Had to call so many times to get someone to answer the phone. I was waiting on a new social security card after getting married. FINALLY reached someone only for them to tell me that they never got my application but my marriage license was uploaded. IT WAS SENT IN THE SAME PACKAGE! So frustrated and this doesn't feel like a trusting agency.

Horrible horrible horrible. I never got my social security card in the mail and after months of waiting and months of phone calls I was denied an appointment because it was not an emergency. I got a confirmation letter in the mail stating that I should have my new card in 2 weeks and to contact the office if I didnu2019t receive it. When I called for the 6th time the office said they needed to see my ID to submit another request for the card. They asked me to mail in my driveru2019s license which I need in order to drive my car. They wouldnu2019t accept a photo copy either. The man who answered the phone (donu2019t have his name unfortunately) just said u201cthe SSA is not telling you to drive without a license but we have to see it and we canu2019t make an appointmentu201d Well, then what ARE you telling me to do then?!? I finally called another office who kindly offered me an appointment and who was sympathetic to my problem. I would give them less than one star if I could. Never go here. Go to the Inkster office instead. Horrible customer service and lazy people who donu2019t want to do their job.

No respect for the elderly, donu2019t return phone calls, waiting time over 2 hours every time. Escamilla is nothing but a rude, disrespectful, impolite individual. And the list goes on, only if i took down the names of the rude employees iu2019ve dealt with I can come up with a dozen. This place is a constant reminder to me that when you get old and become in need, everyone tries to step on you when youu2019re simply asking for your rights.

Employees are very helpful when you ask them questions on the phone. Iu2019ve had quite a few questions and they are knowledgeable and usually kind. However, I filled out a form to change my name after getting married and they mailed me back a social security card with the wrong name on it. Seriously? They didnu2019t read the form I filled out with what Iu2019d like my new name to be. They just assumed a name and put it on the form.

I have been contacting them multiple times because they cut off my Social Security and havenu2019t returned my calls after calling multiple times and them saying that I will be contacted within two business days and have yet to be contacted they said my case was with Ms.Baldwin we are in a pandemic and I got my Social Security because I had a Trumatic brain injury not some other reason that u can easily recover from. I do not work because I am not physically able to do anything I was able to do in the past and because of the pandemic I donu2019t even leave the house. Tomorrow I am not scheduled to receive my social security and I donu2019t know how everything is gonn get paid without it because we are in a pandemic and I canu2019t even drive or do any work yet as many times as I have contacted this office and been promised a call back since January I havenu2019t received one they do not care about their people at all itu2019s been months of calling not days God help anyone who needs help from this office

In and out there was a 15 mins wait on Thursday around 3:30

I got there at 9:15 a.m. on a Wednesday and was out of the building by 9:36 a.m. I was expecting worse. I was pleasently surprised with how nice the staff was. The woman at the counter said Wednesday wait times aren't too bad. During busy times, the wait can be up to 2 hours.

Took 2 hours and 7 mins to change my name. The actual time it took to change my name was 4 mins talking with a staff member. Had to stand the entire time because there's limited chairs. People were sitting on the floor. They got two stars because the lady I spoke with was very friendly.

Waited 4 hours at the office to get a replacement ssc, a month and a half later i still have not been sent my card. I called to see whats going on, the man on the phone was no help. Basically said i was lying about never receiving it and that there was nothing they could do, all that can be done is go back up to the office and request ANOTHER ssc. Mind you, you can only get a certain amount of replacements through out your life. Well im back at the office and its been another 4 hours ive been waiting. DO NOT LET THEM LIE TO YOU THE TYPICAL WAIT TIME AT THIS LOCATION IS MOST DEFINITELY 4-5 HOURS. The staff is ridiculously slow
    Anesa Perault
Unorganized in the waiting room. There can be someone waiting three hours and another come in and be taken care of right away. Not enough seating for how large our city is. Not to mention the security guard was not nice. Dont want to post swear words on google but he was definitely an a$$. You can tell he's bitter about not being able to be a cop, so he settled for a security position.
    Simone Clark
I went in on a Wednesday morning and believe it or not I was in and out in 7 minutes. Truly unheard of for me. So I will definitely be returning to this location again. Everyone I spoke with was nice and understanding.

I am glad I read the reviews of the various Social Security offices in Western Wayne County. The Dearborn office definitely deserves the high ratings you see on the Google reviews. We were in and out quickly and the people were courteous and helpful. What a pleasant surprise - all government offices could use this group as their role model.

The staffs were all polite and cordial. The computer system was slow when we went in, and the lady kept apologizing for the delay and even made small talk and jokes to make us feel comfortable. Amazing!
    Pradeep
Very polite and extremely helpful people. Wish some of the staff gets transferred to Secretary of State office in Dearborn to help them learn what it means of exceptional customer service :) If there is an award for the best government office in the entire Detroit Area( at the least), it should go to this place for the employees there.

The officers know exactly what they're doing. They processed a name change application for me (I am a foreign national) with only one visit in promised time, which another office couldn't do or give me an explanation in 5 months.

Horrible, I waited for more than 2.5 hours just to change status on SS. Very disorganized; nobody can tell you how long it would take. Microphone quality terrible. I donu2019t want to come here again.
    Nicole Rodriguez
The staff here are extremely helpful and treat you kindly. Place is very clean and the wait time goes pretty quickly.
    Sabrina Ellison
Horrible, I really dont know how they have any good reviews over crowed not enough seats and you cant sit on the floor, my whole leg is numb and Im not being allowed to sit.
    Nurra Naimi
    Employees are rude and unhelpful
    Bill Armstrong
Couldnu2019t have been better honestly. I talked to several people there from the security guard to office staff and everyone couldnu2019t have been nicer and more helpful it was just awesome
    Ann Sleiman
Absolute garbage. Clearly! They need to hire more people. Whoeveru2019s in charge of that is incompetent. Donu2019t come here because youu2019ll never leave.
