They've consistently made mistakes with my son's SSI disability case, and nobody will ever fix it. Every year we run into problems. Pre-pandemic I would go to the office several times a month to try to get any mistakes fixed, but now - attempting to do this by phone - is totally impossible. They gave me information that isn't even accurate or true, if you look at the SSI handbook.

This is the worst SS office I've ever encountered. Their phone number is never accessible. I waited online for long but ended up with being hung up multiple times. I called back 4-5 times, and every time was hung up. I assume this is what they do when they don't want to work. They make careless mistakes and block the access to correct it. As a taxpayer I feel being abused. Suggestion: even though it is recommended to go to the SS office that is in charge of the county you live in, other SS offices still can accept your application. So don't go to the one in Akron if you want to get things done.

Impossible to get anappointmentas they hang up on you after 30 minutes of being on hold. Accountability doesn't exist in this office.

Waited on hold very long time multiple times only to get hung up on. You can't goto the office to talk to someone with out anappointmentwhich you will never get one. Very upsetting. Especially when trying to notify of a death and it's already heartbreaking to deal with and then have to keep calling over and over about it.

Terrible customer service, request to speak to a supervisor was completely brushed off and never received a response . Hold times are outrageous and staff are ignorant of urgent and important concerns . Need to hire better staff and supervisors who are able to assist customers effectively .

Even though I need to call them again tomorrow after checking some documents back home, I feel relieved that I know what to do now. Tried to get my name changed and they still never sent me the cards 9 months later. They got confused and didn't communicate to each other and didn't give clear directions for the name changing process. Sent in my application and proof of marriage.

I sent in my documents to have my name changed and they lost my birth certificate. I called the office twice and the lady was very rude and told me there is nothing she can do.

I had a name change and had to mail my documents due to COVID. I received a letter back saying it was processed and my documents should be including with this letter. Surprising enough my documents werenu2019t included and when I called to figure out where they were the people in the office were extremely rude and said they have no idea where my documents are and I was hung up on twice just for asking for more information about my documents they lost. Terrible service need to fire the whole staff and start over.

My wife and I went into the office today to sign up for social security benefits. We had no appointment, but were in and out in less than an hour. Our representative was Maria and she was so helpful and efficient.

Long hold times and more often then not they just hang up on you. Typical of any government run facilities. Don't expect a fast turn around time.
