This is a clean office with lots of seating. There's a very kind security guard who will open the door for you and ask if you're armed with any weapons. You will be asked to sign in at a kiosk which will print out a number for you. There is a monitor on the wall which shows which numbers are being served and where they're located. You'll have a wait time of about 20 minutes to a half hour and then your number will be called and you'll proceed to the back where the workers' desks are located. There are seats for you in front of glass partitions with slots underneath you can slide your paperwork through. The people there are good people with rotten jobs. They have to give others information which may be displeasing to receive, but that doesn't make them bad people. They can't change what rules and regulations the government YOU voted ( or did NOT vote) into office have set forth. Give them a break and know that they can't change the numbers for you any more than I can. Enjoy your visit!

I truly wish this had the option for 0 or -10 stars. The service was absolutely terrible, i waited on hold for 45 minutes, if you are going to call them don't have plans for the rest of the day the call is going to take up your whole day.nnThe woman who picked up my call was horribly nasty. I guess the employees are working from home since a little child kept interrupting my call where the woman wasn't even answering my questions and not paying attention when her child was asking for a snack to be open. She was so rude. I now things are tough but i work in customer service where i have food thrown on me, i get cussed out if i don't give someone massive portion but i still keep a smile and am nice even to the worse. I was so gentle spoken on the phone and had a 3 simple questions that i just wanted confirmed and clarified about a social security application and it was a horrific experience. I wish i knew the woman's name so she can have the proper customer service training.nnI think it is the dumbest thing is that the offices are still closed to the public, everyone else in is opening back up and facing covid like strong people while the social security office is hiding like a bunch of scared cats. There are so many porcautins they can take to keep everyone safe but at this point in covid they are just being lazy. I wish i had the ability to hide from the world like them. It is truly a shame they are so important for us they are a disgrace.

I wish i could give this office Zero star - i know they donu2019t even care but This is the worst service ever. I have applied for a new SSN card for 4 months now and they still donu2019t know what is going with it - and they just tell me keep waiting meanwhile it only takes 2 weeks to have the card - This is terrible.

I called the office listed under the Monroeville location a women answered the phone and when I told her I was calling to schedule a appointment to come in person and start the process of changing my maiden name to married one, she immediately asked for my social security number. When I told her I was just trying to schedule a appointment and I am not comfortable providing this information over the phone I was immediately told to have a nice day and hung up on! That ignorant person needs a new job! And I canu2019t help but to wonder if there is some form of fraud going on!

The fact that the administration doesnu2019t care about the hardships they put you through just to get answers. Imagine having no income since October and they just say they have no answer. Theyu2019re not even following their own rules in their handbook. The mental anguish this administration places on disabled people.

Very timely and pleasant. I visited this location due to the Mckeesport office being too busy. Officer Brad at the front check-in desk was very professional and courteous to myself and the other visitors. I was in & out in about 45 minutes.

Helpful people, from Brad at the reception desk to Leslie the service representative. I had a very good experience, even though my needs were unique. They earnestly helped me to resolve some difficult issues with my paperwork.

Google states that the building is open. INCORRECT. The building it self is open but not the Social Security administration office. I only went because I needed to drop off paperwork and google states they were open. ud83dude14

Make sure you're willing to wait awhile. Went 4 different times and each time the waiting area was completely full and 2 of those times people were sitting outside on the floor of the office waiting as well.
