This office has a phone number that's been disconnected. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING.nSince my experience in original review, I went to the office personally. A very different SSA office. I was treated with courtesy from the door to the window. It wasn't busy. Not jam packed as before. There was another client there besides me. My worker swiftly and kindly handled my request.nStart to finish, 15 minutes

Addendum: After waiting a VERY LONG TIME I finally did get a response, of sorts. The agent told me she would send a message to the Lansing office, requesting that some notice be sent to me in a few days.nnWe shall see.n--------------------------------------------------------------------nnUnfortunately this SSA office has been impossible to deal with. I have sent in two forms, with documentation, and it is impossible to get a response. I have waited hours on the phone, without reaching anybody. And I have received no response either by email or by USPS. It is impossible to get any response from these people.nnAdvice to the public: please do not let government take over any more public services. This is what you get! If this were a private business they would be bankrupt by now!

Very hit-and-miss right now, too often a miss. You still can't receive assistance in person, without an appointment scheduled far in advance (This is not indicated on many SSA websites, so many people still arrive at the doors only to discover them locked). You may get a helpful agent or an unhelpful one on the phone. My claim is in disarray right now and of course nobody is taking responsibility. We're all aware these are troubled times, but people's lives literally depend on these services. Standards desperately need improving.nMy advice is to be prepared, patient, and persistent. Because this will likely not be quick or easy.

After 36 minutes patiently waiting, the phone rings. And it is disconnected ud83eudd2c go online-no, canu2019t do that. I need to pick of a packet to deliver to the Dr. With todayu2019s technology they should have a better system in place. This is sad

You canu2019t hardly ever get anyone on the phone. Iu2019ve been trying to schedule an appointment for 2 days now and all I get is long wait time that no one ever answers! Iu2019ve changed my address with SSA 2 years ago yet my nail still goes to the old address. Iu2019m missing letters from SSA because Iu2019m not getting them.

I don't know about this suggested Express Card for social security , it's like pulling teeth to get it to come to the right place! I didn't do anything wrong in getting it to me! It was like near a month that went by and days to get someone on the phone and 3 hours more to get someone who can make things happen and then no reply after I gave out all my personal info along with a picture of my driver's license!

Absolutely the worst. You can't talk to anyone right now, the hours they have posted on the door aren't even current, and their phone line doesn't let you talk to anyone either.

My wife and I both had the joy of working with Rhonda as we needed to decide if the time was right to apply for our Social Security Benefits. She was so helpful in pointing out all the options we had available to us. I never would have been able to make the informed decision I did without her help. I cannot stress how important it is to make an appointment to talk with a specialist before you make a decision about your benefits. If it happens to be Rhonda, so much the better for you. Thank you again Rhonda, for all your help.

I need to get my retirement started by December and have not been able to get through at all. I have tried calling 6 times so far today (on my cell phone and from my land line, so it is not my phones!) while sitting on hold, when it gets to 15 - 20 minutes on hold your call gets cut off every single time! I am going to have to go in to the office to try to get an appointment since it is impossible to get through on their phones if you have to be on hold for 15 minutes. It makes you wonder if they are getting any calls at all and this is a HUGE problem for anyone who calls. HELP, I need to sign up for my SS!!!! PLEASE CHECK YOUR CALL LOGS AND SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE GETTING CUT OFF EACH DAY - I AM CERTAIN THAT THE NUMBER IS HUGE! This is UNACCEPTABLE, NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!

Was fortunate to be in Lansing Michigan last Monday October 15 for a morning appointment that ended early. I decided that I had enought time to go by the local Social Security office on Perry Robinson Circle to order a replacement SS card. Even though I had no appointment my wait time was short, When I was at the window the I was informed that I should file for my Social Security also.nOnce again a very short wait time 'til I was called. Less than one hour later I was in the system!nMy case was handled by David W who was very courteous and Very patient with my many questions.nOnce again David thank you for the positive experience of getting signed on.nnSincerely Terry Brennan.nnP.s. just received my SS card innthe mail today!

What a wonderful experience I had @ the office off Perry Robinson Cir, Lansing, MI. Wait time was not that long. Ms Lee made me feel very comfortable and provided me with a lot of information. Even called me at home, at the time we designated, for some vital information (that I forgot to bring in). Everyone was kind and pleasant. Was in and out in just over an hour.

Today I was at this office for some business that cannot be be found on-line. I must say that my experience was the most positive I've ever had with a governmental agency. All the staff I encountered, including the security guard, were pleasant, helpful, non-judgmental and professional. I can't say enough good things are the organization, information and the help I received today from the Lansing staff. Thank you for making my day!

I came to this office expecting to sign in and return after work but it only took 10 minutes to be called and Michael was very professional and knowledgeable about what I needed as I had more than one thing to take care of. Michael was very kind and patient with me even as I had to return to my car for paperwork. I pray that the blessings of God falls on Michael and his family.

Phone menu was clear and easy to follow. Got an agent on the phone and had a quick and cordial and effective conversation about my business with the SSA.

The people that are saying 5 stars must work at the social security because this place sucks! Better help and less time wasted in DETROIT at their social security office. Very slow and just to rrecieved a replacement card your stuck waiting for everyone else that has nothing to do with a card. They make you wait for all the people trying to get benifits when it only takes you 2 mins for a card. Seriously Lansing needs to do better

tried to call to make an appointment was on hole for 30 mins just to have them hang up on me then called back and kept getting a message that all the agents were unavailable and to call back later. SOS has it figured out how come this government building can't do the same thing.

Thenuff0cwe went to SSA second time, we told them we are not same person uff0cthe guy who worked there told us he will send us a new one. These week we found we still get the same. Great visit as long as you have an appointment. Forget it if you don't.

This office is clean and quiet and well organized. I got there shortly after it opened and got the last parking space so of course there was a long wait. But it was very well organized and I was served in a timely fashion. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It's not that I dislike the social security Administration I just don't like the fact that they usually only have two windows operating and I wish that the kiosk was more specific than just giving you a number because if you really need to speak with someone then it would make sense for it to give you a number for help then to go to the window first and then tell them then they tell you to take a seat until someone else calls your name which could take another 2-3 hours longer

people will put u in hold just to not take your call, when they take your call they donu2019t answer you. i have been in hold for 28 minutes and when they took my call back no one is answering. you could hear the noise tho but they donu2019t answer

I found the lobster lacking but the wine selection is unparalleled. The wife was very happy with the shrimp scampi. Definitely not kid friendly however. 3/5
