Employees were kind, friendly, and efficient! The wait was a little long (~1 hour) but thatu2019s to be expected with any government office. The only reason Iu2019m not giving five stars is because I was told over the phone that appointments could not be made at this office when they very clearly had a line for appointments when I arrived. Overall, great service and a satisfactory wait time!

Customer service sucks ! but the overall service from the office was timely and very efficient . The men who picked up the phones were very rude and there were certain days I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to pick up but they did answer almost every call . I mailed out documents for a replacement social for my child on Feb 5th with next day delivery and on February 11th I received the receipt stating that the replacement is on the way . Literally the only office where I could get in touch with someone !

They are awful. When I was finally able to talk to a person they said hello and then immediately hung up the phone, now my calls don't go through at all they either immediately hang up or hang up after I've been waiting. I'm a little suspicious the number is wrong and someone not officiated with the ssa is the one taking calls. Overall they deserve zero stars but thats not an option ud83dude44

Out of the three times I called this office only the nice lady helped me with my current issue. The other two times I called very rude gentlemen answered the phone. One of them said the system was down and the other one hung up when I did not have the information he wanted even though the main line was fine with that information.
    Audrey Reznicek
These people that answer the phones are absolutely useless. I was on hold for 25 min to make a appointment and then thefemalethat answered was extremely rude. And hung up on me when I could not answer her question to her satisfaction. I called back was then on hold for an hour and spoke to another rude female. Don't know if these were call center hires or SSA employees but regardless they need training in customer service and manners.

I've been trying to call the office to get through to make an appointment for the last week. Every day I call I am disconnected. I've spent multiple hours on hold to be disconnected... not happy at all. What's going on?!

When posting to make a good or unsatisfactory comment, please include the name of the person helping you...this will help the next person who is ready to pull out their hair. Seems they answer if you've got a name to give.

Called 20 more times , most time nobody picked up the phone, sometimes looks like some picked up the phone, but keep silences for many hours.

I have never been so rudely spoken to to make matters wrose they just hung up on me. Worse customer service I have ever experienced, just call somewhere else.
    Sherran Strong - Beckmann
How many times do you get disconnected before you go without an appointment? I've been on the phone two hours. On hold continues to cut me off.

You can definitely relate to all of these negative reviews. I called the number online and Dialed the Spanish prompt option since I was translating. I was on hold for a couple of minutes and a non-Spanish speaker answered rudely. Luckily Iu2019m bilingual and had no difficulty. I proceeded to ask him for information for retirement and he answered very rudely. He wouldnu2019t even let me finish talking. Definitely do not recommend this office. I Canu2019t even imagine what kind of service someone who doesnu2019t speak English would receive.

They take your information and then hang up on you. I have called since 9 am. They want let you come into the office yet they will not answer the phones. I have been on hold 4 times. Each time was 25 to 30 minutes. What kind of people are running the Social Security office?

Can't give it any stars but I have to just to post this. Was suppose to get a call back 5 days ago and now for two days all I get is a busy signal on the phone.
    Ayazhan Bazarbekova
It's been almost 2 weeks since I started calling the office, and I still do it everyday in the morning just to set up time for an appointment, and still nobody answers my call. Could you please manage the calls, or make it possible to set an appointment through the website. Now it's literally impossible to get the service!
    Taylor Noey
The gentleman there is very rude. Don't know why people can't hire ppl with nice customers service.
    Caleigh Scott
Name change took over 5 weeks. When I finally got my passport and marriage license back in the mail, it said I'd receive my new card in 2 weeks. This process needs to move faster, especially if they're not going to give the option to go in person.
    Edward Surya
Been calling for the last 2 weeks, last try I waited 1 and a half hours and nobody bothered to pick up. Do not recommend.
    Megan Morgan
I was advised by an employee in this office to send in my original passport and marriage license for a name change due to marriage. It has been well over a month and no employees in the office can confirm whether my documents have even been received. The excuse I have been given is that they are so behind on opening the mail that it takes 6-8 weeks to open the mail being received. I mailed these documents from the post office that can be seen from the parking lot of the social security office. I have left multiple voicemails for the manager requesting some type of status update and have been told by numerous employees that they are sending messages to the manager with my contact information reach out to me. Yet not a single response from anyone in management. There is no excuse for this type of service.

