Horrible!! One mistake after another and lack of professionalism! I payed an overpayment from years ago. Was told it was paid off last year and now they are trying to collect again on the same issue. I filed for a fair hearing and now still waiting for a resolution while having to call for critical payments to which some of it is being applied to the old paid off overpayment which has also caused more outof pockets expenses due to the charges I'm getting from Bill collecting because most of my bills are auto pay!! Did I mention that I am also taking care of Mt 6 year old grandson!! Horrible!!!!

We had to get a copy of our sons social security card. He is 14. Last year we attempted to get a copy. It took us 3 visits before we had everything they wanted. They wanted a certified letter from his MD verifying he was a current patient. They wouldn't accept it because it wasn't signed in pen! (They had a stamped signature). After 3 attempts last year we were told everything was set. The card never came. Fast forward a year, we are trying again. We called the SS admin number to verify what we needed because the website is confusing. They woman I spoke to told me what we needed. We got to the office & turns out we need something else. We had to leave AGAIN and pick up a school form. We finally were told today that we are all set & should receive it in 2 weeks. Their hours are TERRIBLE (9-4, closed for lunch). The staff was not helpful. I wish we had another option. We do not. Plan on making multiple trips if you have to go here. It was awful.

I called to ssa Geneva ny office. The call was accepted in minutes. The representative who was assisting me, Ms Ortiz was awesome: she did her best to make the needed changes so my mother who is 90 yo could have the home care she needs. Iu2019m very grateful for Ms Ortizu2019s kind help. Stay safe and thank you for your assistance!

Have visited this office several times, wait time is usually around 30-60 minutes (in the middle of the day) and staff is pleasant and helpful. The poor reviews on here seem to reflect SSI as a whole, not this location. This office is 10x better than the Syracuse location where you will wait all day just for them to tell you they canu2019t help and to come back another time.

Significantly faster than I expected from a government office. Also, much more helpful than calling since they have all of the documents in front of them.
