Went through a divorce wanting to change my name back. I sat on hold over 45 min. To be told no one can process it in real life i have to send them originals ( no copies) drivers licence, pass port, or medical statement and decree. Then drive over an hour to put these documents in a drop box. No help and not any safty procedure in place for my identifications. They are rude on the phone and offer no help. We the people deserve better than to be treated like this from any gov. Agency

They couldn't be less helpful! In trying to avoid sending in my drivers license they REFUSED to be any sort of helpful in trying to help me determine what other document I could use. Then when I asked for the persons name I was told it was claims specialist. Like your entire job is social security and if you can't help with social security find another job. RUDE for the sake of being RUDE

I see lot of SS office employees' cars parked out side Oklahoma SS office. None of them helped or guided us. They were very rude. Some did not even spoke to us as if they did not hear anything. Online call is a nightmare. I kept calling for more than a week almost everyday but no one answers. I wonder if there are any job appraisals for these officers! Rating 0/5

Extended wait times. I have called on several occasions and have been on hold for 30 minutes at that point i hang up. There in ability to handle the customer service load is ridiculous. I understand there concern with the pandemic but they are taking it a paranoid level that is unnecessary, not being to set appointment times to get your application properly filled out and only seeing those they deem emergency appointments is absurd.

if it would allow me to, i would not even be giving 1 star. 0/5. terrible, absolute dumpster fire. i cant believe this is what our tax money is going to. there is something terribly wrong with oklahomas social security office. cant go in person as its by appointment only, cant call or go online to schedule an appointment because the phone lines no longer work. i have tried calling for 3 months and left a phone on hold waiting for someone for 7 hours once. then when you try to go online, turns out we are the only state in the entire country that doesnt participate in the governments easy online social security card application system online. so that leaves only one option - by mail to get a replacement ss card. one huge problem - i sent them a scanned front and back copy of my drivers licence and my official original birth certificate, that apparently was not good enough for them. they want you to actually ship your drivers licence. in the state of oklahoma you are not allowed to have more than one drivers licence so can someone tell me how in the heck you are supposed to get a replacement social security card if i have to send in my drivers licence when i need that to drive. i went in person and tried to get in touch with someone to schedule an appointment, i heard guards behind the door chatting and laughing when i knocked, and they never came to the front. i drove around back and there was atleast 20-30 cars in employee parking. there is no reason for this. they are using corona virus as an excuse and now are only doing everything by mail only.

We have been trying to get a SS card for our newborn since September. The national representative told me that in leiu of having a birth certificate (another hot mess agency), I should send paperwork from a doctors visit as proof of ID. This was denied. I then very reluctantly sent our hospital record of birth with my babyu2019s footprints. I was told I had to send the original. Not only was this also refused (when the national agent told me it would be acceptable) but the okc agency never returned it to me. When we finally spoke to an agent after two weeks of trying to call, we were told they had lost this document. I am absolutely heart broken not to mention at my wits end. We have now lost the only proof of her existence we have and a precious sentimental document. DO NOT send any important originals to this agency. You will not get them back.

After calling and calling for several days they finally responded.nDo you want a tip guys?nI use my two devices and call them. If you have 2 or 3 phones make three calls. They will answer at least one of them. That happened to me. That's ridiculous they responded my 2nd call instead of the first one.nThese are the laziest federal employees I have ever seen.

I just want to know why is everything in Oklahoma unnecessarily complicated. You canu2019t go in the office without an appointment. You have to call to make an appointment but they hang up on you. You can mail in your physical license to them directly but you need it to drive on these unnecessarily heavily police monitored roads. I just want to get job thatu2019s it. You canu2019t without a social security card but whatever. Now I see why nobody speaks highly of Oklahoma

They been tripping the last few months, sending me other people's information, saying they haven't heard from me and until recently I had no way of getting ahold of anyone on the phone and we all know thier online services are literally non-existent. I was sooo happy to find out that the office is now open and I can go be in their face as much as they're in mine to get things straightened out. I had to go 3 times this month so far each time I expected to be there all day like before. To my surprise they had tidied up the in-office process a bit and I was out in less than an hour. Wait times were not long and there were lots of workers behind little numbered cubicles ready to help. Absolutely no privacy though, which is really on par with government services. So far so good for me. I wish you all the speedy experiences I had.

