Terrible Experience with the McKeesport Office.nCALL ANOTHER ONE or LOOK ON THE WEBSITE!!!nnSince you still can't physically go in to the SSA offices, I called my nearest Office to get further instruction on a SSN Name Changen(what other documents were needed for proof).nShe began to explain the process of downloading the application, I told her I already had it and she very rudely said 'You could have led with that'.nnI profusely apologized but ... it was all downhill from there.nnTo the point that she actually provided INCORRECT information, stating that a driver's license couldn't be used because it was not 'original' and that old ORIGINAL medical or school records would be necessary and that she could send a list of what documents were necessary.nnWhen I questioned why OLD school/medical records would be needed, she again, was rude and stated 'it's the law, I can send you that too.'nnWhen she asked for the mailing address instead of an email, I got worried. Banking can't be done with the wrong name and the name can't be changed at the Bank until the SSN is changed. If this is all done by USPS, it was going to a very, very long time.nnI asked if there was any way to come in and get this done quickly. No.nI asked if I could use FedEx/Overnight. No.nnAfter that horrible experience, I got on the website and found the documents necessary, none of which were as she described.nNONE.nnThe website clearly states that only TWO DOCUMENTS are needed.nDriver's License and the Raised Seal Court Order with BOTH names to verify identity.nTWO documents that CAN be Overnighted to the SSA.nNot old School/Medical records that could take weeks to get.nnWhy did it have to be so hard?nnIf you hate your job, please get a new one instead of your misery making things difficult for other people. I am certain there is someone out there who would be GRATEFUL for your job and do it with JOY.

Rude is an understatement for this office. The staff have no clue on what they are doing. I have been over there 3 times to correct a problem and it's still not fixed. They pass the buck and nothing is done. You can't speak to a manager as that is like asking to speak to God over there. Did I mention how RUDE the staff are? The one lady was * bobbing her head with her 5 inch finger nails and told me to have a blessed day.

I was treated very poorly, however the office manager contacted me and listened to my complaint. I hope she can successfully resolve the rudeness found in some of the staff. The security guard was very pleasant and helpful though.

You work all your life and go to this office for insufficient answers. This is suppose to be their expertise. Poor explanation of what all you can benefit but quick to tell what you CANNOT. You have to call 1213 number and pray you get another office so they can tell you what to make this office do. And the body language!!!!

They are usually very nice and short waiting time. One time lady very nasty made my handicapped mother walk into office and hollered because she had to use the restroom. Made my Mom very upset. Otherwise good service

Tried to get a ssn for my child and the women that waited on me was very rude and argumentative. She was wrong about information and then when called on it, told me that she wouldn't help any further. Go to Monroeville!
