The line outside was moving faster than I expected (Monday early afternoon) but that doesnu2019t mean that you wonu2019t wait when you get inside. Waited for 30 min to get inside. (At least, youu2019ll get to wait in AC) You get to pull out a ticket via kiosk and still wait more to be called. There are 30+ windows but I donu2019t think all of them are open. Waited another 45 min to be called. Wait time was total approx. 1.5 hour. Not so bad without an appointment. They could use a better audio system to call people since itu2019s hard to understand. But, overall, the staffs are very professional and helpful.nn***Mask and social distancing are mandated.nThe security officer will give you the mask if you donu2019t have one. No weapon is allowed including pepper spray.

I just want to say it was a great service at the Social Security Administration the attention from the security guys was excellent super helpful and nice character, the people who attended my request of the service was great, nice and fast, I can't be more grateful for the service...even when the number voucher system was broken it only took me 40 minutes in total...well it also helped me to check in Google at what time was least busy...and what day so that way... I saw Tuesday it no was so busy after 12pm...and I was right because I went at 12:40pm and it was out al 1:20pm so no complaints and congratulations to de SSA for the excellent service.

Doors open at 9am. We got here at 9:30am and there is already a line outside the building. Security will come out periodically to let a few in at a time. Wait time was about an hour before we were seen. They accept walk-in. Appointment are really not necessary. People were still serviced in the order they arrived. Mask are still mandatory! If you forget yours, the office provides them. We filled out our application online (have your confirmation number), but fill out a copy and have it with you because sometimes they can't pull it up. You will sign in at a kiosk machine and then a ticket will be printed. Security can help if you don't know. Your number will be called over the PA system. They still practice social distancing. There will be seats labeled for non occupancy. Security was very proactive and can answer all your questions, they made the experience very pleasant!! It was a painless experience for us.

I needed a name change on my social security card due to marriage and they got it done smoothly. There was a line outside when I got there but the entire process took only 1 hour. All they asked from me was my drivers license and my marriage license. Very smooth easy process if you just pay attention to what the security guards tell you.

Ridiculous. Started online 2 weeks ago trying to get appointment which told me to call them. Call them NO ANSWER for hours / days pretty sure no one actually answers the phone ever. Show up in PERSON, guy at front security guard is dismissive and rude basically told me Iu2019d have better luck not filling a form out at all. Told me to call them. Itu2019s been now 3 weeks since Iu2019ve had my name legally changed & havenu2019t been able to get in contact to update my social and birth certificate. I was told I HAD to notify them as soon as possible and havenu2019t been able to talk to anyone. What a joke. Better off driving 2 hours away at an office and waiting in line for 3 hours. You people need to figure out whatu2019s going on with your company and employees. Horrible. Not even a voice mail machine ? My favorite is waiting 30 mins on the phone to have an automated system run me around and then hang up on me . Do better

Thank you to the security officers for putting up with us. I am so sorry you have to deal with people like me. We are stressed and have little to no time to deal with this system Covid has placed on us.nnTO GET AN APPOINTMENT.nKeep calling just keep calling someone will pick up donu2019t leave a voicemail unless you have time to wait. Call as soon as they open and just keep calling they hand up call back they send you to voicemail handup and call.nI finally got though and have an appointment.nnI would give a 0 because I wish they made this process easier but I give 5 to the security officers that had to deal with me.nThank you so much for everything you put up with. And Iu2019m sorry I just had to find out how to get an appointment if I stayed silent any longer we would never get this done in time.

The hardest part about it due to the COVID situation is getting the appointment but is reasonable since they only do appointments which can be done through their website or phone.nnThe process when visiting is really simple and straight. Do Mobile Check in 15 minutes earlier and once you're there so you can get your appt. ticket. Enter at your scheduled appointment and an officer will check you in (have identification ready) from there they will direct you to a window.nnIf you're there for something that requires any form to be filled out, print it at home and have it already filled out, it makes your visit even smoother for everyone.nnThe only reason I out 4 stars was because of the pain that it can be when getting an appointment, depending on the person that you speak to, it can be a really good experience or a bad one.nnGood luck! And be patient.

Great experience visiting this SSN office. Offices are open now for walk-ins. I went on Wednesday and there was no queue outside office. Wait time of around 20 mins before my token number was called. Staff is always ready to help. Ample parking space available. Plan to visit mid week for less wait time.

Everyone at the office is very professional from the front security guys to each rep assisting the customers. I arrive at the building at 7:55am and at 8:55am security came out and gave us instructions. They were very kind and helpful. Once inside I was assigned to window number 16 were I met Isabell. Isabellu2019s customer service was excellent. She was very knowledgeable on each question that I asked her.

Everyone was very nice! The edit was long but worth it. I heard one of the officers say theyu2019re not taking appointments online since last week , which is when they opened back up, but thereu2019s no line Thursday and Friday.

They lost my application with drivers license. They refuse to call me back every time I call they say a supervisor will contact meu2014 they donu2019t, they FINALLY opened and stopnMaking COVID excuses, for everything. Now they still have masks and spacing which is not required for the feds or the state of Texas anymore. They made me sit separately from my husband, how does the make any sense whatsoever?! They are just using COVID to make excuses to be lazy,

the service was good but the process was very disappointed. I applied SSN for the first time in Grand Praire las Nov. 2,2022 and they given me a piece of paper stating that they will verify my Alien Status and has to wait for four weeks. After 4 weeks I did follow up them like 6 times but there was no update regarding my applications. Now I have been waiting for 8 months since I applied but nothing is happening. Maybe people are not really concern how people like us who wants their SSN. So disappointing

There is a Mrs. Martinez who already hung up on me twice today which is totally rude....this is not the way a government facility should be handling customer service, please have a manager or supervisor in charge contact me asap. My fathers health should not be taken lightly neither his financial status. If they do not want to work then why even go in. This is absurd and the worse experience ever.

