Rock Hill Social Security Office

My wife did apply for SSN on September 24th. And still waiting for SSN. I did received an acknowledgement letter twice - 1 in October and another in November which says you have applied for SSN. I did call at least 5 times till now, every time I spoke to different people and got different response. The last person I spoke with was so frustrated that she said someone nameAriago(sorry if I misspelled here) will call us back and literally hung up the phone. Still waiting for that call back. They are even not ready to give us the appointment to come over and speak to someone on why I have not received SSN, what is missing etc. etc. I am really frustrated to see such irresponsible service and communication for something critical - SSN. Can someone please help us with what's going on with my wife's SSN application ?????

I got in and out in a matter of no time. Everyone including the security as you walked in was fabulous. I dont understand the low ratings on google.

Ridiculous that they are still closed to the public. It took them 4 weeks just to tell me that they want another form from me before they can process my paperwork and even then, I had to call to see what the hold up was.

Tried to call and get information about changing my name on my SSC a guy I didnu2019t get the name of, had an attitude with me wouldnu2019t really give me any real answers, put me on hold and then hung up on me. Rude and terrible attitude. Awful service

Incredibly helpful and respectful folks! I went early and was in and out in 20 minutes!!! So impressed!

The people that work at the office are absolutely amazing. The ones that work on the phone however, leave you on hold for 15 minutes and then hang up. Which is lovely, when you're trying to get a hold of your SSN's whereabouts and no one actually gives two damns about doing their job right. If you don't want to work just quit, no one's making you do it.

The representative I spoke to was thorough with the information required for me to take action, in order to secure an appointment. I was treated kindly over the phone. Keep up the awesome customer service!

Worst government run office in SC. Keep calling them, they put you on hold and hung up. Not sure if they are doing it on purpose or thats how the telephone services are designed in this office. If your call has been answered it means you are probably lucky enough that day.

Actually for going to a government office this one actually is run nicely and is clean and the people are very friendly and professional. Basically any governmental office in Rock Hill is pleasant to have an appointment at. The staff here is very knowledgeable in accommodating and professional. do you expect as all other government offices at times there will be long waits and other times you'll get lucky and get right in. Just go in and go with the flow and remember the person working with you is only doing their job. If you have a problem do not take it out on that person.

The person in the office I spoke with was very nice and explained everything I needed to do by mail since the office is closed to the public. Made it a lot easier then trying to figure it out online. Thank you!

I live in Mecklenburg County in North Carolina, and I choose to drive to this office because the reviews were far more positive for this location than the other 2. I am so glad I did.nnI was pleasantly surprised that the representative solved a problem - and (quickly I might add )I had with the SSA help desk.nnI had about an hour wait, which wasnu2019t to bad and I glad I waited because the young man solved a problem I had been trying to get solved for two weeks online.nnI didnu2019t get his name, but he serve me at window A, around 2:30 pm on January 7th.nnu2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014u2014nSSAu2019s national help desk (NOT THIS LOCATION) is deplorable and the people assigned to their help desk are lacking in every aspect of professionalism, courtesy and concern for your problem. I called twice, had to hold for more than 45 mins each time, and I finally got to talk to someone, they demonstrated absolutely no ability or care in solving your problem. Matter of fact, in both cases, they outright lied to me about what I needed to do to solve my problem.

I'm being inconvenienced by the ss office not being opened like other government agencies..I'm having to run around the dmv to get a certified copy of my license..

When you call the national number and then call rock hill office you, you get a different answer and it's mostly a more treating outcome. I wish they would consider the situation you're in before demanding you come into the office at a specific time. I'm blind and can't drive. I just can't pick up and go when I want to. But if I'm not there when they say, they will cut my check out.

Everytime i call them they put me on hold for 10-15 minutes then they just hang up, absolutely terrible customer service, I just called for the 3rd time and as i was explaining my reason for the call they just hanged up on me. What a joke

Takes forever for them to finish paperwork for any help, even if you are approved. Unless it is something simple like a replacement card, be prepared to wait months. My husband had a massive stroke in November, still waiting tho he has been approved.

I came here because I had to apply for a new social security card since I'm an intentional student who works at Winthrop University. They were great, I had a fast service, and I'd rather be there 10 times instead of going to the office in Charlotte.

Nothing but error after error at this office and many employees at the rock hill South Carolina are the AUTHORS AND CREATORS OF LIES ! They never return phone calls and is the worst ssa office I have ever visited in life !!! This place and itu2019s employees are so terrible that I contacted congress to help deal with the catastrophic mess they have created in my account !!! Absolutely DESPICABLE.........

I continuously call, get put on hold for 15-17 minutes, then hung up on. Typical govt workers.

Never an extreme long wait, even at the beginning of the month. Excellent staff and office. The best SSA I've ever visited, and I've been to quite a few.

Never a real good experience every time I go there. Everybody seems to have an attitude. Every once in awhile you'll get lucky and get somebody that seems to care about their job

Customer service is so bad at this office. People will lie to you just to get you off the phone and not help.

Eight minutes in and out to process Medicare application. Went just before noon. Canu2019t beat that!

When I went the wait time was ridiculous, but the staff was very friendly and helpful!
