They really should offer zoom or FaceTime. So many elderly people went and were turned away because they didnu2019t have an appointment. Itu2019s bad enough they are alone but directing them to instructions on a small piece of paper on the glass door is really not helpful. These people have paid there dues and deserve better. DO BETTER SSA. It took me 5 calls to get the help I needed. The initial call during Covid I was told to mail in my original documents which is ridiculous. The last call I spoke to a Ms. Ortiz, she was rude, kept cutting me off and speaking to me as if I were a dumb. I finally get an appointment get there and security guard is not only rude to everyone he was miserable. I mean considering he had a Bible on his desk I was expecting some sympathy, but he was on his phone scrolling through who knows what. He was so grouchy and showed no empathy. It was only two of us in the building but all those who either were dropping off mail or had a question, Mr. Grouch was not hearing it. His reasoning I donu2019t work for SSA, Iu2019m security. Yes but you hold the access to the door and you have the clipboard and sit at the front desk. I donu2019t understand how we work so many years pay so many taxes and canu2019t even get some respect or help from a government office. Itu2019s ridiculous. Customer service is the worst. I would not give any stars.

Need an Appt which I can't make as their phone rings busy then disconnects you every time. Other option is to mail application in but not sending all my ORIGINAL documents to them as sure I won't get them back.

I was able to get through and the woman was incredibly helpful. If you can get through just keep trying and various times of the day. I know what I need to do now.

I recently registered for social security and had medicare changes. I had an appointment with Jose Diaz, and he was patient, knowledgeable, funny and compassionate. I appreciated his advice and his professional manner of providing the alternative options. My experience was excellent.

I had an excellent experience with lady office manager and Mr. Harris, who was handling my case. Both issues of incorrectly reporting my W2 income were resolved quickly and Mr. Harris acted quickly. Thanks a lot for exceptional service.

It would be very beneficial to consumers if a call back number or email option were offered instead of a curt u201cplease call back later.u201d Please make serious improvements to your service as I have waited months after applying to get my retirement benefits initiated. THANK YOU.

February 9/2021- My experience with Mr. Harris was very helpful. After googling forever as to when to apply for my ss benefits I decided to take a chance and call. Thinking I would be on hold forever! I Was not! Mr. Harris picked up the phone and helped answer all my questions. He was patient and kind. What a great asset to your company he is!!!

I called in today at 11.12am to the social security administration office to schedule an in appointment for a change of SS card. The officer, who did not disclose his identity, refused to entertain the request saying that they are not allowed to take in person visits and we need to mail the documents. I requested that I do not want to mail documents because the Social Security Administration helpline advised me NOT TO MAIL the original documents and I also don't feel secure to mail the documents as the original documents may get lost. He kept insisting that I have to mail the documents. I was trying to explain my situation. I told him that your recording on the phone says that you are taking in person visits. He simply refused to listen and hung up the phone. He was totally discourteous and RUDE.nI understand that we are going through a difficult time during Covid-19, but the Covid is not only in the social security administration office. We have to carry on with life. And most importantly, the officers need to listen and address our concerns. I was never disrespectful to him and was not asking any illegitimate favors.nI hope someone in the office at Fairless Hill see this!!!!!!

Quick service considering it's a federal facility. If you get here early though you can be in and out in 30 minutes.

Never go the first week of the month or on a Monday. I usually go around 11am-1pm on a Tuesday or Thursday and the wait times are tolerable. They don't give you many options when signing in and like the DMV you get a number. Even if just dropping something off. If you get the time and day right they are extremely helpful. They'll sit with you and review your status, answer questions, provide advice and even gave me a stack of stamped envelopes as a money saver. I am quick to leave if it's crowded and go back later. You'll be on hold longer than waiting to talk to someone in person. Each and every time I have gone there my issues were resolved quickly and with accuracy. I am very grateful that it's so local. No one wants to go there so keep in mind they serve 50 million citizens. Avoid going on 'check day' (either the 1st or 3rd of each month) and you'll get great service better than online or over the phone. You will wait a bit but plan ahead and aim for a less busy time. If you're worried about your paperwork go sit down and discuss it. They're very kind unlike the DMV.

I recently had to inquire about widow's benefits. The women was wonderful and answered all questions. It was a difficult call to make and she made it as pleasant as possible. We even had a good laugh.

My wife and/or I have visited this office 3 times over the last couple of years. We have found each employee we've dealt with to be polite, informative, and friendly. In addition, as we've waited, we've watched the rare somewhat annoying client also treated with respect.nnYou do have to wait, but we've never waited more than 30 minutes (Hint: Pick a really heavy rainstorm as your visiting time...you'll be served right away).

I went several times to this Social Security Office and I was treated with hate, poorly, and humiliated to shedding tears. I ask to file a complaint against them but they refuse to give me the forms. People beware please save all paperwork that this office sends to you because they contradict themselves, unwanted to correct their errors they made and falsely accusing you of it.

The woman who works at window 4 is very very rude !! No idea how she keeps her job!! Accuses people of things that she has no clue upon what sheu2019s speaking of! Very very unprofessional loud obnoxious! I believe her name was kadeesha. Has literally hung up on me several times upon calling . I will be definitely contacting a higher manager to handle the situation . Never ever have I ever felt so mistreated from a government employee ever. You would think that especially being a social security office and they dealing with so many people especially ones whom suffer from mental illnesses they would be a bit more patient and kind and understanding or compassionate. Not this woman . And I will make sure I address this as this woman was absolutely trying to humiliate me . I pray that this woman will never ever have to be put in a situation that she did to me and my family .

My parents and I went there for several problems. Ms. Ortiz took her time and explained everything in details for my parents to understand completely about their inquiries. My parents really appreciated her time, patience, and efforts.

I visited at Monday morning 9 am, was 15 people inside - not much, I was waiting 10 min in line to my turn. Then conversation with Officer during 7 min. Polite office workers.

i went with my dad last weekend to file medicare. but, my experience was extremely bad at this office. the ssi employee was around 50 years old white guy. the way he talk to me and my dad was very rude. if this is not the government agency , nobody have kept this guy for work.

First you have to sit around for about an hour or more unless you have an appointment. Of course to get an appointment you have to hang on hold on the phone for over an hour. If your just looking to sign up you can do that online but of course you can't tell them to take out taxes online so you have to go in anyway so what is the point of having website signup. Typical government incompetence.

Called for an issue and the gentleman who answered was able to help me track down what I was looking for and get it within the same day I called

Went there and was there for an hour before closing time waiting around, they will close even if you are there before closing and not help those that have been waiting. If I'm already in the building they need to finish their job and help those waiting. Poor customer service on their part. Very bad management. At my job we take people waiting even after closing.

Very good and kind service gotten today! Quick and without any problems like usually! Thanks!

The map showing the social security office is too small... and there is no way to enlarge it to show more area. If you do not know Lincoln Highway, you can't tell from the map where the office is.

I thought they were very nice, patient, friendly and professional .
