I am very impressed and satisfied with the service I have received from this office. I was skeptical at first reading past reviews, but this experience could not have been more pleasant. I dropped off my documents for a name change and within the same week they mailed me back all of my original documents, and the following week I received my new card. It was a very easy and smooth process. I will say I was not able to contact anyone when I called, but I looked up everything I needed online and was able to do everything through drop off.

Do you seriously send all of your original documents in the mail? Will anyone be going back to work and dealing with the public any time soon? Just saying Iu2019ve been working this whole time, if only there was a place where we walked in with our original documents and spoke to someone in person and got the info that we neededu2026 everyone I know that has a kid received their kids ss# and birth certificate in the mail. Seems like some people are just setting back in their chair with feet on their desks working for the government making mulla!

It is incredibly hard to get ahold of someone over the phone. Plus, on top of this, they lost my official marriage license. We were going to give them a certified copy but said they could only accept the real thing. It's now been a month without any word back from them.nSuper annoying because I can't get the rest of my appointments done to change my name without the original copy.

I have called & called since August. I finally got one person to deal with yet I canu2019t get calls back from him. I found mistakes on my u201cApplication Summary for Widowu2019s or Widoweru2019s Insurance Benefitsu201d. I was told in the application to respond in 10 days if there are mistakes. I have tried!!! My full name is repeated twice under names that I have used & the last name is wrong in another place when I married.

Does the SSA employee more than one worker at each office??? I've filed an appeal & the SSA started on the final step Jan 24. It states that the process could take anywhere from 2-4 weeks before the final decision is reached. Today is March 12th and the appeal process is still not finished! How many more weeks am I going to have to wait just to get turned down again???

The office is open yet closed because you can no longer walk in to handle your business.. for us who do not have all day to be on hold to make an appointment and it's easier for us to go to the place and fill out the paperwork and get it it done and over with now can not we are met at the door by security to tell you to call and make an appointment smh which now you send the day being on hold and calls get dropped and you call back and you do this for days on end before getting a hold of someone to finally get an appointment... so something that would normally take you a few hours at most by doing a walk-in now may take you a week... Terrible .....worst part you can't schedule an appointment online

Well I sat on hold for 15 minutes just to be told go online. I explained I already applied online and the message said contact my local office which again I told her and she told me to reapply and start process again. I understand Covid-19 but simple service to the public in need is all I am asking for. To the website I go now smh.

I have called this office several times for different reasons and recipients/applicants. I am usually disconnected when I ask to speak to someone... I would say at least three out of four times. I have also had agents flat out lie to me regarding someone's status, verified when I spoke to two other people at this office. The one extra star above the minimum is for the one employee that took the time to listen, research, and find what the applicant needed.

Ya'll may as well just pretend this office doesn't exist because they are refusing to see anyone in person and they do not answer the phone what so ever. When you call it will ring and then within 5 minutes you'll get disconnected, and when I call the fort worth offices it'll ring and I'll be on hold for a little bit but you'll eventually get through. I don't know what they expect us to do when they won't answer the phones and aren't letting in anyone in? I don't know what they're doing in that building but it sure isn't work. This office should 100% be reported for just blatantly refusing to do their jobs. It's ridiculous, unprofessional and shameful.

Called 5 times. Every time same thing happened phone rings snd then hangs up on you. Then I called Ft Worth office and the guy said I canu2019t hear you. I could hear him just fine. This is a joke! Iu2019m giving this a 0 on a scale 1-10. ud83eudd26u200du2640ufe0fud83dude29

I called today to update our address and the gentleman and his mentor were absolutely phenomenal. With Covid happening a lot of things are done online or over the phone. This experience today was one of the best Iu2019ve had in dealing with the social security office. They explained everything and were kind and courteous!!!

I tried calling 6 times. I never got to a person, the system kept hanging up on me. I tried 4xs using another number for the office givento me on a letter, but the only options were dial an extension or dial by name, and since I had neither, got hung up on there too.

Unable to get anyone on the phone. Iu2019ve called this office 5 times today, and each time I have been disconnected before having a chance to talk with anyone.nI thought perhaps they might be having phone issues, but tried the Fort Worth office and got the same result. This is simply rediculous.

I am writing this to inform anyone dealing with Mr. Jones at the Cleburne location that he is very unprofessional and has a nasty attitude. However, Mrs. Childress was nice as she can be. I also work in a similar setting as these workers and I would not have a job if I treated the caller on the other line the way Mr. Jones treated me. This job has got to be tough in a time like this, but no one should act as he did. You must be a miserable person to act this way. All calls should be recorded even if they are working from home. I do appreciate Mrs. Childress taking the time to speak with me and understand the situation. Thank you.

Mr.Jones at the Cleburne office is THE WORST. Terribly unprofessional and rude! Should not be working in this field if he canu2019t handle miscommunications, or even normal conversations it seems..?? Mr.Jones and this whole SSA office is a JOKE. Go to Ft Worth if you can, and save your time and effort.

