I had very impressive experiences with a few of the employees at the Flint Social Security Administration Office located at 1149 Robert T Longway Blvd. Flint, Michigan 48503, which is at the corner of Robert T. Longway & Southbound Chavez Dr. across from Holiday Inn Express. -- My 5-star review relates to the specific individuals that I mention below, in which I feel honored to have come in contact with these individuals. The most recent positive experiences were with Mr. Buck and Mrs. Shelley, and in the past Phillip Bartholomew has been extremely helpful and effective. There is also a friendly security guard in the lobby who is always helpful and he was especially comforting during an incident of mistaken identity. Mr. Buck and Mrs. Shelley's professionalism, knowledge, perspective, communication, and eagerness to help were outstanding, and they noticeably tried to do the right thing regarding challenging issues with social security. I can understand that working at the social security office can be very challenging, especially given that many times the office is dealing with vulnerable people with disabilities and more. Some employees handle their positions better than others, and both of these people effectively handle their jobs, - but they also went above and beyond to handle and fix mistakes made by other employees, and actually not only did their jobs, but they also handled the jobs of other employees that 'purposely' ignored their job for months. I am the social security payee for a severely mentally ill individual. Given this, there are significant behavioral issues to handle, to say the least. These dedicated individuals, Mr. Buck and Mrs. Shelley went above and beyond to help me straighten out situations that needed handling, despite the overload and pressures of work, especially during Covid. They could relate to the situation I was in and pushed through challenges quickly. Both of them were warm and friendly, willing to work to handle the situation fast and effectively. In the past, at the same office, Phillip Bartholomew has been helpful and effective. He joins the above-mentioned employees that have good communication skills, communicating clearly, and who are effective in their work. They all did what they said they would do. Each of them listened and handled their positions properly, with respect for their valuable services, and remained strong and positive during difficult times. I appreciate and respect all of them, and I am grateful for their help.

I received help from Mr. Wilson from this office with my Social Security application and start up of benefits. Over the course of a couple of letters and a prompt follow-up call from Mr. Wilson, my issue and questions were addressed. He was very professional and helpful, solving my issue in one phone call.

I had a very good experience on the phone the other day with Rick. I was originally having trouble being my own payee. I had to go through a whole appointment process to finally start on my way to doing that. So I did the appointment process just for my doctor to say he was unable to verify me cause I hardly ever see him cause I am never really sick or if its just for a physical. An the one who originally diagnosed me was forever ago so he was retired. So I had to wait over a month and kept calling and calling a few times to see the status of the application and it was always just pending pending pending or wait for a decision until I got Rick. Rick went above and beyond in helping me finally get that done. So once again thank you Rick. I very much appreciate it.

When are you going to open back up again? Other places are open as long as one wears a mask. Some people don't have access to a computer to get an s.s. card replacement. Some can't figure out the page. Can get very frustrated for some of us.
