Don't waste your time going to this location even just to drop off because the flashlight security takes his bad daddy out on you. We were in the does reading the drop box area and he told us off for getting there as if there were so many people here (one other car sitting here with us)nnEither social security should make things more convenient for us to get things done or regular their security with someone less hostile.

It is now April 1st and we are well past the covid pandemic but the office will not allow in person visits without appointments. Appointments are impossible to schedule because no one ever picks up the phone. I am unable to file taxes due to a SS glitch which I am not able to fix. I have called all three locations in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and Santa Fe without any luck. Please answer the phones and help us out.

worst service ever. Hung up on twice: once by their telephone answering software, second time by an actual person. Doesn't matter though--they never have appointments no matter when I call, and I can't use online to request my full benefits as I am currently getting spousal benefits. Guess I will have to ask my congress person to intervene

I called to ask for information about where to do a walk in because the Albuquerque location is closed due toNo one who is educated enough to qualify for the job is applying for the positionis what we were told. We have spoken to 9 different people about the situation and ALL are very rude. When they answered my phone called the operator didn't even give me a chance to speak, first thing out of her mouth wasI'm sure we have already went over this with you enoughI had to stop her and tell herExcuse me, I understand your job is frustrating, as I am frustrated with this situation as well, but please at least give me a chance to speak I know that it must be hard having to answer all these questions over and over, but if it were as easy as you say it should be to get this done then it would be done and I wouldn't have to keep calling. Most importantly if you don't like your job get a new one. We pay our taxes and that pays your checks so maybe get a new job if you are sick of answering the phones. We have business to get done and we don't need the workers at the social security office to be rude and flat out mean, and think that its ok to treat people with such disrespect and rudeness. Shame on all of youbusiness professionalsacting the way you do, come on DO BETTER!!!!

Absolutely hard to work with, no hours listed, no counter service and horrible customer service. Being rude as possible to a person who isn't even interested in arguing, like why?nWhy be so rude and cold when nothing been done to trigger such attitude?nnTake a breath and chill, you punch out every day at the same time and dont deal with customer service anymore. Breath dude, just breath

The lady was rude but I only spent 10 minutes on hold and at least someone answered, and she did answer all of my questions. In Albuquerque they always hang up after 20 mins of being on hold (I've called 5 times) so this is much better than the ABQ office.

The security guard is a real piece of work taking out his noticeable inferiority complex out on anyone who walks in the door, elderly to teens, he'll talk down to you and bark absurd expectations such as not allowing minor children to sit near their parents because of social distancing practices.

I get it's been busy due to covid but it took forever to speak with anyone over the phone. When I did finally get through the lady I spoke with was probably the rudest person I've ever spoke with. They need to hire courteous people especially dealing with disability.
    Brandon Peterson
Called one person and they hung the phone up on me. Called back and the lady was very rude!!! Terrible customer service!!! Needs to be reworked and employees need to go through customer service classes. Super disappointed!!! Your job is to provide high class work for the people. Beyond upset with how they handle business. Going to drive an hour away to handle my business because of the image their workers are portraying!
    Peter Matar
I know you guys are busy but Leo was so rushed on the phone then hung up before I could ask my last question. Now I can't get through.
    Missea
The man answering the phone is beyond rude in a very passive agressive way. I called to complain about him and he wasn't going to put the call through to his supervisor for me to rightfully express my complaints about the prior 2 phone calls he'd answered. When I did finally speak with his supervisor, he also had given me incorrect information by $500.

I had a complicated issue with my account last month so I went into the office. I had a pleasant chat with another customer while I was waiting my turn. After about 30 minutes I was fortunate to work with a representative who was very patient and thorough. This morning I called to ask a couple more questions; after 15 minutes on hold I was able to talk with a lovely woman named Rhonda who was very helpful. I learned that I will need to go into the office regarding questions I have about collecting ex-spousal benefits. So, I can look forward to talking to Rhonda again soon. Everyone I have had the pleasure to talk with at this office has been very helpful and kind.

I was so surprised by the professionalism at the Santa Fe office. While I had to wait about 40 minutes to speak with someone on the phone, when I did, Stephen was excellent with his guidance and suggestions. I then had a follow up call with Dawn and set up an appointment to meet at the Santa Fe office. I walked in at 1PM and was promptly called to a seat and spent about 40 minutes with Dawn. I was very pleased and impressed with these two staff members and left a happy gal! Good job!

First of all why does it say it is open? if it is not.. Second of all when calling the 1-866 number it says its open by appointment ONLY! I asked for an appointment and a very rude guy Antonio Chavez he's yelled was his name said it is not open for appointment. Not for what I needed. I asked why does it say so then by appointment. He hung up on me. I called about 4 times and he kept yelling and hanging up.

