I called at 8:00AM and the lady I spoke to was so rude, she told me her name was Williams (probably fake name). She didn't take the time to listen to what I was saying to her and proceeded to talk over me. I was being very polite to her as she sounded irate upon answering the phone. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Please everyone avoid this place, the experience there will ruin your day. It surly ruined mine, as my problem was not resolved.

Horrible. They are rude that hang up on you. Make sure you're very calm when you speak with them. To their standards. Or they'll hang up on you and you'll have problems getting back in touch. They r the worse.

Three visits to the office and a long wait each time. Told the original birth certificate was not good enough, needed a certified copy from the state. Went to the state they stated they do not issue certified certificates. Went back with what they gave me. It was OK. Then there was a problem with the name on my SS account. I'm a Jr. and the account didn't list that. So they had to make the correction, send another card, they said I could come back. Made no difference my father had been dead for over 45 years and never collected a penny from SS because he died before he came of age.

To make a long story short I had to come back to the Kenner location on 4 to five different occasions because I was getting turned around saying I need different documents and every time I came with the documents they ask for they would ask for something else. Last time I went they told me I couldn't receive benefits because of my past criminal history. Went to the New Orleans location and was told that it wasn't true on my case. I was in fact able to receive the benefits. The staff at the Kenner location were just lazy and didn't want to do the work on my case. Honestly most of the staff were very nice but I didn't appreciate the lack of work ethic and honesty of some

I came to this location on a Wednesday morning to change the name on my SS card and was in and out in under 15 minutes. There's ample free parking and the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole process was easy and seamless! It's worth driving a little out of the way to this location.

It's a government program so you can expect this place to be about as well organized as a pile of ants. Each individual is friendly and seems knowledgeable but as soon as you deal with the bureaucracy instead of an individual it becomes nightmarish. they get important details wrong (the kind that jeopardize your service) and it feels like they just don't want to hear from me unless I show up at their door and sit around for at least an hour.

I have tried to get a problem resolved for the past 8 months. Still not resolved! I have been lied to from case worker all the way up to the manager... Either, they are the most lazy bunch of State workers, or just trying to cover up by lies.... I'm going in today for the 4th time.. I'm not going to let them lie and weasel out again. I'm not leaving until I get the right answer.

I have driven over there 2x because you cannot get anyone on the phone. The 2nd time they were closed and a note on door said due to plumbing. That was MONDAY. They don't post a word about it so we don't know if its open yet or still closed. It is pretty far to drive and no one answers except an automated system. If we go to another location can we get taken care of? These locations are much further.......so we don't know which way to turn. Very inconvenient.nnLynn Deshotel

Friendly staff, but the seating area is horrible. everyone is so squished together, its hard to breathe. The wait time is everything you would expect for a government office, depending what youre there for. I was in and out within 1.5 hours.

The case worker I use to have G.Johnson should be fired. She failed to let me know what documents I needed to bring in, or mail me a letter stating they were going to stop my daughter's benefits. I brought in what she told me(in person)to bring which was in Oct & she waited til Dec & lied & said she mailed me a letter, so they stopped my daughter's benefits for Jan. That woman didnt answer my calls or return messages & I left her 3 mssgs one time(in Oct). When I asked to report her it's like they(the gm) wasn't trying to hear my side of the story because I asked them why Johnson failed to notify me of any changes and the gm just ignored my questions.They act like they hate to see certain folks get benefits when they need it the most smh.I hate to say but I think Johnson is racist & she don't need to be working there if she's going to lie & say what she did or didn't do &just ignores her calls & mssgs from certain folks. Smh

This place lies on you i got a letter in the mail said I was denied and that they talked to me at some point September 12th thats impossible I was seeing drs all day that day well the letter said I was denied because when I talked to them I told them I did not want to file for ssi when I started my application what do they think I was applying for my whole body is in bad shape there is no way I can work anymore I know it's hard to get anyway but for them to lie and say I said I didn't want to apply is just disgusting and the social security I'm asking for I paid in all those years working this is not a loan I'm asking for I'm down to where I can work and can't even get the money I paid in to them so why do they exist if they are not there to help a person that has become disabled

I went to get my social security card updated. They sent my card to the wrong adress. Called to get the problem resolved and waited on the phone 40 minutes. Finally got through to a rep and was on hold for 25 minutes until they just hung up all together.

Parking is an ordeal. The lobby is small and offers inadequate seating and standing is not allowed. Insufficient levels of privacy due to lobby issues.
