3 months and 6 mail ins of trying to get paperwork approved for SSC replacement and no response. They kept denying paperwork that was u201capproved forms of identificationu201d yet would not scan them into the system and then would deny our paperwork.

The office is closed, no one here to help and its by appointment only but you get ahold of anyone to make an appointment.

For future reference to anyone who has gotten married, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT send in your marriage certificate to get your new social security card unless you buy 2 copies just for back up. Make a appointment if possible OR wait till they open to the public so you can go in person. I sent mine in and never received it back. I spent three weeks trying to get ahold of the social security office and sat on the phone for hours at a time just to be booted off. Once I did get ahold of them they told me there was nothing they can do to help me. I am extremely ticked off considering my personal info is on there and it's going to cost me another 60$ to replace the marriage certificate.

Best interactions with government Iu2019ve had, ever, and on several occasions. My wife has had the same experience. Sheu2019s made a point of telling me, a few times now, about how unusually helpful personnel of this office (Bend) have been, going the extra mile to help her straighten out old paperwork glitches.

Been trying to get a replacement Social Security Card for months, but I can't find out about the status on replacing my Social Security Card and returning my driver's license and birth certificate because they keep picking up the line then just hanging up.nnEdit: Finally got through, they say they never received my birth certificate and driver's license, the last time they processed one for me was over 7 years ago.

So, if you have a loved one that passes away and your on their bank account? Do not give the SS office a cashier's check for any over payments. Let SS take it out of the account on their time. SS local office told us to give them a check for the overpayment, we did, they cashed it and then went into the account and took it again. Now the account is overdrafted and we have to fix it. Such BS

The address listed on the official Social Security website for the local office is incorrect; the office moved some months ago. No days/hours are listed and you cannot call to speak with anyone in the local office. This is sooooo amazingly poorly presented in regard to giving decent service to those who have paid into thebenefitall their working lives. Sigh...nnThat said, the actual people working at the local office have been courteous and helpful to us so far, to the extent that they were able, working within a difficult, convoluted system of governmentservice.Kudos to them for keeping up a serviceable attitude and managing to help with the various issues needing attending to.
