I've been calling all day in hopes to make an appointment. Please answer, it is time sensitive!!! At the very least let me leave my # for you to call back, or let us book with a calendar online. So many easy fixes to this 19th century problem. The govt is always so behind technology....

The worst place Iu2019ve ever been too. Security guard is obnoxious. Doesnu2019t help at all, doesnu2019t answer your questions and completely ignores you.

I have been trying to contact the SS Administration now for over a month, to no avail. I cannot log into my SS acct. due to lack ofone time security code. It is impossible to retrieve it. I cannot get a human to deal with my problem, and the automatic services are no help either.

I would first like to thank miss.Papio . I called the s.s building first due to pandemic procedures. I was on hold for a long time due to a high call volume. I was already annoyed as soon as she answered she was very polite well spoken very resourceful answered all my questions promptly and asked if I need any other help and that I understand everything I needed to do. The service she provided was better than service I had in the past going there in person.nnThank you

People need to be informed that this Social Security Office is being renovated. I believe the expected completion is the Spring 2020. I recommend making an appointment since the waiting room has seating for about 30 people. I had to stand for about 30 minutes and I had an appointment. The temporary location is adjacent to the carpet store on 2389 Richmond Avenue. This was the only sign which informed me about the new location.

This office has always been extremely helpful, either in person or on the phone.

You are told not to drink or eat by the security guard. She sits eating and spitting out her sunflower seeds. She did it the whole 2 hours I was sitting here. You are also told to take all phone calls outside in the hallway or stairwell. Although the security guard answers her phone and talks while she is working and in the waiting room. She took multiple personal calls. Waiting room is packed wall to wall with people. No sitting room. Standing room only. If possible do transactions online and stay away from here.

if i could give zero stars i would. the so called workers at this office are lazy, inept, unprofessional, uncompassionate & rude. i had been receiving disability benefits since mid 2006 because i suffer from congestive heart failure. i came up for re-certification of my disability benefits in early 2016. since then i was down at this Godforsaken office at least 6-8 times! constantly harassed & frustrated by them. these lowlifes botched every attempt i made to continue to receive my benefits. letting my paperwork sit in a file cabinet for 3 months, when it should have been put into their computers immediately, etc. suffice it to say, these evil people got what they wanted & took away my benefits. i am now struggling even worse than before. you would think with the pitiful amount of money they were giving me, they wouldn't have missed it. now they are billing me for $10,000 i supposedly ''owe'' them.

I went to this office at 9am this morning. I sat there waiting for 45 mins. When I was finally called I went to the window. Even though I waited my turn and had all my documents I was told I had to go home and call for an appt. I told the man I had all my documents. He told me I had to call for an appt. I returned home and called. They gave me an appt for Jan 10. It is Nov 15th. They then told me on the phone I didn't have to wait that long I could go to the office with my documents at any time! Such BS! They know they are supposed to see you when you go there but they turn you away any way! Going back tomorrow and demanding to see a manager. Don't let them tell you that you have to leave and make an appointment!

This office needs better staff. I came in December 2016 to drop off papers, just to find out the following January my papers were never filed. The woman who 'helped' me in December was rude, nasty, impatient - everything you wouldn't want from someone to help you with your social security matters! I dropped off the same form in the middle of February, and I just got a call recently (end of February) asking if I had filed the papers. WHAT A JOKE! How long does it take to simply direct some papers into the correct bin?? I'm giving this place two stars just because the wait time isn't super ridiculous. Maybe I just jinxed it and next time I'll be waiting in line for two hours! Wouldn't be surprised.

I would give zero stars if I could. First off, the security guard is the rudest woman I have ever met. She is suppose to be there to keep you safe and help if needed. You try to ask her a question and she cuts you off mid sentence. ATTITUDE! Second I was there to declare my father deceased and they messed up and declared both of my parents deceased. My mother having to deal with being a recent widow now has to deal with all her bank account being frozen, credit cards canceled...etc. because SS says sheu2019s dead. Itu2019s unbelievable how people can get away with doing their jobs so poorly.

Nobody answers the phone. Ends up hanging up on me every single time. Even if I call early.

I went to schedule an appointment and waited there 3 hours! The place is a zoo. Over 40 people waiting and only one window open to assist people. Finally sought attorney to do SSD application.
    Hani Milad
I only wanted to ask the receptionist a quick question she refused to help me saying I have to get a number first, with a room full of people! Just tell me yes or no I don't need to wait 2 hours to get that!

Waited 2.5 hours today with a toddler in a room that was small, and felt like a sauna. Security officer was not helpful. No where to sit for about 20 people. No phone use, no eating or drinking....very hard to sit there for over 2 hours and stare blankly at the wall.
    John Catalano
Terrible wait. All I needed was a replacement ss card. Waiting 1 1/2 hours, and now there is only one person at the window - 1 out of 4 windows. Great.

Help my mom apply Medicare, file everything online at November and the next day bring all documents wait 45 minutes let them make a copy and wait until February still didn't receive anything, so I call the 1800 number found out they didn't file anything want me bring documents back to here, and again today is March 12, check online on status still Nothing have been done...nWhat the hell those officers doing?

I had some trouble getting all my information set up with the office. Yury Bass ended up assisting me, and he resolved all my issues. He was very helpful and professional.

One person working while 30 people are waiting. Do they need people? Are they hiring? This is absolutely ridiculous. I also want a job where I get paid for not working.
