Well, everyone has had issues during the pandemic yet the FL has been more free than the rest of the country so the problems they are experiencing seems self inflicted. They are supposed to be taking appointments but are not, why? Some things can't be handled online so then they need to answer the phone. Also, they don't answer the phones at 9 AM so what are they doing? You are paid to provide a service so we should hold them accountable to do so.

Itu2019s a shame Port Saint Lucie social security administration does not do good job on handling peopleu2019s needs for their service. First waiting on phone line for more than 2 hours while phone keeps on ringing. Second when you finally get of hold of someone they trying to rush you to hang up. . Third not having knowledge on how system works. Apparently a passport with a legal US permanent resident stamp is not enough you need a resident card. What a joke. What are they doing with our money they need to hire more staff.

Had to wait on the phone for 20 minutes, but with everything the way it is in the world right now, it's not their fault. They are working with minimal staff and trying to help everyone on the phone. I can't even begin to imagine the harassment they have to deal with. When I got a live person, the poor woman sounded harried, so I joked with her and we had a very pleasant 5 minute conversation.
    Motivation Is the key
Make you wait outside in the hot sun ud83dudd25 this older lady looked like she was going to pass out.. when you finally get in they make every excuse not help you. Very rude ask to speak to the manager and she came in with a attitude and saidbelieve me the guy you talking to been here for years he knows what he's doingI couldn't even talk. She was talking over me neither one wouldn't give me their names. There's no one you can call and report anything to so they know they can talk to you Any kind of way. Awful people!

I called on December 10, 2021 and waited for 25 mins and when someone did answer the phone the young lady was rude and i asked her how do i go about getting my son medical card information too go too the doctor and how would i do that. She was rude from every 3 question i asked her. Then she just hung up on me bad business all together. They need too monitor the calls too see what there workers are doing too customers.

Cannot get through on the phone. Sent email asking to set up an appointment or call back, all I got was a form letter response. Waste of our tax payer money. I live 40+ miles from the closest office. Need to know a good time to go there.

Applied on Feb 10. Website says 2 to 4 weeks to process application. It have been 11 weeks. Sent messages online with no response. I call and have waited as long as an hour and get disconnected every time. Very frustrating.

Scheduled phone interview for Nov16 , 2021 and Mr. Champagne called at scheduled time . Very firm but knowledgeable and helpful . Stated the process would take approx 5 weeks . 6 weeks later we received the approval letter . I want to thank Mr. Champagne for all his assistance as we had previously waited 1 yr to file . My wife , stepson and myself cannot state enough our heartfelt thanks to Mr Champagne. God Bless !!!

Would give them a negative 5 stars if possible can't enter without an appointment, can't make an appointment online for this office, call the phone number provided and put on hold continuously until they arbitrarily decide that we're not important enough and hang up on us with no words whatsoever.

The Port St. Lucie, Florida office is the worst. Iu2019ve called for 3 days straight and nobody answers the phone. My question is if they are lifting all the Covid restrictions, why are they not going back to the office where they have to answer the phone?

Iu2019ve been trying to contact the PSL office for 2 months now and nothing. I went there and was told that I have to call and get an appointment. How? If they donu2019t have the decency to answer the phone!! I canu2019t believe we pay our taxes for nothing but I bet they will reach out if I owe moneyu2026. Big disappointment.

I was sent a letter stating that I needed to submit paperwork that I have already submitted and that I needed to contact the number and extension in the letter. I have called everyday for a week and left specific messages, no one has returned my call. Today I called and got the operator who forwarded my call to another extension that went to voicemail as well. So my daughter's claim will be denied even though I did everything they asked and I get to start the process all over again.

The Port Saint Lucie Social Security Office is staffed with arrogant condescending workers. As an advocate for seniors Iu2019ve experienced this first hand.

I recently called about questions regarding my in-laws' benefits and Mr. Champagne was the best thing that could have happened to us. He took his time, was thorough, clear, patient and extremely helpful. I didn't expect this treatment from the SS office but not oh boy was I surprised and thankful. Please recognize his excellence because you need more people like him on your staff.

The guy on the phone promptly answered all my questions and got me my new social fixed! Everything was perfect!

Hung up on me for trying to ask a question and get the agent to understand my situation. Wasn't rude or belligerent to the person whatsoever, and now they won't answer. Very unprofessional. I just needed help understanding what was going on.

My wife and family are taking an urgently trip due to my parents health next week and my wife needs her name changed on her SS card in order to get her name changed with the DMV. This is an urgent matter for my family and when my wife called was told that she needed to send our one and only copy of our marriage certificate to them and then they would send it back. Then we would need to go to schedule another appointment at the DMV to get her name changed on her license. This would not be possible due to our timeline for the flight for which my wife needs her updated name on her ID. These people have made it so difficult to get these simple things done. The entire county has opened back up from covid and yet these people are still sitting at home and not doing their jobs. When you call the 866 number the teleprompt states that in an emergency case, you can schedule an appointment at the office, but it took me 2 calls and 3 hours to get someone on the phone to listen in order to be told that since Monday is a Holiday, even if the Manager was to say we could go to the office and get it taken care, we still would not be able to get this done in the timeline needed for our flight next Wednesday. My question is, why do they need Columbus Day off when they've all been at home doing everything they possibly can to NOT do their jobs during the Covid Crisis?
    Michelle Tedeschi
Canu2019t get ahold of anyone to set up a appointment.nWhat a nightmare dealing with these people .
    George Martinez
This is totally ridiculous that with the online application does not give really any reason for when a person in need of unemployment is disqualified and when you try to call the number it says no one is available try again later every time!!! This is soooo ridiculous!!!!! There should be a better organized way of getting the answers you need!
    Kimberly Welborn
I took my mother-in-law today. We had a appt. And could not find a parking spot. There were many people stand in in a line out the front door. Thank God it was cool day today because there was many mothers holding babies and disabled elderly with canes like my mother-in-law. We had to park at the dollar tree up the road and walk back to her. Well we are waiting for her to be seen now. Hopefully it gets better will up date soon. Someone needs to work on parking because there are many people that need to be there and not enough spaces.
    Laura DiCarlo
Horrible..I waited 25 min on the phone and I couldn't get an appt.
    Christian Dopazo
This location is is terrible my great-aunt called in to inquire about a service, the representative referred her to the children and family when it's a service by SS. It has been three months of calling back and forth, none of the reps are willing to help. It felt to us she was being discriminated against for not speaking English.
    Rose Marie Gonzalez
Even with a super long line they moved rather quickly. The parking lot was full. We were informed where we could park so our vehicles don't get towed away for using another establishment's parking area. It is always full since it's the only office for miles.
    Wolfie Gonyea
The staff at this office are dealing with large crowds each day, but still manage to make people feel like they are more than just numbers. Wait times can be long, but the staff do their best to take care of each person so as not to make them have to return to finish their business.
