They refuse to mail our mother's Social Security tax statement. My sister is listed as her representative with their office and they updated mom's address last year to my sister's address. Our mom has alzheimer's. Her daughters are listed as POA. How are we supposed to file her taxes for her if we can't get her tax form? Surely we are not the only ones who are in this situation? With a parent who is not capable of doing it themselves? How do you expect us to do the right and legal thing for her and file her taxes?

This place is a mess. No way to drop off stuff u need to drop off for your case. No way to get ahold of them No matter how many times u call. I understand everyone scared of getting covid but atleast get a drop box or hire ppl to just answer the phones and get them the right ppp. I have an appointment today over the phone and cause they didn't change my phone number when I came in to change my name they going to call the wrong number and I am going to loose my help. I got so much I need to get for my child for her up coming surgery and I can't afford to lose this check. Do better please. Get a drop box or something. Smh.

Online it states that the SSA office is open until 4pm. I drove an hour to come drop off paperwork and the doors are locked and they only take drop off information on Wednesday. This should be provided publicly so people donu2019t waste their time driving here for nothing. Very inconvenient.

My situation was so frustrating that I had to contact our Indiana State Representatives Office to get help. It went on for 5 months and still is not resolved due to negligence and a lack of caring from this office. No one would help me until I got their office involved. Itu2019s still not corrected. Very disappointing.

The employee's at the social security office are a joke. They are very rude and seems to never update notes, communicate with one another on person's files. I wouldn't have to call numerous times if they would get it right the first time, second or even third. It's not my fault your pay sucks. If you don't like your job quit. Being rude and unprofessional don't get you know where.

The wait is long sometimes but I get great service

I went to resolve an issue. Several weeks later I called because the issue was still not resolved. They couldn't help over the phone so I had to take a day off work, drive over an hour to the closest office and speak to someone. The problem was that they forgot to make a copy of a certain form. A copy. I lost a day of work and drove 100 miles for a copy that I could have faxed or emailed if they would have told me over the phone.

All you ever get from these people is a run around. No help at all
    Jessica Boarman
The wait is unbearable. If you need to go plan on being there for 1-3 hours depending on your reason for going. The lines can be long and there's rarely more than 2 people available to answer your questions. If your inside the building prior too close you will be seen.

During prime time for tax preparers, instead of assisting social security recipients in opening a my ssa account, this office decided the social security program should be administered by the local tax preparation office. People visiting this office need to be aware that SSA professionals WILL pass the buck without hesitation. You are supposed to be paid Social Security professionals....stop passing the buck.

Very long waits! If you think you can take care of something over your lunch brake, no you cant! I attempted that twice and both times the clock ran out and I had to return to work.

I've been trying to get disability benefits for my 9month old son who has Down Syndrome, congenital heart disease, chronic lung disease, severe sleep apnea syndrome, has 1 lung pinching off his esophagus, & is tube fed, since June 2016. It is now December 2016 & I've been told he was approved, was assigned a caseworker, & now I can't even get a returned call from her or anyone for that matter! This place is a complete joke! People who need disability the most are the ones who suffer due to their blatant disregard for people! Very dissatisfied & unhappy!

Hours of operation doesn't help me. I work during those times. I am sure other people have that problem

If you manage to get through by phone, the rep you get may or may not be friendly or helpful. The one I got certainly wasn't. I hope this isn't what we can come to expect from them from now on.
