Newnan Social Security Office

Ms. Gibbs is the most responsive employee I have ever worked within the Social Security Administration. You can reliably count on her to answer the phone, she is responsive to questions and requests, and she always follows up with doing what she says she will do. Kudos to her for her exceptional service! Hopefully her supervisory management is taking care of this customer-focused employee and appropriately rewarding her.

Ms. Gibbs was most pleasant and helpful today! I know the office is very busy; however she was very patient and explained all options available regarding my problem. THANK YOU!

My wife and I both spoke to Alan Baker this morning, we were both pleasantly surprised at how helpful Alan was with several questions we had and how quickly he was able to give us answers.

Made an appointment and guard greeted me promptly. Staff member was polite and was in and out quickly.

The phone rings and rings and eventually it stops..as if it's answered but no one ever talks. What number actually connects? I can't set up an appointment if no one ever answers and you don't do walks ins cuz of covid19 so..

I have had a very confusing time with each individual I have spoken to. Until yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with Mrs. Beatles. She answered my questions and helped me to understand what was going on with my sons disability checks. Before the call ended she made sure that things were taken care of so my son can have the help he needs. Thank you so much for all your help Mrs. Beatles.

This place is UNBELIEVABLE..how can you LOOSE someone's information???? The officer that works there is worthless and doesn't know anything. Let me save you the trip..DON'T GO HERE.

I called waited on hold for 15 minutes to then be answered and asked for a brief hold. An additional 15 minutes later the phone line disconnected. I called again to be placed on hold again through the automation. The line was connected and this time there was no communication from a person, it rang three times and then placed to a hold again then I was hung up on AGAIN! Serve the individual when the phone call is queued!

Mr. Baxter insinuated that I had lied to him about not getting a letter. His computer eventually showed him my old address like I had said. He never apologized. The security guard let a woman come back after being gone for over 2 hrs. She was able to use her same number. And she didnt even have to wait like the rest of us. He told her in front of God and everybody that she would be called next, he'd make sure of it. Well I asked the security guard if I could run to my car real quick and grab my wallet because I had been rushing that morning. He said yeah that would be fine. Came back in 2 minutes later. Literally 2 minutes they had called my number and he told me that I would have to get another ticket and wait all over again. After a lady got to leave for over 2 hrs and use her same ticket with no wait time. So I had to come back a different day. I was told by Mr. Baxter that he was giving all my proofs to Mrs. Shelton. He came back and wanted to know a good contact number and time that she could call me that day. I told her anytime and she never called. That was a week ago. The 2 weeks before I have called this woman and left a message every single day on her extension. My son has been without insurance this entire month. And I am over it. These people are rude and dont care. I have 5 kids total and I dont have a babysitter so I cant just keep going up there.

Took my mother there for a replacement card. Staffs were all very nice and helpful to our needs. Our wait was no more than 10 minutes. The person that was helping us was very kind. Thank you sir forgive me for not remembering your name.

Inefficient and incredibly inept staff. Have been waiting for a corrected SS card since February 11thu2014 It is now April 30th. Thanks for hanging up on me instead of trying to resolve the issue!

I wanted to say thank you to Miss Beatels she was so helpful. Being new to the social security administration i had a bunch of questions and concerns. She was so professional and answered them all. She always returned my phone calls. So thank you again. You made a process of my life that honestly intimidated me a pleasant experience...

went in to get a replacement social security card for my grandson. Waited 17 minutes and after a 50 minute drive to get there was told that I did not have proper documentation. Had an official birth certificate that I had just obtained from Coweta Probate court as well as a very recent court order naming me as the legal guardian/custodian. They refused both of the documents and said that I needed immunization records. I asked them if I could have doctor's office fax immunization records and they even refused to accept that solution. These people are typical government workers and only exist to make their customers lives even more complicated and stressful.

The Newnan office has a few incompetent people who does not know their job well at all. The case worker I have speaks English as a Second Language. Therefore, itu2019s very hard to understand what sheu2019s saying. Secondly, she does not know the process/checklist that needs to be done to properly handle a case. This lady has called me and sent letters for the same documentation that I have submitted to the office TWICE. I have made a total of 3 trips within a 4 week time frame and my case has not processed. Donu2019t waste your time coming here if you want your info processed in a timely manner. Now I have to make another trip to Newnan to speak with manager/lead in the office. This has been a big inconvenience to my family due to incompetent individuals who were hired to do a job that they are clearly failing at.

I came in on Fri at 3:30 for a few questions. They close at 4, but thought since I was close, I should try. I waited maybe 5 mins and Mr. Henderson was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and understanding. I really appreciated the help.

Waiting times are horrible and simple tasks take forever. There are 12 windows and only 2 are open. The third window closed after finishing one case.nI have already spent 1 hour waiting and I am sure I have to wait another hour or until I run out of time and need to head back to the office. I guess that's a way to solve waiting issues and just force people to wait until they give up.

I went in to get one thing & the LADY (office manager, I think) was so informative & helpful with other questions that I had about getting help for my High Functioning AUTISTIC SON that is now 21 & has never had any assistance bcuz I have not been informed of his RIGHTS. Now I am going to pray that I can get the help he needs. Thank You NEWNAN Office.

Great service !! Although it gets full and not enough chairs !! But I believe her name was Mrs.Outlaw (name by her stand) , was so nice and helpful !! didn't have to wait for long .

They never answer the door. Other businesses are operating fully and using proper precautions, why can't they??

They were fast about getting people to Windows and they were able to give me answers within 10 minutes when we made it to the window.

We started this process in April today is December 4 we still canu2019t get a confirmation number we canu2019t reach anybody we made four trips to the Newnan office without any success .

Moved right along with our requests and made the experience better than it could've been.

Long wait. Not enough seats in waiting area. Freindly staff though.

Waiting time is little bit long. However, the service is good.
