Called to get assistance in getting my SSI check, I gave a letter from my new bank so my check could be direct deposited and they sent my check to the old bank account that I told them was closed. Now I have to wait and have late bills due to this. They say it was sent to the old account and I would have to wait for it to be sent back to the treasury department and then sent to my new bank for direct deposit. I asked what I was to do about my bills that would be over due and was told that there was nothing they could do. So now I will have bills due and NO money to pay them so I will end up paying late fees. Thatu2019s DIRTY sending your check to a closed account when I went to the Social Security Office and reported it so it would be changed. I was told my check would only be 2 days late and it is already 5 days late. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE GALLIPOLIS SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE.
