Been attempting to get a new social security card as I am a mother and I desperately need a new job but cannot get one without two forms of ID. I have tried online numerous times and nothing has come in and when I called to ask why they treated me as if I was unintelligent and then I call continuously every day to get no answer. I finally get an appointment in the office on my daughteru2019s birthday and I still havenu2019t received anything and itu2019s been over a month. P.S. I first applied for a replacement in DECEMBER and it is now APRIL 2022!

Keep being told no visits without appointment but they do not answer phone. Been on hold an hour every day for almost 2 weeks to get an appointment. Horrible staff, if only on appointments, they shouldn't be busy so why can noone pick up a phone.

I appreciate the lady helping my dad as quick as she did, but it is a crying shame that they cant open a door and hand out a peice of lousy paper. He had no way of logging on and printing out anything and now he has to do without because it has to be mailed from statesville and across the country and back to statesville because they won't just hand it to you. Where is this world going? And what is the he point in this building being here anyway? Seems to me just a waste of money.

Very poor customer service. Child support workers are so hateful when custodial parents call to ask about child support. Like we are the bad parent! Hell if the noncustodial parent would just pay it without a court order you wouldn't be bothered. Dont stick up for the dead beat parents who are made to help take care of their children that they created. Such a joke!

Tried to get my name changed, mailed in all my paperwork then get a letter two months later saying they couldn't accept photocopy of marriage license (it wasn't a photocopy). Then when I called after 100 busy signals or busy messages saying they were too busy to answer calls, finally talked to someone who said they had marked it as photocopy there was nothing they could do about it and I'd have to start over.nEdit: they did call back and fix the problem

The Salisbury office spelled my new married name wrong even though i had all the paperwork right. Came to the Statesville one to get it fixed. They were absolutely packed when I walked in. The guy at the front desk was very nice and answered any questions people might have. Another lady came out making sure people had what they needed so they didn't wait for no reason. The lady that helped me was very nice and answered my questions about getting my license changed. Despite being packed, I was in and out in 30 mins. Would definitely recommend this location.

This office is close to my home. I have been there a couple of times. The front desk check in guy is pleasant and helpful. Since I was there on behalf of Mom I think that may be why I didn't feel like they were going to help me. They just told me what else that I needed to without saying anything about why they were needed the extra material for.

I have been here twice and every time I come it's not too crowded. The officer at front desk is super nice. Very helpful and patient with everyone. They try to get you back as soon as they can. I received a letter from the Social Security asking me to make an appointment with my local office, when I called the gentleman who reviewed my information said they did not give appointments for my problem, that I would just need to come in and wait, does that make any sense? Besides that he cleared his throat and sighed more times than I can count while on the phone. I don't know how elderly people deal with this system.
