Social Security Administration should be embarrassed at how they are treated the Citizens of this nation here lately. They closed down all offices and doing business over the phone and by appointment only? Well over the phone (at least this office) will not answer the phone ever!! Not at 9am (opening time) not after you wait over 80 minutes and get hangup by the machine and call right back and wait another hour. The national phone services when call the only thing thing they do is give you the u201cnumber to your local agencyu201d which is this number. If you are going to shut down due to the u201cpandemicu201d (i believe the pandemic is very real, however i donu2019t believe SSA is shut down because of it) at least have adequate phone services for the people that need your service and that cant not wait or be done online. This is embarrassing to say the least.

most of these government agencies have too much power. IRS is another one with bad reputation. I been dealing with these people for a year just to correct my birthday in their system. I've had no help after sending a bunch of documents.

March 24th, 2022nnI search up online to see if the office is open and it said it was. I drive all the way up here just to walk in through the doors to be stopped by cones and signs saying they are only doing drop box services only. This should be posted somewhere on the website so people like me donu2019t waste their time coming up here.

I have tried to call social security administration closest to my home is in Hamilton rd. It is a very longest waiting experience in my life time. I had to use national social security administration, I an using Sorenson video phone with my Sorenson interpreter. All I want is to get direct deposit change and I can not access my social security online. I need them to unsuspense my access social security online. This is so sad and I have to get ahold of them. I hope social security needs to improve their technology update. Things have change so is the technology.

I have been trying to get a hold of somebody for over a month. A persons extension I dial puts you straight to voicemail and now you canu2019t even leave a voicemail. When I press zero the phone just rings and rings. My attorney got a hold of somebody one time and they said that they was gonna have someone call me but no one called. Itu2019s literally ridiculous this is crazy! People should get in trouble! You finally get excepted after years, donu2019t find out till months later and canu2019t even get your money until you speak to someone and you canu2019t even speak to anyone. This is nonsense!

I'm 68 years old, I had to close a bank account where my retirement benefits were deposited so I called social security office to give updated information. I called several times with no answer. Finally someone answered and told me I had to prove who I am, but refused to give me an appointment. I was told to just mail my state identification, social security card and birth certificate to their office and only original documents would be accepted. I explained I had an upcoming surgery and they required my original documents and I needed to come into their office to bring my original documents so I could receive my retirement benefits. I was advised they would cut off my retirement benefits and I would have to reapply. I called the toll free number a few days later, phone rang about 30 times, then the woman I spoke with was extremely rude and sounded angry that I requested help. She asked for my name, social security number which I gave her. She then wanted the address I lived at when I first applied for my retirement benefits. I advised her that was years ago, I had moved several times and didnt remember what address I lived at when I first applied. She said well then I cant help you and hung up. To date I have not received my retirement benefits for several months and I still cant get an appointment. If this is how all retirees are being treated something is definitely wrong with our government and the individuals they hire to assist its citizens who have worked all their lives but are being denied basic human rights and benefits using the coronovirus as an excuse. May God help us all.

Worst company ever. all this week, they stated at 3:30 pm hold the line so I can research your issue and never come back to the phone I been on hold for 1 hour and 30. They never come back to check on you. The other day the supervisor refused to help me due to it being 4pm. Just ridiculous

Been trying for over 6 months to get my disabled son a ssi card this place is a joke . There is no in person meeting and he can't get any ID without a ssi card so how do you submit a ID you can't obtain without a ssi card to get a ssi card

Waited 50 minutes to be told the wrong information. Was told Medicare appointment by phone is in March but the letter I received says that it is in April!!! Just trying to sign in is a joke!

It would be very decent for them to inform the public that the office is closed that you only can drop paperwork off.

I have never in my life dealt with people so uneducated and disrespectful. I feel so bad for people who have to deal with any process with this administration this the worse thing I've ever dealt with in my life. I hate them

This place is the epitome of poor quality! My son was approved for SSI, MS WALLACE sent an your APPROVED letter requiring a call in to complete the non medical portion of his application from March. He did! She says he qualifies under his deceased dadu2019s plan SSDI and that application opened June 2021 so she mailed out a false letter stating he asked her not to process his SSI application. This lady falsified documentation as he never said that I was on the line as well as his representative. Now, his benefits are at the payment center and it is taking them this long to determine is award and pay him his benefits? Two congressional inquiries have been made to date and this place continues to drag their feet. MS BENTON never returns calls unless a complaint is filed on her but provided the information on when to call back in for inquiries on his case. She now states given there is a congressional inquiry a higher level person is looking in to it. They are toying with my sonu2019s life as his entitled benefits. Who is overseeing this place?

WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER RECIEVED. I would give this 0 stars if possible. Called in regarding an appointment today. I called in after my boyfriend was supposed to have an appointment at 1pm today. He received no call. The Payson I spoke with at the office said that they attempted to call twice. I said well he doesn't have any missed calls and there's no voice-mail. He said some phone providers automatically send us to voice mail. I said but no one leaves a message? He said well that would depend on the person who called. I said so you're not required to leave a message? it basically just depends if someone feels like it or not? He said well not everyone has a voice mail so we have nothing that requires us to leave a message. I said I just don't understand why someone would not leave a message for something this important. He said look I'm not here to debate with you or argue you either want a new appointment or not. I said I'm sorry what's your name and he said fine no appointment and hung up.

They take forever to pick up the phone, and have to wait for hours. Sometimes it just hangs up by itself.
    OUT N' ABOUT
Expect to wait over an hour sometimes two or three hours to be exact. Wish they would make things a little easier and more accessible.

Update: MS WALLACE STILL has not returned the calls responding to the notice of SSI approval for a young man in need of his benefits, her actions are delaying release of his entitled payments. The Federal level SSA sent her an email and she has not returned call.nnI know a person approved for SSI that has called Ms Wallace to u201ccomplete the non medicalu201d portion of his SSI claim that he completed already months ago (with no updates necessary). However, this agency sent a notice stating if he does not call they will deny his approved application for failure to pursue, yet Ms Wallace has not returned the call to u201cset up an appointmentu201d to complete the application. Just any excuse to delay issuing payments and itu2019s sad. This young mad is in a financial hardship and facing homelessness and Ms Wallace only has voicemail and does not return calls. This is yet another agency that is a disservice to vulnerable populations. If Ms Wallace cannot update the application that is already completed and needs to no updates then assign an alternate employee to do it. PUBLIC AWARENESS is the only way these agencies will start modifying the low quality operations and poor business practices.

If I could give 0 stars I would. These people had the nerve to tell me I have to drop my ID in there drop box to get my social security card. Now last time I checked it is illegal to walk around the US without identification. How in the hell am I suppose to receive it back.

These people who work in this place should change them, they do not like their work, they are rude, they do not answer even the calls, I have been waiting for my baby's social for a year and they do not give me information bad service

DON'T go to this office. They don't give a - - - - about correcting their own mistakes which messes up your end. You give them the correct documents and they pay no attn to it. ud83dudc4e

VERY RUDE AND AWFUL SERVICE. DISGUSTING! I waited almost 3 hours to get an agent just for her to have terrible customer service and not receive the information I called for!
    Dean Sorensen
The few times I have been there, there has been a wait because, well, there were people there ahead of me. Everyone takes a number and when it is your time you get to talk with them. They were nice and professional.

I have always been told anything with social security cards is a nightmare, but my experience was great. They have a check-in kiosk, where I received a number. By the time I sat down, they had already called me! They run like 4 booths at a time, which is nice. The guy that helped me was very nice and we were finished within 5 minutes. Would highly recommend!
