Iu2019ve called 4 times now. Iu2019ve been on hold 15-30 minutes each time until the line either cuts off or goes silent. As the letter states Iu2019m unable to go into the office and need an appointment because of Covid, but I canu2019t get through to anyone to make an appointment. And the person that sent the letter didnu2019t give me an extension to reach her at. 2 hours later and I still have yet to try and talk to someone about my continuing disability review and I donu2019t know what to do. Talk about frustration.

Began the day planning to stop at SS office in Royersford. It is closed down. Did some errands, went to SS office at 239 High St Pottstown and it also has closed down. Website said open and shows both. Got directions to Robinson St in Pottstown, found SS office but door is locked. I can see people inside- I am only person in parking lot. Sign says must make appointment and gives number. After being on hold 5 minutes, someone answers. Told them I wanted to make an appointment and she told me no appointments due to Covid. Explained that I could not get into my SS account and what paperwork I needed to send to finance company. Was told that it could be mailed to me. Deadlines for submission prompted me to ask if she could print it out and just hand it to me. Response u201cI canu2019t do thatu201d. Asked her if I could supply a next day mailer. Response u201cI canu2019t do thatu201d. At which point I was crying so I left and hung up.

I was doing a name change for my son by one letter. I sent original documents and they sent the Original documents back.nI thought okay they sent my original documents because the name change was approved. But I got nothing else in mail so I called them. A nice man answered and sounded helpful and friendly and then told me the lady who was doing my case wasnu2019t available or busy or whatever so he said he would leave a note.nFinally the next day this lady calls me and leaves a voicemail and I call her back and told me I needed more medical records with my sonu2019s name so they can process it. And I was like well why didnu2019t they send a letter telling me that when they sent my original documents. Anyways guess they are too busy to do their jobs properly but people make mistakes ok.nSo then I sent them more medicinal records again with a note u201cattention Normanu201d as they told me In April 2021. Since then I havenu2019t heard since not call or letter and I called July 9 today and this new phone lady answered and is rude not orient at all while Iu2019m trying to ask her what is the update. She tells it was processed in May but I needed more evidence with the doctors signature and Iu2019m like okay thatu2019s my mistake I needed a signature. But they never sent a letter ever. Not even the first time. Not even after May when I sent them more papers.Even in the beginning and when you try to talk to them they are rude. At least the 2/3 people Iu2019ve talked to wore. Sounded so annoyed to to their jobs or you have to chase them to do their jobs. The last lady was really the worst because she was really trying to argue with me and I was asking her nicely if they are taking longer because of COVID or always that busy and so they missed sending me one letter or how long they would take to process it if I do sent them even more medical records. Just awful she didnu2019t have to be rude I always try to be kind with people because you never know what kind of day they are having but the way the last representative was talking to me was unacceptable. I hope they hire people who want to help you like the first guy I talked to and not just want to give you attitude and argue with you or donu2019t do their jobs so you have to chase them for more Information.

I had a telephone appointment to apply for my retirement benefits. I was called on time and the person who interviewed me was wonderfully helpful. He was extremely professional, very prepared for the appointment, and highly knowledgeable about his job.

A visit to replace my ss card was pleasantly surprised. The guard was very friendly and helpful. Have already downloaded and filled out the form before getting there also helped to speed the process. The whole visit took less than 20 minutes and got the replacement card in the mail after a week. Very happy with the experience.

Starts off bad when the entrance isn't clearly marked and it could be 1 of 3 doors.Signs and directions were not clearly visible.Had to go back 3 times just to get a replacement social security card for my son because each employee told us something different about an acceptable form of ID.And then once we finally had everything we needed, which was 3 days later, we weren't even given the card it is apparently mailed to us. Yet another tid bit of information none of the 3 different employees bothered to share with us.Even though we had explained the urgency of getting his number right away.Next time i need anything from a Social security office I'll gladly drive way out of my way to go to a different place. I doubt it could be anywhere as pathetic as this office is.

Only good thing about this place is the security guard. The staff is rude. And they do not know ther job. I have a document certified with county clerk stamp that meets the requirements stated online of being able to audit the paper trail. The refused to accept with out raised seal. Which is not required. Then they tried to read me something saying it was required and it did not say it was required either. Then they still tried to say it was required. I asked for there names so I could report them. One gave me her name I asked if they could write them down. They refused one said I gave you my name that's enough.nThen they told me that they were done with me. The other refused to give me her name. I said I did not have a pen and they pointed out a pen. And when I asked for names again they refused to give them to me. I called the security over and asked him to call police. Then they gave me there names. I have never been made to feel so horrible from pointing out there mistake when they read the requirements. That it did not say that it needs raised seal. Went home looked it up I was right. Plus the court house that gave it to me also said that this was all that is needed. These social security workers need to be educated on their job and manners and basic care and compassion. The are very full of themselves letting power go to there head. The refused to even try to check to see if they were wrong. When they proved themselves wrong they still said they were right. I also called social security when I got home also confirmed I was right. But said that they could not control what local office does.

The call disconnected after waiting about 5 minutes on my first attempt. My second call was answered in less than 5 minutes by a representative who was polite and able to help us immediately.

Got there first thing in morning on a Thursday, and there were a few people already waiting outside.. had to wait about 15 minutes, which wasnu2019t too bad. Helped to have my application printed out already. Because I was just replacing a social security card, all I needed was my state Iu2019d.

I had to go there at least 5 times between Dec and Mar because I could not fix my issues online. Without going into details, I was told the same thing over and over again. I actually had to write a letter to my Senator to try and resolve my issues. The staff there never returned my calls. I had to visit the place to speak to someone. Each time took hours out of my day, with nothing resolved. Not happy to say the least!

Today I walked into the office, and the lady was unhelpful, and I gave 1 star. Later I called them on the phone, and another lady gave me some info to start my application, she deserves 5 star. So the average is now 3 stars.

Any suggestions

Security officer was GREAT! I hate to say it but he was more helpful on my last visit than the lady at the window. But, all things considered, this office does a MUCH better job dealing with people than other offices I've dealt with.

Mr. Tate (teller) and Mr. Nash (security guard) are fine examples of what government employees should be. Their caring, kind, respectful and prompt behavior are exemplary to all who serve us.

Woman who answers the phone is not friendly or helpful. Called twice, weeks apart and got the same attitude both times.

Kind of busy, but if you fill your forms out online, it saves a lot of time. Many disgruntled customers, but I had a pleasant experience.

Just got off the phone with rudest woman. Iu2019m having serious medical issues, the last thing I need is an attitude towards me by those handling my issue
    Jonathan Slater
A much neater and smarter office than some others, and the security guard is just about the nicest guy in the world. In fact I'm only writing this to give him some props.
    Trish Brown
They are slow to many different workers taking your info then they lose your paperwork and it's just alot I could go on and on but hey what can I do about it nothing good luck
    Amanda Pittman
Incredibly rude staff. Would never go here if it can be avoided. Iu2019ll drive all the way out to Harrisburg before I ever deal with these people again.

Very rude and unprofessional staff. The security guard was very helpful but the rest of the staff just terrible.
