1st of all they need to open their doors!! There is no more mandate!! There are too many people who need to get in there for many different reasons. I had 2 documents that I needed to have copied copied so they could have the copies. But no I had to put them in a Manila envelope and put them in a Dropbox.. I put all my information on the front of that envelope.. My marriage license was in there. It had never been folded and it had been in a picture frame for 28 years. Instead of calling me or sending it back in another big envelope they folded it in 2/3 to put in a regular size envelope and now it's creased!! That was a big deal to me. Maybe not to some one there.. I'm very upset with them. And the other document that I took in they didn't even send back. Why didn't they put it in the envelope with my marriage license? I'm supposed to get back the original. I was outside somebody would have just gone ahead and taken my envelope and copied those and handed them back out to me I would have been very appreciative, but the guard wouldn't even try to talk. I didn't drive all the way over there so I can throw it into a Dropbox. Open your doors. People need to get in there and talk face-to-face. I even sat out in that parking lot for almost an hour calling their office. Nobody answered. I waited And waited and still nobody answered, during their regular hours! All I was going to do was ask them if they can get my documents and copy them and hand them back out the door to me. I even saw the guard or security person let a woman in the front door. Maybe a worker? It would be nice if they had voicemail.. Then I could have left them a voicemail mail. But no it would just say thank you for calling the social security office and then click I got hung up on.

I applied for Medicare on line and need to show the original documents to staff at this SS office since the documents are original and they are difficult to obtain /replace according to the guidelines on online application process. I tried to call to make an appointment so many times since I can not see anybody at this SS Office without appointment. I called many times, many days, ending with calls were dropped and could not get through, so I physically went to this SS office building three times within a week and found out the office has been always closed even the sign indicated u201cwill be back at 9 am,u201d it was wasting my time and I am still with no appointment. There is a drop box in front of the office, however I donu2019t want to leave my documents there.nI donu2019t know what I should do. Please advice.

Ok people COVID is out of style! Please just open your doors. No I donu2019t want to mail in my original marriage license, drivers license or anything else. Like seriously. Also you could at least answer the phone. Ohio needs a better social security office somewhere. Why on earth in piqua of all places?? You need to change your u201cOpenu201d message on google maps too. Stop lying

Sent in all documents twice. Second time asked for them to call me if there were any issues. Never received a call or new card. This was 9 and 5 months ago. Tried calling 5 times with no answer. This place is pathetic. Just save yourself the time and send it to an office that actually does their job.

This place is a joke . I just got married & came to the office to get my name changed . well i seen you needed an appointment on the door , so i called to make an appointment. they told me i didnu2019t need one unless die or need. So they was going to have someone unlock the door for me. i waited for 45 minutes, with 2 kids in the car. and i go stand at the door because iu2019m tired of waiting and the security guard was VERY rude. claimed nobody was at the office when the lady on the phone told me their was. He also told me he couldnu2019t hand me a paper, when the lady said they could as well. basically told me he didnu2019t know what to tell me. Waisted so much time. I then called Dayton Social security & they took care of it for me & offered to mail me the paper to fill out.

The office is closed and their automated phone line doesn't even tell you that it's closed. You have to print things off online to apply for a new social security card, sure fine but you have to have the originals of your marriage license and birth certificate or certified copies. So they are closed then you have to pay to get certified copies to mail them?! It's a joke.

I would give them 0 stars if it let me. Tax dollars hard at work..

I will be 65 in June and started the process for medicare benefits a short time ago. I was able to complete the entire process over the phone and internet and all was done within 3 weeks. I was very impressed with the professionalism and helpfulness of those I spoke with at the Piqua office. Thanks to them I am all set for June. Thank You so much! Your office is most efficient.

My wife and I recently got married. She is trying to get her name changed on her social security card and the Social Security office is closed due to Covid-19. They are requesting that she mails the original marriage license as well as her original driver's license to have this done. This is the only option. They will not take a fax or even a notarized copy. They will not replace it if it's lost. This is ridiculous.

The lady that my wife and I spoke to was EXTREMELY helpful. She patiently answered all of our questions and pointed out a couple of things that we didn't even think about.

Second time trying to go, lobby is always full on arrival with one teller window open, occasionally a second. My only window to get what I need is before I go into work and with the 1.5 hour+ wait I don't think it's gonna happen. Maybe if you schedule an appointment it'd be better, but even then two windows open doesn't help that go any quicker either. This office is a joke. The bmv is a heaven compared to this office.

Open the offices already!! Everything else is open but not social security! I have been calling the Piqua office almost daily for a month to get an appointment & no one ever answers the phone!!! Absolutely ridiculous!! It should not be this difficult to get an appointment!!!

Knowledgeable staff, but plan on staying awhile. I've made several trips here over the last month and each time it's taken OVER 2 hours per visit. You sign in, get your # and wait over an hour. Then, if it's more than just something you can do yourself online, you have to wait another hour to have your name called to be seen down the hall. Bring a book and plan on getting comfortable!

Closed. Can't get an updated ss card, change my last name as I am not divorced. This is terrible! Open up and serve the people.

They have not paid my daughter's benefits from her father. She has been waiting since July and every time you call it's always the same thing they are working on it. If you owed them money they would do everything they could to get it back. Very sad and disappointing smh!

I went to this location and the ugly blond hair woman in the window called my number (A64) I asked her a simple question and she's was completely rude and disrespectful not only me but towards the lady before me. Didnt understand the point she had to act this way maybe thinking she was better than everyone else??? I do not RECOMMEND this place to anyone based on immaturity and how violent she became with people I'm sure she'll mess with the wrong person one day and hopefully that person will teach her a lesson I'm sure it could happen if you look like a dog she sure can be trained like one my unpleasant incident happened March 22 between the hours of noon and 1PM in hopes the time will narrow it down to this person and hopefully get her fired:)

1/30/19 It's truly sad when the USPS can have carriers delivering mail all day long in this cold weather and this office can't have employees get into their warm cars and drive to a warm office to take care of people who have driven here to be helped. BTW-- WEBSITE SAID YOU WEEE OPEN.n1/31/19 Closed until 10 today. WEBSITE STATES YOUR OPEN

They need to have better train people and have better insight on how things are done as well as test on people who get Social Security and they need to look into people and investigate them from time to time I think there are too many people who are take advantage of the local Social Security building and the wrong people get supplemental income and it seems like they are willing to let the people to take advantage of them getaway and treat it like it is free money is a shame there's someone looking into things when there are so many things going wrong and the social security system it's almost like no one cares at all I hope someday people turn around and reinvestigate the cases and find out if people are telling the truth or not when they are say they are incompetent or not I hope president-elect Trump looks into these things and stop them and fix them I think a lot of these people need retested and have someone there to make sure they are being honest and truthful and question if some things don't look right more red flags need to be thrown up more often I hope in the new Administration all the cases get re-evaluated and more people get caught 4 lying and cheating social Security and on their test I hope they get tougher and start taking things away from people who lie and cheat to the United States Social Security

They took a very long time to serve everyone. Only opened a second window periodically to move faster. Very disappointing for our tax dollars at work.
