I just finished an phone appointment with William from the Butler Social Security Office. He was a complete joy to work with and answered every question I had. He was very professional from start to finish, had all the information I needed and had my issues solved in just a matter of minutes. Thank you William for your assistance and guidance throughout this process.

Leaving this review because of wonderful service I received over the phone. Receipt from changing my name said I should have received documents back with it, but my marriage license was not included. (Here it is sent at the same time but seperately.) AJ reassured me that it should come in the mail in the next few days, told me exactly what the envelope would look like, and promised to double check everywhere to make sure it sent out. He even provided his extension number so I could call him directly and not wait on hold just in case it didn't arrive.nnReally appreciate receiving such awesome service, especially with how swamped Social Security has been during the pandemic.

Told for months to wait a few weeks and call back. No one is even answering the phone now. Social security had no issues TAKING money from my paycheck all the years I worked, but it has now been 5 months and I can't get them to give me $1,000 I was already awarded. Again today, no answer - tried before lunch and after lunch.

If it was possible to do negative stars I would. I have be trying for 2 weeks to call this office. Multiple times a day. Nothing no answers just keeps hanging up on me. I stopped by knocked I was told I could not drop off my documents. Only mail or make an appointment. Hard to make an appointment when no one answers. And I do not want to mail my documents. Call the kittanning office. They answer the phones and have a drop box.

Absolute worst as it relates to customer service. Can't get a live person on the phone EVER...once you get into the queue it will simply hang up after a while. So frustrating as a taxpayer to know that this type of inefficiency exists. Ron Swanson, anyone?

I had difficulty initially with contact to the office. When I did receive a return call the gentleman was awesome, answered all questions and was very helpful :)

Positive experience, despite the waiting time on the phone of 1 hour and 30 minutes, after attending 3 virtual assistants, a human attendant answered the call. The face-to-face service lasted 3 minutes, it was very fast and informative. Observation. You cannot enter this address with a cell phone, leave it in the car.

Don't believe these SS officers are opened. The doors are locked with a sign with numbers to call to make an appointment. The problem is, you call the one number and you wait about 10 minutes on hold, then someone answers the phone and hangs up on you. This happened twice. I called the second number, waited on line for 35 minutes, and the lady who answered was rude and didn't help at all. They wouldn't even consider letting me have an appointment. I wasted an hour drive and 1.5 hours on the phone and got no further than when I started my day. Government run entities are so frustrating.

I got hung up on twice trying to get to the bottom of my son's case. Not only did they not answer me for month's but they don't treat you like a human being and do surprise phone appointments without your knowledge.

My two visits here were both very pleasant. Both times, we were served with respect and our paperwork was handled very efficiently. Some days, it gets busy and there are long waits like any government service.

My family applied 3 kids and people cared all of kids kindly and generously.nWe received ssn cards sooner than other office where my wife changed card the day before kids application.
Treated like second class citizen. Security guard was very ignorant and degrading, as he was stuffing his face with chips, I would be ashamenIf I acted like that at my place of employment. The girl who actually helped us was very nice, knew her job. Answered question

Despite arriving at the busiest time of day, I was taken care of in a timely manner and didn't find the wait unbearable. It was also very impressive that the employees weren't miserable and seemed very helpful and friendly.
