Since there are no in person appointments, I had a virtual appointment scheduled with Stewart. He was efficient, informative, friendly and patient. Questions were answered and he filled out my forms and submitted! Painless.

Ms Dixon does not responded to any of my phone calls or voicemails concerning my disabled brother's social security income. She has not gotten back to me and I have been trying for 6 months to get my brother reinstated for his benefits that they've taken from him. I will definitely be looking into how to complain to a higher up because this is unethical and ridiculous.

My name was misspelled on my social security by one letter when I was born . I have been on the phone multiple time for hours for each one to send me to another one. I canu2019t get my Permit even though I passed, canu2019t get a job cause of background check fails . Iu2019ve sent an application through the mail just for it to come back a month later with my name still spelt incorrectly WHILE THEY HAD MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE WITH MY NAME SPELLED CORRECTLY. this is extremely frustrating. they need to fix their system or open up again

I needed to sign up for Medicare, but was very afraid to send my original proof of citizenship because I've been told that it is send back by plain mail. And they do not allow to come in person and show them the documents. I also told them my concerns about sending such important documents by plain mail being not safe and secure and what if the documents are lost? Eventually I decided to trust them and sent the passport few days ago to Brooklyn Center Office. Today I received from them an envelope that was not closed at all and the envelope contained a cut-out insert of thin cardboard and nothing else. The envelope was not even sealed! I understood that it supposed to contain my passport but the passport was not there, it was lost/stolen because of not sealed envelope! I was concerned about plain mail that the whole letter could be lost but never could I imagine that they will not even seal the envelope properly and not check this! This is so negligent and so careless. I understand they do not care about somebody else's documents because it is not their documents, but these documents are extremely important to a person who sent them. I trusted them with such important document and they couldn't even seal the envelope before sending it back! All other agencies dealing with documents send them back by secure mail. Itu2019s a shame how badly SSA treats people. And what should I do now? And who is responsible for that loss? Brooklyn Center Office, answer me!

They lost my driver's license I sent them and they were very rude to me when I called them and they denied losing it. Do not send them original documents no matter what. Now I have to hire a lawyer to help me with this issue.

I got through very quickly I had to leave a message for my representative (Lee) , who called me back very quickly, and took extra time looking up my information and helping me out, even though he was swamped. It was a surprisingly positive experience.

This place does not handle duplicates or replacements. They only handle cases that have to do with benefits.
