intercom, so they ended up skipping me. I noticed my number come up on the tv after hearing them call a few numbers after me which let me know my number was skipped, so I informed the security guard. He spoke to the rep and confirmed that the rep's phone wasn't working at all and that I would be called when the next rep was available. 30 minutes later my number was called. The rep had no idea what she was doing then had me go sit back down until someone else could take me which of course took another 45 minutes.nI should not be waiting 3 hours to get out when I was the 15th person to show up that morning. Completely ridiculous.

Today 01/30/20 I was in this place with my girl who is two months old. It seems very good to me that the guards will check everything for safety but I see it unhygienic and professional that the guards are touching the things of a baby with a pair of gloves. fabric that has been used to review and touch everyone who has entered I think I should wear disposable gloves for those occasions I hope they take this criticism in a constructive way everything else very professional

Second time I've had to come to this address. Both occasions staff have been very pleasant in the office apart from the loser security guards who really have no reason for the aggressive attitude they show to some people.nStaff try and assist with clear instructions even before getting a number to be seen and talk to everyone on how to speed the process up. My second time here the wait was rather long considering I was fourth in line to be seen. First time seemed wuicker and I was much further down the queue.nBy luck on both ocasiones I have been dealt with by a very efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous member of staff who has made life very easy for me in dealing with my situation. I can't fault the service received to be honest.nMore complicated cases I'm sure might have a different outcome in anyone's experiences but I rate it highly for the purpose I had to visit.

At about 10:30am, people were moved to the front of the line. The excuse the worker had is that they were for a specific job. They needed replacement cards or letters. The idea that the employees can only do a simple task and are not capable of doing more of the means that some should not be working at the office. This a horrible experience. SS needs to review its work ethnics and people acknowledgment. I get to the waiting room (yeas we have a waiting area and then a waitng room) most windows are closed which I about 11:30am.

Just left the social security office. Just came in to get my name change since our recent wedding. I knew there was gonna be a wait so I was ready for that. We walk in and tell the guard why we are there for the social security office he then tells us that they are holding the line so we would have to wait up there. We sat behind an elderly man and started the wait. About 5 min later a pretty young lady nurse walks in and says she also was going to social security office and he lets he right through both me and my husband look at each other. Right after two more people walk in and we're both asked to have a seat. We decided to leave and come back another day. Is that fair that one person can get through while others have to wait?hmmm

The system to serve individuals is very efficient, resulting in little wait time. Security officers are polite, and clear with instruction. Expect to follow the same rules as you would in an airport.

I got charged $225.00 for a print out of my work history. Is this a new policy in the past I never got charged. And the lady who attended to me didn't even brake a smile like she really wasn't interested in helping people.

Completely unprofessional can't wait a minute while you get your ssi card they will hang up on you

Waited almost 2 hours to get a replacement card and the security guard was rude as can be we weren't allowed to speak he threatened to kick us out. We weren't being loud at all . Horrible experience.

This is the worst location ,for a simple card replacement took 31/2... hours and the employes there are just as intolerable as the wait. For most part they have the worst additudes and make it seem like it's costing them to help us do what we are there for .Never going to that location and I suggest you dont waste your time there either.

Very less wait time. Although, thrice i've gone in there for my kid's SSN, and i still havent received it :)nnUpdate: I still havent received the SSN, after my third visit. Wonder why!

    William Sanders
I do not think it is possible for the wait times to be any longer... been sitting here two hours and still haven't been called... Yes I have been here since before the office opened and no I don't see an end in sight because the numbers are called without regard for logic... I have literally watched it jump from 99 to 96 to 101.

I appreciate what they do the people they help I understand that they are overwhelmed however they really screwed me. Lost my appeal paperwork was taken off of disability with no notice on the kidney transplant patient and have no income to pay for my medications now.

    All smooth with my process
    Karen Rubio
The process of even getting into the office is a hassle. Been waiting an hour in the downstairs lobby now and we just see people coming in and the line is just piling up. 1 hr later, no change, we are all still here downstairs waiting to even pass through security.
    Jessica Eso
If you get there early the wait isn't terrible but the staff is horrible. The security guard in the office is very hostile and the ladies are very rude.

This is one of the worst Social Security office I have ever been to. Not everyone is here for goverment assistance. We just need a name change and have been here for 2 hours. The workers left and all went to lunch no one smiles.
    Lisa Lisa
The security was very rude I get the safety part but yelling at people that are at the disabilities office is horrible. Not pleasant experience