Oklahoma does not allow for replacement Social Security cards online.nnCalling to make an appointment is not possible. The message will say they are busy and hang up on you.nnOption to get a replacementnnPut a your original documents that you need such as your driver's license in a drop box.nYou will get it back in 2 to 3 weeks. Maybe...

I've been trying to get a replacement card for my 4month old and I'm not having any luck. No one answers the phone and you can't go inside. This is the dumbest thing ever. They give you no direction when you actual speak to someone. The guy told me that I could download the okmobileid app, but never explained how to upload it. I can't find a QR code for the ssa, so I don't fricken know what I'm supposed to do.

I do not like what Social Security is doing you cannot get into them when you call. When you finally are able to talk to someone and they literally answer the phone they sit on the phone and donu2019t say a word so you can hang up so they donu2019t have to help you I donu2019t know if this is something that the Social Security office wants them to do but this is very inappropriate people are not being hill people are frustrated with the Social Security Department because they canu2019t get through to handle pacific business I need to handle business I need to change where my money goes and I need to ask some questions I canu2019t even do that they are poor in providing services for the community to Social Security Department is just lousy

Very unprofessional after being rudely told my daughter was not in the system and that i needed To send my physical ID and her birth certificate in by an employee . They sent everything back in 2 days stating that they can not help with getting her a social with the documents i provided yet i was Told to send the documents i provided . They never answer the phone EVER!!! This needs to be looked into. Why is everyone else back at work but gov employees ? .

Your calls to find out what is needed so you can provide the necessary documents will be ignored by the caseworker assigned to your case in order to run out the deadline to give an excuse to deny your application for non-response.nnCaseworker (@ Mr. Trevor Helm) does not return calls. It doesn't matter if the message was left on his voicemail or with a live person. The people who answer the phone lie about getting your message to the person.

I canu2019t find appropriate wording to describe the ineptitude of the OKC Social Security office. They are impossible to reach by phone. If you get lucky enough to get your call answered, they are rude and not helpful.. It has been so stressful and I still donu2019t have a name change. Canu2019t use Medicare for treatment because my name is incorrect. The is a nightmare.

Ive sent paperwork in 13 Aug 2020 and still havent received a response. I have called numerous times in 18 months. Four times spoke with someone who said I would get a callback. The other times i call to try and set up an appointment. The automated answer 20 minutes on hold and then continues to ring until I hang up. Even today 9 March 2022 its the same thing.

They sent My Personal documents to another woman! I recently filed for a name change due to a marriage. Every week I called asking if they received and they would just say it maybe sitting on someone desk that they work from home to call back in another week. A month later I was given Mr. Bounds number which is a supervisor and I left a voicemail which he never returned my call! Only to receive a Facebook message from another woman who said she recently filed for a name change as well and in her paperwork they sent her was ALL of my personal documents including birth certificate, marriage license, doctors note. She did not receive my application so obviously social security received that. I had to meet up with her to get back my documents! Who knows whou2019s hands my information could have fallen into and what could have happened! I have again left a voicemail on Mr bounds messages expecting answers and so far have not heard back and can not get a human on the phone otherwise.*edit to add.* 3 weeks later several voicemails and an email sent to Mr Bounds by an employee he has still not returned my phone calls and I have yet to receive an apology nor an explanation from anyone.

This place is unacceptable everybody else has gone back to work these people just because they're federal employees are milking this pandemic!!! Soldiers are fighting for this country, our local government is in office. The Social security administration is vital for social security benefits for retired and disabled residents. Not only this but other services we need like applying for cards for newborns. This office is just not right if they don't want to go back to work then quit and let someone else get the job done.