Have called several times to set up appointment. They finallyanswerafter 17 minutes waiting for someone to take my call but no one is on the line. Have to hang up and do it all over again.
    Jessey Artache
Extremely incompetent and possibly the worst form of customer service I have experienced in a very very long time. I have been waiting for back pay that I a owed for over two years now and was told by multiple representatives at the toll free number to call into my local office and request a manager to manager review with the payment center. Every time I tried calling to speak to a manager representatives at this location told me it was not possible and after hearing my situation they magically have the ability to transfer me to her. Every time I have been transferred to the manager she has no ability to even receive voicemails and my calls are automatically declined. Last I spoke to a representative, he informed me that she would call me after meetings and I left my call back number and still received no information for over a week. I called and spoke to the same representative today and told him I've been waiting to speak to a manager and without even confirming who I was with my social security number or date of birth he started listing private information about my case. I was told the manager denied my claim for a manger-to-manager review even when technical adviser's at the toll free number have told me to do just that and they have more than enough evidence seeing as I have been owed money for over two years. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional and I would advise anyone who is trying to get information from them to go or call elsewhere.

Utterly inept and useless! Went in person and got turned away because they only take appointments made by phone. I have spent a total of 47 minutes on the phone waiting to speak to someone to make an appointment.
    Rocio Caravantes Mazariegos
I have been in this office twice. The first time I got my SS Card (about 6 months ago) and the second time was today to process a card replacement. The first time my process was done by a man and today it was done by a girl. Both of them were very professional, attentive and nice.nIt is not common for local government offices to be that efficient. So I wanted to write a positive review because even the guard at the front desk is kind, which means that there must be a good administration/management so that they can perform very well.

I brought someone to the SSI office and noticed that the employees are very RUDE, UNFRIENDLY employees that work in this building. The office hours are ridiculous! The employees talk to you with no respect or dignity to their clients. Please give your employees proper training on Customer Service because they really do need it!!!
    Luis Gonzalez
Sent my information in about a year ago so I can get my social security card and still havenu2019t received anything! This is unprofessional and a disgrace to the community
    Tammy Miller
Very rude. Did not listen to the question I was asking and then hung up on me
    Travis Miller
I had two forms each from my wife and I to file for Medicare. There was no return address on the forms, so I went to deliver them at the local office in Bryan. There were two security guards at the door, but as I surveyed the room, there was no one servicing the 75- to 100 people seated in the lobby. Nor was there any apparent place to drop off forms. I asked the security guards if there were any people servicing this large crowd. He informed that there was a machine and I could enter my contact information. I don't have any way to know, but it looked like I might have a two hour wait to drop off the forms. I drove one block to the US Postal service office, secured a priority envelope and mailed it to the Social Security office one block away. A startlingly inefficient way to service the public.

This is a busy place and even getting there before they open doesn't ensure that you will be seen quickly. I got there 10 minutes early and there were already 18 people in line. However, the people working there were very friendly and professional. The security officer even cracked a few jokes and helped everyone feel comfortable.
    COLLEEN DAU
They gave me the wrong information and were rude too. The security guard was not friendly. I don't talk on my cell phone in public and was simply moving my cell phone from a pocket to my purse and he freaked out. Very embarrassing. After I was there for about 15 minutes, more people came in and he informed them that the computers were down and there was a 2 hour wait. That would've been nice to know when I arrived since I took off time from work to go there. And we pay them to treat us like dirt.
    Armydoc
They have a great system set up and depending on what you need will get you in and out, i.e. getting a replacement social security card.nOther things like applying for SSI will take longer but that system moves pretty quickly as well with their number system.nHave to say that for a government agency, it was very pleasant.
    Linda Hancock
This office is closed. There is a phone number to call. The person that answered told me that they will be closed indefinitely and that I should check the news and social media for when they may be open again. Also, I was informed that they are not processing anything through the mail either. So, if you don't have an emergent situation, don't expect anything.
