The worst social security office by far. Never answer phones, sends requests for paperwork they have had (and confirmed having) for months. Formally reported them for negligence. Honestly should be shut down.

Just called the Norwood Office. Seconds after making it thru the typical recorded options before being allowed to hit 0 to talk to a rep - a most informative and pleasant representative named Jason answered the call and within minutes fully handled my request.

If you can, try to make an in-person appointment rather than sending applications in the mail.nnI sent in an application with important documentation back in June, and never heard back. I have a photo of the envelope I sent it in, so I'm positive I wrote the address correctly. When I called, they said they never received the application.nnI am guessing this is probably the fault of the postal service and not the SSA, but it's still frustrating because now I have no way to retrieve the documentation I sent with it.

I have had three visits to the Norwood office over the past year and could not be more pleased with the professional quality and expertise of the staff. At each visit, a staff member spent as much time as needed with me and my wife, answering all our questions and helping us navigate our decision about when to start receiving benefits. On one occasion the staff member remained even though the office had closed at noon (on a Wednesday) making sure we fully understood our options and required next steps.

My husband and I were very fortunate to have Mrs Goman from the Norwood Social Security office assisting us with telephonically signing up for our benefits. She was knowledgeable, professional and very personable. Very helpful and an asset in her position. Thank you.

Convenient location off of Rte 1 with ample parking. Efficient and kind employees. I showed up at the office at 9:13 am (13 minutes after they opened) midweek and there were 7 people in front of me. I was seen at 9:35am. Do yourself a favor and go as soon as they open. Bring a book because there will inevitably be a wait at a government office such as this. But I had a pleasant experience.

Didn't call back for two months. If I could give this a negative rating I would. My waiver went in before it was due I didn't owe anyting. I was totally convinced that Laura and Miss Mavis were helping me. nope as soon as I stopped calling they stopped helping you have to stay on these people to be perfectly honest least you didn't care and I lost a lot of money I couldn't have my surgery and I'm disgusted with the Norwood office

There is no comparison between the Norwood Social Security office and the Attelboro office. Norwood Social Security office was knowledgeable helpful and able to work with me to provide accurate information and filled out the form's. They were kind professional and extremely knowledgeable. This was not the case with the Attelboro Social Security office. They were not as knowledgeable as the Norwood office and were not friendly or helpful. I hope that Norwood Social Security office is recognized for their professionalism courteous manner and their ability to work with the public. No matter how my case turns out I really appreciated being treated with respect and dignity!! Thank you to the staff of the Norwood Social Security office.

This place is ridiculous. Typical of government only one desk is open serving people. The rest of the employees probably forgot to show up. We need to demand that the contract more of these services so there is some accountability. Government cost so much we should demand more and get a lot more. This is a disgrace.

Very bad on the phone. Did not call when they made THE APPT. Called them on hold 25 mins 1st time, then they hung up on me w/o ans my call. 2nd call rt after 1st on hold again for another 30 mins. Just a recording every few seconds. Bad way to do business. Very disappointing. Still haven't called me back after leaving multiple messages on ppl answering machines.