You want small government, you got small government. Add the current COVID pandemic, that is not going away anytime soon, and you get our current situation. You cannot expect one person to return hundreds of phone calls daily and be productive at the same time. Still want small government?

I've been trying to get my name changed since September 2021. I cannot get a human being on the phone, they are not taking appointments or walk-ins... I cannot legally change my name any other way, according to their website. They are making it virtually impossible to change my name. I have emailed customer service with no updated response. Absolutely ridiculous.

Mr. Quiniones was nice and helpful and really cared about us. Other than that it has been a TERRIBLE experience to try to get a first-time social security card. I can't even begin to list all the things that went wrong and all the people that were unhelpful. It makes me stressed when I think about it. But thanks again to Mr. Quiniones.

This is completely unacceptable! Because of COVID everything is over the phone , I put my sons shot records and my id in the drop box around the 23 of December it is now the 4 of January , i now received my sons replacement SS but still have not received my id or shot records back , this is completely not secure and need my documentation back ASAP for personal reasons , now my sons shot records are misplaced as well as my state Iu2019d and I call every single day and every single day they never answer and I eventually have to get off the phone because I actually do have a life, Iu2019m not sure if these people are aware of that.. I cannot be otp for hours waiting on someone that Iu2019m sure can definitely pick up the phone after hours of waiting but choose not too . So here I am still trying to call getting no answer and loosing time and money as well. I REALLY CANNOT BELIEVE IM GOING THROUGH THIS.

Iu2019ve tried calling for an important document I needed yesterdayu2026 and am on hold for hours with no one picking up. I have yet to speak with anyone. The government seriously needs to do something about this.

Arrogant and uncaring does not begin to describe the people that work in this office.nn1. Telephone hold times are unacceptably long.nn2. When someone does answer the phone their tone of voice and demeanor makes it clear they are doing you a favor to talk to you.nn3. On 10-18-21 I called to inquire about my claim for survivors and death benefits. My wife passed away in June 2021. I obtained the documents required for the claim and submitted them on 8-2-21. I was haughtily informed that my late wife and my claim were alow priorityand I was still receiving my benefit as if the money I was required to pay into the system was not mine but belonged to the government.nn4. COVID is merely an excuse to limit access to the Oklahoma City Social Security office rather than an actual threat.nnIn short the people working in this office would be miserable failures in the private sector.nnI gave them one star in order to be able to complete this evaluation. They do not even rate that.

Literally someone is sitting otp not saying anything after having me on hold for an hour to talk to someone. This is ridiculous because I Literally only have one question. They don't even have to do any work to answer my question. Its January 14th 2022 12:46pmnEdit: it is now January 14th 2022 4pm. They had me on hold until they closed then hung up.
    Richard Price
Now have been on hold for 2+ hours no response at all just getting an annoying beep. All this frustration just to get a replacement card
    Candace
Absolutely ridiculous. Their offices are closed and are offering phone service or appointment only service. You can not make an appointment online and they refuse to answer the phone.
    Dan Baumann
Locked door, cranky armed guard with hand on his weapon, 3 hours on 3 phone calls only to be told in person appointments are only for non citizens right now and I can put my passport, birth certificate and form for what I need in a dropbox at the office and everything will be mailed back in 2-3weeks
    Lori Soto
Been waiting on hold for over an hour! First 3 times I tried calling they either hung up on me or disconnected my calls. Seriously frustrating I need to get my SS card for work!
    Dylan .Thomas
This okc office is unprofessional amd impossible. . Once you hold 5 hours then explain why you are calling they say may I place you on hold then hang up. Itu2019s intentional. Itu2019s happened way too many times for it to not be. The Shawnee office is actually professional and you can actually talk to some one there but you have to live there to use their office staff. This is the saddest thing that the OKC office is run so poorly that people can not get their benefits and end up homeless because of it.
