Ms. Harris of the Jackson, Michigan office was amazing, she set me up for a phone call appointment. She went over all of the information I needed to complete my SSA application. Chris called me within 60 minutes and in 24 minutes, I was signed up for SSA benefits. Ms Harris and Chris were exceptional.

Have called the 1-800 number 7 times just to be hung up on each time by the automated system. When will the office open to public, the customer service is horrible.

I spoke with a women named Renaee, and she has to be the worst human being I ever spoke with. My father sadly passed away before he could collect the disability that had been owed to him for years. My brother and I supported him financially at this very difficult time. I called to check the status on the claim and she informed me the money wasn't ours anyway so it shouldn't matter if it could take abother 2 plus years to return to us. She literally told me I was rude and it wasn't our money anyway. Id say it was the worst customer service ever, except united airlines has set that bar pretty high recently. At least I wasn't knocked out and dragged from my seat. Small victories.

As expected it was not a pleasant experience. The representative I had did help me to sign up for SS, but the process was time consuming.
