I donu2019t understand the bad reviews bc I had a good experience dropping my documents off, was helped by the nicest security guard, and then had a follow up call with yet another nice person Mrs. Tu2026 (not going to disclose) and am very grateful for their prompt help. Thank yu2019all.

For those who call and get no one. If you listen carefully you may hear the child who picked up the phone. One time we sat on their for 15 mins hoping the adult would realize. Just shows the competency of those working in that office ( or at home).Keep a copy of all your paperwork, keep a note of when you made phone calls, If you have to fax something keep records of everything you faxed when you faxed it. If something is mailed make sure it needs to be signed for. Yes it's a hassle but definitely worth it. This particular office will lie to you and tell you they don't have something when in fact they have 29 pages of that something because they keep saying they never received it. They do the least amount of work possible and then try to blame it on you.

Had to mail in my original marriage certificate in order to have my name changed on my social security card. They recommend that you mail in any official documents via certified mail so that you have a tracking number. I followed their recommendation, and now here we are 3 weeks later and I have received a new social security card but the marriage certificate seems to be missing in action. I got the letter stating that all documents that I had mailed in were being returned with the letter, but nothing was in the envelope. I called the office but because of the corona everyone except the field supervisor is working from home so no one knows anything. Go figure.

These people have gave me the run around with trying to get my daughters social security card for school. First they requested 3 different documents (which I sent in) then they sent me an application, 2 weeks later, which I had to send in. Then 2 weeks later I never got her card which led me to have to call them and ask what was going on, only for them to tell me that the application was refused. And that I need to send in two different documents. By now my daughters school has stopped accepting new students. Thatu2019s RIDICULOUS. Do better.

COVID-19 has given these people an excuse for not to their jobs...They write you a letter stating you need to call this person but you can never reach them...You leave a message but you never get a reply back so what's the point in having a field office if nobody's ever working...Office's are closed no in person visits...The 800 number is just as badud83eudd37ud83cudffe

I don't even want to give that one star. If you google the wordSLACKthis office comes up. Since they have closed nobody wants to do their job. I received two different response by two SR's over the phone. I plan on calling to report the unprofessional workers at this office. I suggest if you are encountering this same problem do the same thing I'm doing. You may have to wait long on the 1-800...but this has to be fixed.

I missed my appointment call because my phone service doesn't except private numbers. They were late calling me anyways and when I called right back they were very rude and didn't care why I couldn't answer my phone. I didn't know my phone service put blocks on my phone. I suggest that they need to come to their office instead of taking advantage by working at home with private numbers. The lady that answered was very rude and showed no compassion.

They REALLY NEED to open back up because the service over the phone has been SLACK! Nobody wants to do their job since the office has been closed. The department as a whole needs to be evaluated and staff replaced if they don't want to work! Even when open everyone employed seems unhappy there.

The man in window 11 was nice friendly and very efficient and quick. They need better signs to let you know you sign in to a computer and that there isn't a person to see or talk to.
