I have not had a good experience with Morristown Social Security Office. It has been going on 5 months now and I still do not have all my wages posted. The lady I have been working with has been so unfriendly, uncaring and just mean. I asked her why she had to talk to me so mean. That I was nervous trying to get everything and had done everything I was told to. It's not good to have people in this position that are rude and ugly to elderly people. I can only imagine what some people have had to deal with. Its sad that they can get by with talking down to me and trying to rush me through the phone call.

I went for a name change and signed in and took a number. Called back within 10 minutes. The worker was easy and plesant to talk to. Whole visit took about 20 minutes.

I was assisted by Jackie (didnu2019t get her last name) and she was WONDERFUL!!! I have been in limbo with my application since 11/2020 making several calls to the national SSA office as well as my local office in Memphis, TN. Somehow my call to the Memphis office was answered by her and she was able to assist me in getting my application completed. She was very professional and courteous.

Very friendly! I've spoken to incredibly rude employees on the phone in other offices (maybe Nashville???), but the people who work at the Morristown office are super sweet and helpful.

The staff in the office are very nice. Calling in for help is useless! Edited: When you DO get through to someone, make sure you get their name and contact extension. After I did that, things went well.

I cannot rave enough about Morristown SS Office. I spoke with a Mrs. Farrel ( not sure of the spelling) she was so helpful. Acted fast and went above anything I expected. A pleasure to deal with and professional in every way!

These folks are awesome. We only waited a few minutes the first visit. They told us exactly what we needed to resolve the issue. We took the paperwork they needed back in the next day. No wait time. The young lady was extremely nice and actually called the next day to let us know the problem had been fixed.

Calling any government office has always been a chore but I have to say that the ladies and gentleman at the Morristown, TN Social Security office were fantastic. (I will come back and post their names but do not have them with me at the moment!) They were patient, kind, and compassionate. I was extremely upset and they were of great help... Pam V.

Wow! No line! I mean like very friendly workers, lots of chairs. You go in and use the computer terminal to check in, and then have a seat. Lots of parking spaces. Convenient location.

Most of the workers know how to do their job and I'm proud we have such a good office. However, when mistakes are made by one worker that adds months on your case ..there isn't a darn thing you can do about it besides go home and tough it out.Its not fair how a young male worker gave me the wrong information he had right in front of him and it costed me months and I'm still waiting on two back checks that were misdirected.
    Brittany Long
They are always so rude every time I call. They never give the same answer! They need to hire some new people with respect.
