These people can't even send you the correct information, tell us we have an appointment on a certain date, so take off work to go there. When we show up they tell us it's a phone appointment and they will call you at that time which they didn't. Typical government agency

What is point of this place existing as a physical location? What exactly are our tax dollars paying for? I went there to change my name on my social security card after getting married, showed up to see an empty office right at 9am when they open, and was told by a security guard to call a number on the door to schedule an appointment. When I tried to explain what I needed she just shut the door. What kind of government office is allowed to straight up refuse in person service. They are 100% using COVID as an excuse to not provide any in person services.

Have spoken with the Canton Oh office three times and visited there once. Every time I have received excellent service and answers from them that were not provided by talking with those on the national phone option, not that those folks weren't very patient and polite. They were, but couldn't help with my issues.

I called and after waiting about 10 minutes got through. This call was much more helpful than the first one I made a couple weeks ago. The agent was friendly and patient and actually explained the process to me, and gave me some hard dates. I guess it all depends on who takes your call.

It took me about 6 different tries to get ahold of someone at this office. After 15 minutes of holding they hang up on you as well! so frustrating! finally got someone to pick up and they were very helpful and polite.

Called to ask about my name change and had the most helpful pleasant conversation. I received excellent customer service and ended the conversation with a smile.

Would do 0 stars if I could. Made two different virtual appointments and neither one was entered in their system. Complete and utter bull. Do your social security stuff online. Waste of time talking to these people.

Just A Hot Mess! When you call them they tell you what you need to submit to them to prove identity. We directly told them what was being sent to them and they said it was more than enough. Then they return the files in the mail a week later, say its not what they need, and lose documentation you send. Still no success and they make you re fill out the forms every time.

Changed my name and had to get a new social security card sent in documented 9/7/2020 including a copy of court order and current drivers license as required on forums. I have no copies of my court order left and the office has lost my submitted forum.nnThey need to open up the doors or open up more employees because losing these kinds of documents are how you get identity theft.

The doors are locked so u have to wait for a security guard to help you.

Justin Ledgerfield took the time to thoroughly investigate the issue I had, fix some errors in the system and resolve the problem over the phone. He saved me lots of time and stress. Thank you!

I was told other social security offices that answer the phones that the natter I need taked care of is an Emergency and they never heard an office give you an appointment date 2 months later and send a letter to my home so the abusive person intercepts it and takes car keys so i cant go! This office is a joke and starting tomorrow I'm sitting there everyday till my life threatening case id taken care of!!! OMG

I have visited the Canton, Ohio, Social Security office on several occasions in the past 3 years and each time I have found this office very efficient, considerate and helpful. Considering the volume of people that they deal with daily, I have always been in and out of the office in a very reasonable time with my questions answered to my satisfaction. Thank you and keep up the good work!

I have spoken to many agents here and they are very rude when calling over the phone. This is quite possibly the worst customer care in government service. When visiting in person they are slow, unmotivated, unprofessional and condescending.
    Jane Rogers
Many times I have gone into the office to take care of my business, and I'm in and out in just minutes, but when it's really busy, I could spend a couple hours.
