prepare to walk in the door and immediately be frisked by a rude officer that clearly hates his job. only one person is allowed in at a time and you are forced to follow outdated covid protocols. I'll just make the drive into the city next time

I was Iu2019ll and now live with my daughter. I forgot to change my address and consequently have no recent letter. As a result I am unable to get my tax form without going in. I have called for an appointment and am continually cut off. It is next to impossible to get an appointment.

Trying to change my name after getting married has been the most difficult process ever. They are still closed due to COVID, so everything has to be done over the phone.nnThe first time I called, after waiting 15 minutes on hold I finally got to speak with someone and told her my situation. She said I needed to mail in my drivers license and my birth certificate or passport. I told her I needed my drivers license everyday so I canu2019t do that. She suggested I speak to someone in the Sedalia office about it (the number I called was listed as the Sedalia office). She told me I needed to hang up and when they answer say I need to speak to the Sedalia office.nnI called again, waited another 15-20+ minutes to speak to someone. I told her I needed to speak to the Sedalia office, she redirected my call. No one answered. I left a voicemail. A week went by with our response.nnI called a third time. Went through the same 20 min or longer process to finally talk to someone. The man that answered the phone at the Sedalia office said I only needed to mail in this form since it was only a name change, and that I didnu2019t need to send in documents. I mailed in the required form with my original marriage certificate like he instructed me to.nnA week went by and I received a letter in the mail stating they could not process my request because I did not mail in the documents.nnI called again today. Their phone number was not working all day. When called, it was just a loud beeping noise. Finally around 3 today, after calling multiple times, the number finally went through. I waited 20 minutes on hold again the third time I called (the time was around 3:45 pm). The call switched to ringing from on hold so I assumed I was being redirected, but it rang for 15 minutes without anyone answering. They close at 4. I feel no one answered the phone because it was so close to closing time. But after waiting over a half hour on hold, I still feel someone should have answered my call or at least redirected it to a voicemail.nnI never leave bad reviews and always try to give businesses/people the benefit of the doubt, but I am beyond frustrated with this office. This has been a multiple week process of just trying to change my name. I donu2019t understand what else to do or how to get through to this office.

Just got off the phone with very nice, very helpful person who gave me the information I needed to help a friend with a SS problem. Did not get her name. I asked for Molly N. who is always very helpful but she was not working today. I was given her ext. # to leave a # for callback. Very professional and very nice. Exceptional response for a government office in today's impersonal world!! We are glad you are in Sedalia!

Nice people. High security measures. Your bag, purse, etc.. Will be searched. If you don't need it, don't take it in. Its small, clean office with only 2 agents to assist. No appointment needed.

Well it's a government establishment so the commoner must be disarmed and searched. The help is beyond rude and of little help. And all o went for was a replacement social security card for my son.
