I have to say, they have been so helpful to me trying to get disability for my fatheru2026 which has been hell to say the least. Specifically, Jessica P is an incredible and helpful soul. With short staff, you just need to have patience for response times. They are doing the best they can right now.

If I get a call back today it would be a week from my previous message and I left another one today. I call apparently my case is sitting in someone's computer not activated yet. I call and leave voicemails with no responses, their phone system 13 of 19 times its busy and 3 of the 5 times its so static and crackly you cant hear anything. As soon as I ask them to look it over they transfer me to the person that has it in their inbox and I get pushed to voicemail. When they do call and I do get to talk to someone they are very informative.nnupdate: I'm up to 22 calls nownhit the 0 button when prompted to speak to the next rep and it hung up...nI'll get up to 50 calls today I'm sure of it, I'll dedicate my entire week to calling and getting my kiddos taken care of. I'll update at the end of each day with the list of calls and under the review I'll 1* with the amount of times that day.

A special shout out to SSA office at Crawfordsville! We were in urgent need of social security card for some personal reasons. After read some online reviews I was very concern that it may take much longer during the pandemic, and we may not be able to get the ssn in time. The calling to the Crawfordsville office was good, although I probably waited for 10 or 20 minutes. The officer figured out my needs quickly and made an appointment for two days later. We arrived at the office ahead of time, and the guard let us in after the person before us finished his. The lady in the office was very nice and easy going, and helped us with all our applications. I expressed my concern and was told the social security cards would arrive at my home 7-10 business days. It has been a week and 2 days(7 business days) since we visited the office, and the cards just arrived today. Glad to find that they are working normally during the pandemic.

If only negative stars were an option. I actually can't say what kind of experience I had since I've been trying to work out an issue since September and the manager (the only one running the office) has never answered the phone or returned messages. I understand being behind, but 7 months is a bit much. If I call other numbers, all they tell me is I have to go through the local office and to keep trying. Is this what passes for access to services in rural communities?
