After waiting a ridiculous amount of time to speak to someone about correcting my name on my Social Security card, a representative answered the phone. Looking back I wish I wouldu2019ve gotten the representativeu2019s name because I have never had an interaction like this with any government organization in my life! Iu2019m 99% sure the representative was drunk or high or both during me interaction with him on the phone. Slurring words, taking awkward pauses between questions and asking me to repeat my information when I already gave it to him. Ultimately he hung up on me after telling me there were no appointments available and to call back. I would not be surprised if this representative was at home getting drunk at work because I know that social security workers are still working from home even after New Jersey state workers offices reopened. I will be calling my Congressional Representative and making a complaint. I wish I wouldu2019ve recorded the call because Iu2019m positive this wouldu2019ve made the news if I had proof. This is what our tax dollars go towards???????

Applied for SSDI beginning of January. States online it takes 2-4 weeks for a decision. I'm now in month FIVE and they're only 62% through my application. I've tried to call repeatedly throughout the day, every single day, and no one is EVERRRR available to answer the phone. I'm fully disabled, CANT work, have a young child, and no income to help my family. Do they even take any of this into consideration while they're sitting there doing absolutely nothing while collecting a paycheck? You aren't taking walk-ins. You can't get through to schedule an in person appointment. You can't get through to discuss ANYTHING on the phone. WHAT IS THE POINT OF BEING OPEN OR EVEN HAVING A CONTACT NUMBER IF YOU ARE NEVER REALLY OPEN????????

I have been trying to schedule an appointment for weeks for my required in-person matters. This office has not picked up the phone for me to schedule. Each time I call, I stay on the like over 1.5 hours with no success. The office is not busy and there is no one in line but Iu2019m not allowed in.

There was an issue with my account where it told me I have to come inside and I couldnu2019t make an appointment online either . I got to social security to get a replacement card and the lady acted as if I did something to her or as if she was in a really bad mood. Nasty attitude, Iu2019m trying to explain to her that my account requires me to come inside and Iu2019mnShut off from the site but she doesnu2019t want to hear anything and just tells me itu2019s appointments only and to keep calling this number that doesnu2019t answer. When I finally got through after 4-5 days a lady answered and I argued with her for about 20 minutes trying to explain to her I canu2019t schedule and appointment online and she just keeps saying it. She finally comes to her senses and realizes my account was restricted if she would have just listened to me. These people donu2019t want to work there apparently. I would love to help people get there life together and get them the information they neeed. These people were nasty .

I went to the office on 12/3/21 and the rude security gaurd told me to make an appt online and shut the door in my face. He was very mean to me. Something tells me he hates the disabled. You CAN NOT make an appt online itu2019s impossible. Iu2019ve called multiple times and have been on hold for hours at a time. Im currently on hold now and have been trying to reach them for about 2 hours now. Ready to just get a lawyer and be done with it.nAlready reached out to congress as they are trying to help me out because this office is absolutely impossible to work with. Itu2019s absolutely disgusting that this is how you treat people with disabilities. Glad to know where you stand in the world.

Absolutely horrible. I have been trying to schedule an appointment to go in for months because I need to change my name for official paperwork and I assume no one is working or just twiddling their thumbs because no one ever answers the phone. After almost 3 hours on hold you would think someone would answer? We can't get into the building and we can't get anyone to answer the phones what are we to do?

We have been trying to get ahold of someone in the Cherryhill office. On hold for over 30 minutes at a time. No one picks up. Tried all hours. Boyfriend just has a question. Not good business.

They don't pick up the phone, so don't even try. I drove to Cherry Hill to drop off a form, the rude female security guard said to mail it, they don't accept anything in person. Then she shut the door...

I moved to NJ from a different state. I have two disabled children and they are not getting the correct benefits. I have been calling for months and no answer after the phone literally rang for an hour!!!! What am I to do!!!!
    Veronica Moffett

I have been trying to speak to a live person for over a week now. I have left multiple messages for Miss Velasquez and even suoervisor Mary Cavallo to no avail. I have spent hours on hold only to be disconnected. This is unbelievable and shameful . I hope others have had a better experience If this was a regular business, they would be out of business.

This is insane. I need a replacement ss card for my child in order to apply for assistance and no one rver picks up! I will be homeless by time I reach someone. This is such poor customer service. I sent in my application and my original documents in August! If I cant get a card, give me my documents back! This is crazy!

Just waited 15 minutes to speak to someone who was super rude about what I need to send in for a replacement Social Security card for my daughter so that she can get a drivers license. I asked if they had any idea when the offices may reopen and he said u201cyouu2019ll know before me.u201d They also want you to send in your original drivers license and he basically told me if I get pulled over without my drivers license because I sent it to them thatu2019s my problem.nI was also given no indication how long they would need my original documents, such as my daughters passport or school ID, and my drivers license. This pandemic has been going on for long enough that they should have some better systems in place. I do understand that these people probably get a lot of phone calls because this is ridiculous and they donu2019t have much help to offer but there was really no reason for him to be rude.

I called them on two different occasions & let phone ring for over two hours without an answer. I also called early AM, afternoon , & late afternoon with no answer. This is totally unacceptable . That goes for the Mt. Laurel office too. I am still trying to get a hold of someone to speak to.
    Gladys Santiago
Hold times are ridiculous, you can be on hold anywhere between 20min-2hrs. Iu2019ve been having an issue since December and when I finally do get a live person on the other line they tell me that the issue is on their behalf and should be resolved between 3-5 business days. Months have passed and nothing! These people could care less if you end up homeless. By the way Iu2019m on hold as a type this.
    Gabriela Garcia
If I could give a 0 I would. Always on hold for over 1 hour. & when the line does start to ring someone hangs up.
    frankie thomas
If I could give no stars I would. I've been calling this Cherry Hill office since 9:00am and the phone constantly keeps hanging up. Why put that you open at 9:00am and no one is answering the phone. On different occasions I've called at 2pm or 3pm and waited for hours, then the phone decides to hang up. On top of that I applied for a new SS card with my name change since the ending of March 2021. April 19 , 2021 I get a receipt saying it should be there in 2 weeks. It's now July 6, 2021 and I have yet to get anything. I called the international SSA number and they're telling me that it says it's been processed but if I didn't receive it I would have to reapply for another one. Like are you serious, after all that waiting. This office is above and beyond unprofessional.
