Recently got married, sent in legally certified copies of my paperwork so I could get my name changed in the important places that still need it. Took 3 weeks for them to tell me it was denied. Iu2019ve been calling every day multiple times to try and get an appointment to go in and do it. No one answers, ever and getting an emails back is just as hard. Followed their directions online and was still denied.nnNow receiving an email very aggressively telling me they were not taking appointments from the public. And a copy paste of the steps listen online which were followed. Straight to the legal certified copy of documentation and still denied. With no way to talk to someone and get the information updated.nnLovely service

Quick and painless as every government office should be! Great experience!

The staff is very pleasant to interact with. They do all they can to make you feel comfortable and to help you. The ladies who work behind the window have sweet smiles and a good attitude, welcoming people and helping them with whatever they are there for. The take a number system works well so that you know when you are next. Today when I went there, there wasn't any line so I could walk right up to the window. That happens rarely. There are various waiting times, depending on how many people are there, which is hard to predict. I had an exceptionally extra very good and fast service today.

I've had to call this office twice in the last week and both times the staff has been extremely helpful and willing to assist me with my questions. Very rarely do I hang up with a government related office in such a positive mood. Excellent staff all around.

The staff was really nice. Smooth and simple process without too much wait. Did not expect such service walking in and was pleasantly surprised.nIf you wanna avoid problems don't be the person who forgets the necessary documents and complains that the staff made you wait and told you to go back because it's literally their job. So take it out on yourself not the people working there.nIf you are an international student at Penn State this is where you will most likely go to get your SSN when you get your first campus job. You can collect the instructions from Dissa or your job administration.

Since you can't find it anywhere: The office hours are 9-4 M, T, Th, F, and 9-12 W. I found out by showing up at 2pm on a Wednesday. Come on, government, didn't Wednesdaybanking hoursdie in the 80s?

It would be nice to post a phone number online that actually worked. The 800 number always has a wait of 45+ minutes or I can never get through.
