Simply trying to get my name changed so I can update my license (just got married and moved here from out of state). Can't contact them by phone and you have to call to set up an apt. I waited 8 mins the first time I called and then all of the sudden, there was nothing no music, no ringing. The second time I called it said they were busy assisting other callers and didn't even put me on hold just hung up. The third time it put me on hold, rang once and then hung up. At this point I'm really frustrated.

They are not very helpful or kind. They hang up on me when I wasn't even done with my questions nor did anything get resolved. We have been having issues with this for months. They get the information wrong and then cancel any help that we are depending on for our child who is disabled. They don't want to see you in person which is a horrible way to get things done over phone calls and mail when they aren't willing to help accurately and efficiently. I wish I never had to call here or need their help but since we do, I wish they were polite, professional, and helpful. People who actually care and get things done and resolved.

Always got assistance if a new social security card was needed. Helpful and efficient at any questions asked at twin falls office when I needed to ask questions. Always had short wait time in office in twin falls idaho. Was wondering if all employment was reported to social security in the state of idaho though??? Tried to get registered on website but customer service not helpful because I could not remember answers for account from years ago. Now the ID me is saying I live in Colorado instead of idaho. Was not allowed to finish state I'd verification I was timed out.

If the website says you're open that means the building is open. Fix it ran all the way down here to find out you're not open. Your phone lines have been busy all day we have trying to calling you numerous times. This is getting ridiculous.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I completed a replacement card application online, then sent in the requested information. I never received any updates on my replacement card status. I call the local office hoping to get some help. The man on the phone was very rude, not helpful, and not professional whatsoever.

I have never dealt with Social Security in my life. Today I contacted them on the phone and waited less than a couple of minutes to talk to an agent. She was very nice and courteous. I asked my questions in regard to receiving Medicare at the age of 65 and what I need to do. I found that I could handle it all online. She was able to give me the address online of where to find the application and I found no issues whatsoever. I firmly believe that many times the tone of the Is set by the tone of the caller and it puts the employee handling the call either on her guard or helps her to be more relaxed. throughout my life I have always treated people like that on the phone or in person With respect and Iu2019d venture to say more than 95% of the time I found that even calls that should have been hostile come out with at least aNeutral tone and the problem can be resolved. As with anything thereu2019s always the exception to the rule and I have found through life that 1% of the people will always be a problem. But so far my dealings with Social Security have been one call and a pleasant one at that.

My daughter is autistic and at a 3 year old level. She receives ssi for her disability as she will never be able to function on her own. I received a mail in the letter stating that ssi is no longer making you get ahold of them regarding how much money goes into your account. Reading this as I no longer have to tell them my income and that my daughter will receive the 278 a month (which as any parent of a disabled child knows costs much, much more for therapyu2019s, driving, time etc etc) ssi gets ahold of me 1 year later after I started my job and says I owe them back all, that they said no longer needs to be reported... over $3000 worth back to them!!!!! I tried explaining to Maria on the phone for over an hour that they sent a letter stating I no longer had to let them know of my income. She immediately said upon talking about it for the first time, u201cI am in charge here at this office and I will deny you of any help!u201d She slipped at one point and said they have papers I could fill out in any case of a misunderstanding to fill out and they could reconsider the case. I asked her kindly at least a hundred times. Please send me the papers because it is an honest misunderstanding of them saying I did not need to report to them my money situation. She said, u201cno. I will not send you the papers because I will be looking at them and I will just deny it!u201d SO RUDE and completely unhelpful, understanding and heartless. Not only do single mothers with children struggle but my daughter struggles!!! She will never be able to live on her own like we all have the privilege of! And she is denying me the right I have by law to fill out the paperwork...that she will already deny it! My mother also read the paper ssi sent me and said, u201ccool, you wonu2019t have to let them know any longer about your bank account and Mia will always get her ssi.u201d This person Maria could care LESS about any childu2019s or families struggles and wants me to come up with over $3000 (which she kept overdoing the math and I kept having to correct her) without filling any paper and my daughter and I having no rights!!!!! I have never in my life wanted to get a lawyer but now I have to deal with lawyer fees in addition to the 3000, and stress and time. Zero customer service skills. How can they do this to a disabled child?? If I could give a zero I would. Last time I checked they did not have a 4 star. They had a 2 a few months ago. I wonder how many fake accounts are giving them higher. This agency and this worker deserve a 0 star!!!
