They did not return my birth certificate, and told me they never received it. Itu2019s a really large piece of polyurethane plastic just like the Canadian money, Half the size of a sheet of printer paper. When I called they werenu2019t the friendliest, and the supervisor offered up the information that there are only two employees working in office due to covid. The supervisor was supposed to have called me back after checking with both employees, and I have a look around in their files however I never received a callback. Extremely poor service, and lack of professionalism. Self addressed stamped envelope that I paid for at the post office for the weight of all of the documents was sent back to me.Makes me wonder why they didnu2019t use it. Do not trust your documents do not mail them. Now Iu2019ve got to go to Ontario to replace that birth certificate. If you can use any other office, the travel is worth it because replacing these documents is not easy.

I sent in paperwork for both my twins, in the same envelope, for replacement cards. One twin received his card, I was then told after calling, they never received paperwork for the other twin. I find that really hard to believe considering both boys paperwork were sent in together in the same damn envelope. I guarantee one of the employees threw out the other paperwork not realizing it was 2 different people. Friggen idiots! Thank you for making it a little easier on us working class....rant over

Really disappointed that my husband and daughter's passports were crammed into a standard envelope, and her birth certificate was folded in half. Items should be returned in the same condition they were sent. And in an envelope big enough for the documents. Please do better.

The wife and I went there about 6 months ago. We were treated great and didn't have to wait long at all to see an agent. People were polite, and the agent we spoke with was both friendly and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. By far the best experience I've had with SS offices, and I've had to visit them around 4 or 5 times in a different state. Very grateful for their help.

Whenever I would attempt to call the line would be busy. No 800 number for US citizens in Canada. Poor service or rather No service!
