I have been trying to simply schedule an appointment for over a week!nLike every other government entity, they do not care, they don't want to work. Very nice treatment to the people that pay your salaries with their taxes!nUseless

The worst SSA office to deal with. Some of the people that work here are unprofessional and nasty, don't answer the phone when you call and let's it ring constantly, and when they do eventually answer they hang up on you. You can call and call and leave a message for them to return your call and they don't.

Brian was so very helpful on the phone the other day, he was so enjoyable to talk to. He just made my day. Itu2019s really hard in these unprecedented times to smile, but Brian sure did help. Thank goodness for him and his service

They don't answer the phone for a loooong time. When you do call, the automated service holds you hostage by talking about everything except why you called before they get an agent. It's difficult to understand the foreigner's deeply accented English.

Called 3xs this morning and someone picked up and said nothing but you can clearly hear the blasting tv in the background of the news. This is a joke!..They put you on hold for a long time just to play this game. Not impressed!

I went there to provide information to set up widowers social security benefit. I had all the necessary paperwork with me and I was in and out within 45 minutes including the wait time. The individual I worked with was efficient and provided me with all relevant information to set up my benefit. I was very happy with the experience.

You are allowed in the Oppenheim Lobby at 8:30 am. There is very limited seating inside the lobby if you arrive early. The visitors that arrive are courteous and allow you to go in the office in the order you arrived in the lobby, not by how close you get to the door! Visitors are attentive to that, so please, do not try to muscle your way to the admission door at 9:00 am. Respect everyone's time as they respect yours.nThe staff are efficient, attentive, and kind. They quickly handled both mine and my wife's accounts. It has been a friendly experience each visit.

I have called this office 5 times in two days left 3 messages for Jennifer no call back. I have been hung up on 2 times. I have a simple question and for some reason I cannot get thru. A gentleman answered to times and before I can ask my question he transfers me or hang up. When I did briefly speak with another gentleman he pulled up the wrong file then when he saw that he had done that transferred me.................I dont know who is running this office but this is poor customer service...............................

I had to take my wheel chair bound, 84 year old aunt to the SS office in Scranton yesterday. Although the wait was long, I found out why when it was our turn. Walter greeted us with a genuine smile . He was very kind, understanding , professional. He went out of his way help us. I had a follow up question today and randomly ( nothing is random) had the pleasure of working with him again. He actually remembered my Auntu2019s case. I would recommend scheduling an appointment so the wait wonu2019t be as long as ask for Walter!

This particular office has made so many mistakes on my husbands SSD claim this past year that we have had to fill out numerous reports that are incredibly time consuming. If you can avoid this office, I highly recommend you do! Also stay away from Robert in this office he lies right to your face.
