Got there first thing this morning to apply for a corrected card. (I didn't feel comfortable mailing primary documents in.) It was super easy -- in & out within a half hour. There were about 3-4 people in front of me right at 9:00a on a Wednesday. No issues finding a metered spot on the street. Everyone was very friendly and efficient!

Is there any problem in the application?nWhat we should do, seeing the current insurance is running to the end.nI do not know where I can get help.nNo one answered any phone call, or just picking up and hanging off.nIt is not the way to serve senior citizens over 70!

Moved here for work and sent in an application for an SSN. Did not hear back after a month. I can't make an appointment and no one answers the phone. I have been calling at different times throughout the day for 2 weeks with no answer. Singlehandedly the worst service I have ever experienced.

Walked in with no appointment at 9 am and was done in 10 minutes. Polite staff and well-organized process.

Ever since covid, the office could care less about making sure that you recieve proper help and that can be a direct attack on someone who is already struggling with mental health issues . If I could make a suggestion, I would say make appointments possible for people who are expressing to you that they need further assistance instead of turning them away and telling them to go online. It is not helpful at all and more problems are being generated as a result.

Phones are not allowed in there. But the staff were very friendly, and they went through the process so quickly that I got to finish applying for my SSN in 10 minutes.

I just spoke to Ochoa on the phone. She was incredibly kind and helpful. I highly recommend working with her if you get the chance. 5 out of 5 service!nnHowever, I have had quite a lot of trouble getting through to the social security office, hence my reduction of 5 stars to 4

Ditto. Called every day for a week, sometimes 3-4X per day. After 20 minutes wait, call is dumped. Just trying to get an appointment
    Susan Alexander
Appointments only. Of course IF YOU HAVE COMPUTER YOU CERTAINLY CAN DO ONLINE.
    Kevin Buttow
I don't know why they give a paper with the phone number to call and make an appointment if no one answers this phone, it looks like they're sleeping at work
    Robin Gibbs
Just tried to call and neither of the local office numbers I was given 6-8 weeks ago is working. You dial the number and nothing. The call does not connect to anything. Just silence.

Do they ever pick up a phone call? tried many times and never got anyone picked up my call. Unfortunately it is the only way to get anything done
    Subhas Kamath
Everything was done professionally. The kiosk near the entrance for getting one's waiting token was user friendly - one can easily navigate thru' the menu and get it by oneself. The security guy was nearby to help, if needed. I had a twenty minutes wait. The person handling my application was very polite and efficient. He even gave me a few tips to make sure that my card reaches my mailbox.

The fact SSA expect people to trust the post office with their legal documents is 100% absurd. The people in this office are always inconvenienced by your call or asking for assistance. What kind of half a** organization is this and whose responsible for it a staffing? Such a joke.
    Jiahao Zhang
The SSA here is one of the most efficient spot I've ever seen! They closed the walk in due to the pandemic, but I got a reply and a solution within 3 days after I mailed in my documents!

Great office. In the street, there are some parking spots (payable via Passport app) ; it took me less than 5 min to find 1. I waited less than 25 min before being called to a counter. The officer was nice, quick and efficient to process our 4 SSN applications. It's definitely less crowded than SSA in Boston
    Ali Alsamarah
No stars at all. Disappointing service. They don't accept in-person visits, and there is no one to pick the phone to make online appointments. We have been waiting for > 2 months for SS card.

Actually pleasant. Parking is not bad: a few metered spots and a shopping center a couple blocks away. Waiting area is basic, but that's to be expected. The wait wasn't long (20 min.) and the person who helped me was pleasant, competent, and professional. I suggest you go mid-morning or mid-afternoon, when it's probably less busy.
    Kathryn Dorsey
Abysmal service. They lost my passport. Bad communication between staff members - I spoke to 3-4 individuals within the span of a week who were surprised by what I said every time I called. They did nothing to take responsibility for the loss or assist me with recommendations about how to proceed.

I went for a new social security card and made sure to get there around 9:30 am. Parking is limited if you get there after 10am but I found a space. I was in and out in 25 minutes!! Fastest I've ever been able to get anything done WITHOUT an appointment. Make sure to bring as many documents as you can (Drivers license, social security card, birth certificate, passport etc.) It makes the process go much faster!!
