From now on Iu2019m calling this office rather than the New Bern office. The difference in service was so much better than in NB. Not only was the man I spoke to extremely polite, he understood the urgency of my situation and helped me get exactly what I neededu2026all in less time than I would have been on hold at the NB office. Thank you!

I would give zero stars if it was possible someone needs to train them on how to pick up a phone every time I try to go up there they tell me I canu2019t come in without a appointment but then every time I try to call itu2019s either the line is busy or I get put on hold for hours until I finally hang up like theyu2019re are people out here struggling because they canu2019t get what they need from social security like how hard is it todo your job .

This 5-star review is for Ms. Vonda - and I'd give her more stars if I could. The short version of this complicated story is I went to the Charlotte office recently for my dad, who lives in Mexico. He asked me to drop off a letter at the SSA office, but the office is by appt. only due to COVID. I called the phone number posted on the door my call ended up rolling over to Ms. Vonda in the Kingston office. I filled her in on my extremely frustrating situation and she responded with friendliness, kindness and professionalism. We stayed on the phone for quite some time while she did all kinds of research and calls on her end trying to get me in touch with the appropriate person. Thanks to her, I finally connected with the right person and was able to fax my dad's letter. Without the fabulously patient Vonda and her stellar problem-solving abilities, I would have had a complete meltdown that day. Actually, I'd probably still be in the SSA parking lot sitting in a puddle of tears. Thank you Vonda for everything! You are a true gem and I'm forever grateful to you.

Ms. Nottingham's service on the phone was world-class and exemplary. Mr. Nottingham took the time to understand the issue that I was facing and went way beyond the call of duty to correct the mistake. She called me back minutes after I had left a message for her to inquire about the status of the correction. Throughout it all, her attitude was excellent and very courteous. Ms. Nottingham is an asset to the Social Security office of Kinston.

My wife and I had our first experience with the SSA on Wednesday of this week. We had a very positive visit. We received the information needed and more. The personnel that we met with was very professional and informed. Thanks for making our first experience a positive one.

Very helpful, friendly staff from phone call to on site security and window reception. The building is top notch and so are the employees. Ms. Vonda helped me and I have confidence the she will resolve an issue I've been dealing with the general SSA officials for 6 months.