Worst place to do business etcu2026 Managers donu2019t care about the public or employees.. They past the work until it lands in the shredding bend.. Danita Gaddy, Tatiana White, Avis Rideway, and Fifi Woolridge all are terrible managers and only care about making their money and not the public or employeesu2026 Most managers would tell some employees that they cook, clean and run errands etc while working at home..
    Elvira Guerrero
Terrible service, one makes almost a month in advance because one wants to speak directly with people and nothing through a door they attend to one and with the heat that it is, that older people do not deserve more respect and give good customer service.
    Annastasha Amidon
Says closes at 4pm online, got here at 3pm and am told it's already closed. Update your hours so people don't lose time and money for leaving work early.

Very disappointednthe service is outdated and inefficiency I could expected back in 1900's but with todays technology!!!! it seems more like the manager does not want to provide service. I lost my SS card back in February and it's been months trying to get a new one they don't accept appointments the phone service is the worst (over 1 hour on Hold) it must be nice to get paid for not doing anything.

I have been calling and emailing cause I sent important documentation to get my kids SSN that I never received in the first place. I want to make sure they got it cause its my original documents. No is answering the phone or they just hang up. They are a government office so they should open. I am really worried about my documents and I need my kids SSN. They are not responding to phone calls or emails.
    Brad Bilger
Called them up, needing to drop off papers. Was advised that we could drop them off with the security officer in the lobby and he would put them in a drop box. Arrived at noon, only to find the building locked up tight, a mob of people with appointments shaking the door trying to get someone's attention. One lady had been trying for several weeks to get her appointment. Called again and finally someone admitted that they were closed and that the Drop box was inside but that they for SURE would be open tomorrow. We'll see when we drive BACK out there again. There were some people there upset since they had appointments, and had taken off work to be there. No notification at all.

I'm so annoyed with just trying to get a social security card. Knowing you provide an important service to people's lives, but seeminly can't even get that right. This is an important aspect of peoples lives no way they should still be closed. They are essential to peoples lives! Why would I send my Id for a few weeks for a replacement card..Like I don't need my id what if y'all loose it. I'm not comfortable doing that. Like you want someone to not have id for a few weeks, and this makes sense to them this is best you could come up with.. It shouldn't be this complicated this is ridiculous! They don't need jobs since no services are being provided. I wish I could give them negative stars. They might as well get unemployment and stay home cuz ain't no work getting done. I don't understand why a federal building closed anyway.. Everyone else is working! Smh

Been calling them up everyday for an appointment to apply for a new SSN. I have always been put on hold forever. Wondering how everyone is getting appointment in the SSN offices since they don't allow in person interactions. Could someone help me understand how to get an appointment apart from going over the long waiting hours on phone?nnEdit : Call the Denton SSN office, they are quick to respond and there is almost no hold time on call.

I'm very dissatisfied with the Social Security offices being closed down. I'm trying to find a job so that I can get a job so that I can pay rent. Not being able to get a replacement Social Security card has been a major problem. I don't feel comfortable with sending in my ID. In case, I need it . I don't have a Passport. Please do something about this problem. Or I am going to end up homeless.
    Mr. Infante
This is unbelievable. The ONLY way to make an appointment is by phone, but every time you call there is a busy tone, Iu2019ve been trying for days and today I could luckily get connected only to be waiting for over 2 hours on hold. I wonder how people can actually get appointments, this is ridiculous smh

Tried to reach out SSN office using the given number more than 15 times in different days. No luck so far. I wanted to check my elder daughter's SSN status. We should have received her SSN 2 or 3 weeks ago as per USCIS. No luck through online service either. Please see the attached screenshots for the same. I went to this SSN office twice to schedule an appointment itself. I was told that they will schedule the appointment only through phone or online. Unfortunately both are NOT working. I hope someone will fix this issue in future. God bless everyone.

I cannot drop in due to covid. You can only set an appointment but they have no open dates at anytime, and no open dates in the future. I have been on hold over 5 hours to talk to them and just before 6 o'clock they disconnected my phone without ever talking to me. Very bad experience. I called this morning as well and had to hang up after 2 hours on hold and recalled this afternoon. They wasted my entire day because I needed to talk to them for 10 minutes at the most.

The worst agency phone service ever experience. Tried to call in several different days & numerous times but still can never got connected to a live agent just for a 10 min question...No way I can make an appointment in order to show needed document requested for proof. I'm afraid of mailing in these important documents because I'm afraid of getting loss them with this type of service ...

Every time I try calling itu2019s always 2 hours trying to talk to someone, nobody answers. This is the ultimate disrespect towards everyone trying to solve their issues. I have been trying to renew my drivers license for 3 years but I canu2019t because the only document missing is my social security card. I literally donu2019t know what to do anymore

Since August I have been unsuccessful speaking with a caseworker. I tried my luck today and I got a MELISSA. was patient kind and actually helped me and she is not my caseworker. She told me it was her pleasure and a privilege to serve the community she treats people as if she was in the same shoes. I got so much further with her in 1 conversation than I have been able to in 4 months with 4 different workers. I speak blessings and prosperity for her and she needs to be supervisor or someone in charge of how you handle consumer relations. Phone etiquette was 10 and she had me hold while she work. I'm so grateful today for her. Amongst the Covid we all are fighting. We gotta have more love for each other. More patience More FAITH.
