Ms Whittaker (I hope that is her name) took my call and was very polite and professional. She was able to answer all my questions and even get me an appointment for next week. She explained the process of changing my name after a divorce, and for getting a replacement card for my toddler.

Ms. Harris assisted me in resolving an issue I had in signing up for Medicare Part B. She was so professional, courteous, and reassuring. She looked into the problem right away, resolved it, and called me back as promised the next business day to let me know it had been resolved. Superlative customer service!

I mailed out my application to have my name changed after I got married March 13th and have heard nothing back since then. It is August 11th. Every time I call them, they tell me the same exact thing,Oh I'm sorry to hear that, that shouldn't have happened. Give me your name and number and I'll have someone reach out to you.I have heard that so many times and I still never get a call back. This is the most useless place to get anything done. They have my marriage license and my military dependent ID and they can't tell me where those documents are. I'm completely fed up with this place and the employees for not helping me.

This place has been horrendously slow since COVID-19 protocols went into place last year. A family member of mine has been trying to get a replacement SS card for their child and they've been getting the run around for almost an entire year. They've been told to send documents on at least 4 separate occasions and each time they've been told it wasn't enough to prove identity (and they've sent EVERYTHING they were asked to!). There is no clarity or transparency in the process whatsoever.nnThere is no excuse for this from a federal entity. It's a shame.

The customer service at this Social Security office is second to none! I needed to replace my SS card after my wallet was stolen. Since I had no ID whatsoever, the staff there helped me to obtain what I needed at the local hospital, preventing a two-hour drive to pick up additional paperwork. They answered all of my questions, and treated both my husband and I as individuals, not as numbers or inconveniences. Theyu2019re quick and efficient and I think they all deserve a big raise for doing the important work they do, with lovely attitudes and with expertise.nnAre they really government workers? Their customer orientation suggests otherwise, but what they do is clearly government oriented. OK, theyu2019re amazing and they know their jobs and care about their customers. Theyu2019re unlike any other government office Iu2019ve dealt with!nnNext time I go, Iu2019m taking them cookies! Thank you, Brunswick, Georgia Social Security office employees, for being the best! I appreciate you!

Why do they work 3 hours on Wednesdays???? That makes absolutely no sense to me. People have to get things done on Wednesdays just like any other day of the week.
