Office is non responsive and has bad customer service. I had a appointment and received a call. The phone call dropped on the behalf of social security 'terrible phone connection. The representative never attempted to call back. I called back the main ss line and the official told me the representative told her he was going on break! He responded with call back the following Monday and now the phone lines are down! What a great way to spend our tax dollars!

Due to Covid they are making you leave your personal information/ original documents in a drop off box. I left my DL and my marriage license. The representative only mailed me back my marriage certificate and kept my DL. He called to dispute that he did tape it to the receipt, but he obviously did not because I would saw tape or something connected to the paper. Now I have to worry if my DL are in the wrong hands. Unbelievable smh

After waiting a month for information about my claim, I decided to call the covington ga office. Mr. Williams was able to make corrections and get it processed. He was very polite, professional and helpful. He made a stressful situation better. I absolutely appreciate you, Thank you.

I have called 3 times today to try and communicate with someone about the changes in my sons income for his SSI. I havenu2019t been able to connect to anyone one over the phone because once I get to the option to talk to a live person it rings two times and then the call is cancelled. I also set up direct deposit the second month my son was approved for and receiving his SSI in the mail via check and they never sent it through and a few months later we got a letter in the mail saying weu2019d be penalized if a direct deposit wasnu2019t set up immediately for my sons checks. We accidentally called the dekalb office and they managed to help us and his very next check was sent via direct deposit. Only the Covington office seems to be having these issues.

Horrible. Iu2019ve been calling the past 3 days and have yet to speak to someone. Well someone did answer once & immediately advised me they were putting me on a brief hold before asking or saying anything, after waiting for another 45 minutes the phone hung up. The last time I called I literally waited for 1 hour 17 min & was in awe at the ridiculously long wait time still without speaking to a representative.

They have the worst customer service ever! They truly do not care. They keep asking me for unemployment information when they can see everything I see! On top of this why keep asking for my wage assistance information when that ended in August! If yu2019all donu2019t want my special needs child to get benefits just say that!

Racist!!! I was trying to obtain new social security cards for my children. I called before I went up there and they stated the only thing I needed was immunization forms from the doctor for both children. After waiting for an hour and a half the clerk tells me those immunization records were not good enough and then I needed them signed by the doctor this should have been told to me when I called asking what information I would need.

Absolutely horrible and incompetent examiners. BEWARE they hang up on you and play games when you call. I am permanently disabled medically from the VA due to serious mental health and orthopedic conditions. Not only was I denied with over 300 pages of supporting documentation, they told me u2018even though Iu2019ve experienced difficulties I my condition isnu2019t severe enough to be considered disablingu2019 and my conditions arenu2019t severe enough to prevent me from working. But couldn't/wonu2019t tell me what they denied me for. They never sent me to any of their medical people to verify anything or confirm the disabilities. I would recommend getting an attorney or going somewhere else. Its infuriating that I served my country for 15 years and paid into Social Security just to be denied when I need it most.

The representative that I spoke to hung up in my face. They're not taking any appointments but on one hand say to do everything online but then she says, they have no access to online applications and files. Very unprofessional. This was the social security office in Covington, GA.
    Katiana Michel
Why are they still stalling? It has almost been a year with no funds. The numbers dropped weeks ago and they are still acting as if it is a full blown lock down. This is so unprofessional and disrespectful.

When I call the office number, the recording says this number isnu2019t available in my area. I can talk to anybody. I need information before I go down there.
    Madeline Hill
Besides it being packed (but you should expect that in a SS office anyhow) they had great customer service and I was in and out. Maybe sat with the CS rep for 5 minutes.
    Monica Taylor
It's a typical government building/business. It'll never be perfect, But the people are nice. And to call them racist because they tell you that your paperwork needs to be corrected is absurd.

Service was okay and didnt have to wait so long.
    Lari Lo
They have the worst customer service ever.
    Debby Richardson
Extremly rude every time I go in. It takes all day to be called, then half of a day to get answers from questions I have. They look down on people with disabilities then act as if they are better than I am.nEvery time I go in there, counselors are walking around, talking with co worker's instead of dealing with citizens who are there trying to conduct buisness which takes forever. Does not answer phone calls and counselors working or assigned to a persons case. Does not return phone calls when messages are left on answering machines.nI've yet to get a good counselor that doesn't cop an attitude with me as I'm trying to either explain something or ask questions. They act like I'm interrupting their day and that it's to much trouble to do their job in a professional manor. They also like to hurry people through so they have time to converse with co workers as well or take their breaks etc.nI hate going there and Dred having to go Every time I get a letter from Social Security and have questions about the letters I get.nBy the time I leave the facility, I'm so stressed out I can't wait to get home and get away from these people.nThey certainly don't care about anyone else's time, feelings or issues concerning Social Security disability.nThere needs to be some house cleaning in this facility to bring in component people to work at this facility.

All I wanted to do is change my name and get a new ss card, but the one woman I keep getting has messed up not once but twice and now for the third time in a 2 weeks I will have to go up there and get my card sent to the right address I hope no one has opened and tried to use my ss card.

Absolutely horrible and incompetent examiners. I was medically retired from the military due to serious mental health and orthopedic conditions. Not only was I denied with over 4000 pages of supporting documentation, they told me I could just find another type job, but couldn't tell me what. They never sent me to any of their medical people to verify anything or confirm the disabilities. I would recommend getting an attorney or going somewhere else. Its infuriating that I served my country for 16 years and paid into this ponzi scheme just to be denied when I need it most.

They lady who assisted me was very nice. Its took a about an hour and a half until I was called but that was because they were having computer problems.