I had to go and update my SS card before I could get theReal IDfrom the DMV. Doors opened at 9am. I waited till 9.30 ( being the 6th person in line at the door).nnI had all my paperwork I needed, and was treated lovely by a gentleman with silver hair and close trimmed beard.nnI was out by 9.50, with my new printout of my SS info.nnThis is perfect!nnDo your research, get your documents and it's a smooth process. Don't blame them for you using your middle name as your first name. I overheard some guy complaining. If that's what you want, damn well legally change your name then.nnPerfect service today!!! And yes, plenty of staff. So many entitled people wanting Express Service. If 10 people walk in and 5 are serving us, have some patience!

They can never even answer the phone! We waited on the line for hours! Our home phones actually died while waiting and we have 3 hand sets! Been waiting since March for them to adjust my my friends ssa because his workmen's comp ended and here we are in the middle of December and haven't heard anything! Shameful!n** We were finally given a date that Patricia would call back. I'll baby this to make sure it goes throughwere her exact words , and I'll call him on July 9th after 3 !Well here we are 7/9/19 @ 5:20 and no call! They actually closed at 4 today!

I have visited this SF office numerous times, contacted them numerous times regarding status of areconsideration!! After 6 months I retained an Attorney to assist in getting a resolution for my case! No phone call, no letter, no response whatsoever!! My benefits were reduced due to a monthly pension. I have never received a monthly pension!!! Done with them, next step Congressman Lujan, and main office, Attorney General's office. The staff apparently is very incompetent, including supervisors....I worked 30 years for SS, I shouldn't have to wait for money that is legally mine...

Our experience here was 100% positive. The guard was helpful & courteous, the wait was short, and the agent was very professional. They primary work by appointment, so help yourself out and call ahead for an appointment. Also come prepared: bring relevant documents, information, etc. Unlike some government agencies, I have found SSA to be genuinely interested in helping people out.

Maybe I'm in some kind of alternate universe, but my call was answered within a few minutes by Don, who gave me a choice of several appt. times for next week. Haven't had the appt. yet -- but given the stress that federal employees are working under, I'm very impressed.

Jason Tapia with Diamond group is the security officer that I had the opportunity to work with today. He was asked if he would get these papers that I printed off the computers that the first SSA representative directed me to. I could use them to show the window agent what I'm talking about! I waited for about 40 minutes to get to her the first time, just to ask her 60 second question, then spent ten minutes using their computer to not even get the answer I had asked HER for. Unfortunately, when I expressed my displeasure at having to again wait another time, about 40 more minutes, to see yet another SSA employee, to Jason, he said that he would not get the paper that I printed out, since I wasn't speaking about HIS employees nicely. It seems AND acts like he owns the place and had a very poor attitude about helping frustrated taxpayers, who actually pay for the SSA employees, trying to get information. Maybe Diamond could talk to him about being more customer service oriented. He consistently hopes out for people to take their cell phone conversations outside, keep their voices down, etc. which in itself is enough to irritate all those waiting. Wish me luck for when I actually DO get to another employee again! Note that he knows I am writing a review, he's passively aggressively being overly sweety, saying thank you lost to ask sorts of folks, obviously so I can hear!

Surreal. Applied for Medicare online.Simple. Application conftirmation said: u201cTake or mail original birth certificate to local office.u201dnI went there, took the document, waited 60 minutes in the lobby. All agents were out to lunch it seemed.nMale agent at the window got my info, then copied THE ORIGINAL document and then sent me home with: u201cYou are good to go; you will hear form SSAu201d This, AFTER I offered additional documents to copy, u201cjust in caseu201d. Two days later somenone there (Dawn) sends me a letter asking for the SAME document, PLUS any naturalization document (NOT required OR requested by the SSA website or its application confirmation). Impossible to get through to them, I left TWO voicemails to u201cDawnu201d which went unanswered, so I am left in a lurch. Maybe this particular office should be on permanent SHUTDOWN. Or, at the very least, a staff RE-training session might be in order...

Continuously on hold and then they hang up on you. You repeat and you have the same thing happen. About 20 minutes each time. Office is not open at all. How in the world can we get any help???
    Jackie Shane
Worst experience of my life. Just spoke with a man who refused to give me any information about survivor benefits. Refused to give me his name and hung up on me.
    Angela Gabriel
Trying to get through to ask a question and I have been on hold forever. When I thought it seemed like someone was finally going to answer, I was disconnected! Incredibly frustrating.
