I had been trying to get through to the Minot office since 9:00 a.m. this morning and it is now 2:30 p.m. . I decided to call the Bismarck office and they answered the phone immediately. I explained to the person what problems I was having and not getting anything resolved for the past 5 months he took a look and everything was there and again he emailed the Minot case worker that's been handling my case so we'll see if she gets a call back to me which has been promised at seven times that I have called there and left messages and people have emailed her in regards to this. It's too bad that our tax dollars for these employees aren't justified.nHATS OFF TO BISMARCK OFFICE EMPLOYEES WHO ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL.

It deserves 0 stars. I have been trying to contact someone for several weeks to no avail. Meanwhile I call a different social security office and I am able to connect with an associate right away.

I am experiencing a good service here. I dont really know why they got so bad rating. I went there to get a social security card. It's simple and relatively quick, u just go inside the building, register via the automated machine, and wait for your turn(my waiting time is about 15mins) and then the officer will serve u. The one that serve me really helpful and polite.

My daughteru2019s father recently passed away, I called about survivors benefits. The first girl I spoke with, Kara, was VERY kind and empathetic to the nature of my call. She was informative, patient and thorough. I had the application appointment over the phone with another person, Allison, a week later. She was VERY rude and short with me. I felt I couldnu2019t ask any questions. Not impressed at all. After more than 30 days (as promised in writing) and no correspondence, I called for an update. This time I spoke with Donell, she seemed very frustrated and busy, but overall tried helping and being polite- at first. She couldnu2019t give me an answer to any of my questions and was very rude with her tone when I asked when I should call back or if she could give me ANY sort of timeframe for correspondence. She was absolutely NO help and quite unprofessional.nI would think when talking to people who have just lost a loved one, these employees could be a little more courteous and kind - not to mention itu2019s unprofessional to begin with as a representative of any company.. Iu2019m absolutely disgusted with the experience Iu2019ve had so far and hate that I have to call back again.....

Complete trash. Admitted to making mistakes on documents then told me to fly a kite and fix them myself. Now I'm jumping through hoops to get their mistakes corrected, but what do you expect from out government.

They are lucky to be receiving one star. Let me say this, when I applied for my ss card the lady working was fantastic. I didn't receive my card for 3 weeks and after calling them (ssa) I was told I didn't have my name on the inside of the mailbox. I said ok, I will do that, that gal was kind of snotty, this has been over 3 months ago, 4 months is the total time I have been waiting to receive my ss card. When I do call I get an automated phone system that leads you around to a non fulfilled answer and one of two things takes place; the system hangs up on you or it rings a line that nobody answers. Typical for this entity.

Bismarck office is a joke. Wouldn't even give them one star. Would not allow me schedule an appointment over the phone. Cannot schedule an appointment online. And walk-in service is so slow that you cannot reach an attendant during your lunch hour. Can thank the federal government for continuing to shaft the common working man.

Did not receive check and after an hour wait a rep told me that a letter stating my benefits would end if I didn't provide info was mailed, I never received this letter that was supposedly sent so therefore they cut off benefits. The address they had on file was correct. No accountability at all and completely useless rep

They hold the recipient accountable for their own system mistakes. They make it difficult when out of town. When last in office, they said everything was great. Now this, suspending checks cause their system is screwed or the person typing in the information is lazy to put it in twice.

Slow!! Plan on waiting for hour half-2 half hours for every visit. Don't come in thinking your going to be seen withen 30-hour wait. Don't plan anything, go with an open schedule. People are very very nice workers.

I have called them 2 times and both guys I talked to were very helpful and answered my questions in a very courteous manner. Could have not been better. I read the other reviews and I don't know why they had such a problem. Maybe some attitude?

The waits are long, the security guard is very rude, the sign should be on the other side of the building, the only good thing is the teller was nice.