They make it IMPOSSIBLE to change your name. Wonu2019t let you come in and do it so they want you to leave your actual drivers license in the drop box. Not sure how youu2019re supposed to go without your drivers license since itu2019s against the law in Texas to drive without one.nAbsolutely insane

I had an appointment with a very nice man named Robert who got me in to see him within a few minutes of arriving for questions regarding my social security benefits. Make an appointment in advance is the best policy--cuts down on waiting time. My time with Robert went efficient and to the point. He is a helper and helped me with getting all set up with my timely payment schedule. I felt such a relief and was treated with such kindness that I forgot I was in agovernmentoffice. He is a real caring human being and very thoughtful. I was out of there in no time. I will be sending my husband to him when he is ready for his social security benefits.

I just got married 2 days ago. Was here to request a new ss card due name change. I was in and out within 30 min as long as you've the proper documents they need. Security staff was really helpful as soon as you stepped in, trying to help you! The social security employee was also very helpful. He handled everything in a professional and timely manner. Thank you so much

Everytime I call no one answers and when I do get a hold of someone and I get to the person I need to talk to she is never there or I'll leave a message and I never get a call back . They need more help or something .

Arrived the morning of New Year's Eve. Security officer was gracious and accommodating. He went out of his way to be helpful. The SSA representative I met with, Ms. Nelson was efficient, accommodating and very pleasant. I was dreading this visit and it turned out to be nothing but a pleasant experience. Kudos to the Cleburne SSA office!!

Cleburne office is closed for in person services. Signs are posted outside saying all employees are still working remotely and to disregard posted office hours.

Stayed on hold for ever then they just cut you off!!!

I went there on a Friday, and after I waited, I showed the lady who was helping me the proof I had (2018's W2) that the amount that social security had listed as earnings for 2017, it was the same exact amount, she changed the year of my earnings in the computer, took a copy of my W2, had me sign the form saying she'd changed the year. Then I asked her, because I have informed delivery, where I receive a picture of the mail that I'm going to receive that day, that a letter from social security would be delivered that day and could she please let me know if I had anything to worry about. She checked her computer, and point blank lied to me saying that I wasn't receiving anything from social security. That afternoon, I received a letter from social security saying that I had gainful employment in 2017, and therefore wasn't qualified for disability since then, and would have 60 days to pay back almost $22,000!! And she said that there was nothing to worry about!! People at the social security office wonder why the suicide rate is so high in America?? Veterans, elderly and disabled people are treated like crud, while the rich people get to stomp all over the 3 groups of people! The curly-haired lady that told me there was nothing to worry about, should be highly ashamed of herself and pray to God tomorrow for having down and out lied to my face! I have to go back yet another time, to prove that I have NOT been gainfully employed since 2017!

Go first thing in the morning. Like immediately when they open. Then all staff is working. I had to come here twice.nnOnce, at 11am and only 3 people were working and it was taking FOREVER. I gave up pretty quickly because no one had been called in the 30 minutes I was there.nSecond time - at 9am immediately as they opened and still waited 45 minutes.

So if you want fast and convenient service. Put n.a. extra $5-$10 in your gas tank and drive to Ft. Worth. Here's how my experience went over at Cleburne as I was trying to get a ss card for my son so I can enroll him in school ... first I waited an hour and a half for my number to be skipped and told to get in the back of the line. Then I waited another 45 min to get told that they don't take military dependent ids because my son is 5 and military ids were not a reliable source of identification, then they told me they couldn't take my son's original shot records because they were hand written (mind you they were for. NC and that's how they do it out there), then they told me the printed copies I hadwere not originalso they couldn't accept those either. A week later I took the same exact things up to Ft. Worth, where I waited 2 minutes to get my number called and 10 minutes for the same exact ID and shot records to be processed. I will never go back to Cleburne SS office again as they are a waste of tax payers money.

Their hours are not customer friendly. It would help if they stayed open at LEAST 1 day later than 4:00! Most people dont even get off until 5:00, then they have to drive usually 30 mins to an hour.

Rude employees, especiallyCarolin the Cleburne office. Refused to answer questions & said she didn't have time to finish filing for benefits of my recently deceased veteran husband. My husband lost his life as a result of serving our country and I have worked & paid social security taxes for over 40 years & should not be treated so badly. It is so shameful that the veterans and elderly are treated so badly, bullied & strong- armed by our government. Typical lazy, no care government employees.

I have called twice today. Option 4 to hear office hours is not recognized. Pressed Option 0 to speak to someone, rang twice and hung up on me both times. Office hours are not listed on google.

Arcena (I'm not sure about the spelling) has absolutely no business working as a public servant. Please remember that your job is to serve. If I spoke to my clients the way you spoke to me, I'd have been out of business in my first year.

I call the office to Request a appointment to get my social security card replaced. The staff was very nice and professional.
